Health Tips while on Travel
Diet
Whatever your diet happens to be, assuming that it's healthy and works for you, continue it while on travel. This sounds easier than it often is. Sometimes it can be difficult to find suitable foods and supplements within a practical distance from where you are working or staying (hotel).
- Pack vitamins and supplements
- Drink plenty of water, regardless of what else you eat or drink
Exercise
- Pack suitable shoes, socks and clothing for whatever workout or running routine you prefer.
- Use the hotel fitness room if you can
- Body resistance workouts are ideal for travel
- Some hotel stairwells have overhead pipes or stair rails which can be used for pull-ups and other workout routines.
- Pack an elastic resistance band for in-room workouts
- Runners: If you're not familiar with the area, ask the hotel staff for best routes
Sleep
- Set your wake-up alarm in advance
- Plan for prep time, if needed (shower, shave, dress, eat breakfast - if you do, etc.)
- Travel time to the customer office
- Use music or white noise to drown outside noise if needed
- Avoid caffeine and other stimulants within 6 hours of bed time
Drinking
- For every drink, consume an equal amount of clean/filtered water before going to sleep
- Extra vitamin B12 next morning
