What are some common indicators that an SSD may be failing?

Common indicators than a SSD may be failing would be bad blocks, file system repair but no physical damage is detected, it is only in read-only, and crashing

How do SSD failures differ from HDD failures in terms of detectability?

SSD failures differ from HDD failures in terms of detectability because an HDD has an actual moving disk in it, so when it is failing you can actually hear it such as whirring, crackling, shattering, and others

What are bad blocks in an SSD, and how do they affect its performance?

Bad blocks in an SSD is what is called flawed memory, it affects it's performance by not being able to access the block of memory and it is just orphaned and cannot be used and it will continue to accumulate if bad practices are still being used and would render the SSD inoperable.

How can power cycling an SSD help resolve certain issues?

If the SSD drive becomes corrupted because of a power outage, then power cycling it without it plugged into the SATA, will make it correct itself. ##How might this topic be relevant in the aftermath of a natural disaster? Describe how individuals or communities can use these techniques to recover data and resume their normal activities. In case of a power outage, you can power cycle to SSD, if after the natural disaster, if you can still plug it in and it runs fine, chances are the SSD will be salvageable. If yo plug it in and you see signs of it failing, then it would be good consideration to get a new SSD.

What I would like to know more about

I would like to know more about the inner workings about an SSD and how to be able to extract data from a fairly damaged and inoperable SSD.
