Post 1: Pre-Production
Hello Everyone, again... So, its the end of 2024.
And moving forward with next year, there is a lot of work to be do in terms of coding, actually implementing stuff in game, drawing art assets ( they are so many) and general game feel and balance. For now, development will be divided into areas of intrests.
Like Engine and Coding, Art and World, Game design and Balance and Story and Philosophy
As I am developing, I will hop from one side to another as per my interest at that time. This to ensure that i don't feel burn out from just working on one aspect and feeling dread, looking at other areas with too much work. So, for this year, early 2025 I won't be showing much as most work for now is done in design documentation (Yes, Really). Next Post onwards i will show progress on Map and Code.
For now, here are some inspirations for world of this game I choose. and also, absolutely feel free to ask any questions to me or shubham...

Post 0: Beginnings
Hello Everyone... This is a project that was in conception a really long time ago. So, it might take a very long time for this to finish. So, here are some preliminary Q&A for those who are curious.
- What is the concept of game?
It is a Breaking bad inspired game, set in Washington state with gameplay of Stardew Valley. It is a weird blend of both, that is really focused on player's actions and choices with reactive world. More detailed will be shown or can be asked.
- When can we expect it to finish?
Hard to tell, As I'm in my pre final year of under graduation (Placements and Projects Mess to deal with). Plus I really have a lot of ideas to implement with a lot of polish. My earliest estimations can be late 2027 to mid 2028 and can be as late as my funeral.
- So, Who or What Studio is making this
Just me. I will be doing Art, Story, Engine, Coding Etc... Like everything. Only thing I will ask for help / outsource will be Music (mostly OST) & Marketing and Publishing (Initial Release)
- What Engine is going to Built on? What tool do you use in this?
For Engine, I am using Monogame in .NET SDK 9.0. It really isn't a game engine like Unity or Godot, rather is a framework capable to make games. It will be harder to make a game in this than unity as you need to take care of everything from Rendering to Physics. Also, Programing language used is C#. For Art, I will be doing it in pixel art (Not exactly 16x16 nor is it 32x32... just a hybrid of two) in Pixi Editor and Tiled for map design. Other Aspects, I still need to decide.
- Do you have any Images or Concept art to share?
No. Mostly because, Things I made so far, are basic and temporary for now, and not worth showing. I will post updates here like every 2-3 months. New update post, I will be focusing on world map (Basic one with trees, buildings, Objects and collision.) and Window rendering (Creating and Drawing windows).
Note: Dev Log Structure: This dev log is being divided by year of development. So, for 2024, it is year 0. and for 2025 it will be year 1. Under each year you can find Pages with Post with page number. So, this way You can easily track latest update or progress.
- Where can we ask question?
For now on X (@jeevan_13706) or here in discussions. I will think about something like a discord server when the project is after alpha state.
