GW2 makes it possible to use the chat window not only for the purpose of texting. It also gives you the possibility to enter commands. Commands can be used for example to show wiki pages or triggering emotes.
Every command starts with a /. Examples:
/wiki et
/wiki wb
/party
/map
There are few that are useful on the exception of one godly command, one which you will find yourself using a regular basis. That command is /wiki. There are many ways of using this command, mainly to find what an item does and if it can be destroyed safely.
In order to do this simply type in your chat /wiki then followed by Alt + Left Mouse will result in your browser opening the Guild Wars 2 Wikipedia for the item you have searched.
