Fixes
- Fixed a very complex bug, which prevented lap or wear based tyre change decision, if tyres could be changed individually for each wheel, but a single tyre compound must be used for all wheels. This is especially the case for iRacing.
- Fixed a redraw problem on the Data tab in "Solo Center".
- Fixed selection of pitstop repair requests using controller actions for Le Mans Ultimate.
- Fixed several car names for Le Mans Ultimate, which are reported with incomplete names by the game and therefore had missing information like tyre data:

Changes
- The Driving Coach provides a new coaching mode, which is most helpful during a race. He will now praise you for a good lap, but will also blame you and call you back to focus, if you lose your pace. Additionally, he can give you advice where on the track you are losing time and what to change.
- Documentation has been added for the Driving Coach.
- A new voice command has been added to activate this mode.
- The motivation mode can also be activated from the tray menu of the "Simulator Controller" process.
- And of course, it is also available as controller action for your Stream Deck, Button Box or even your steering wheel.
- Lastly, it is available as selectable function for a Startup Profile.
- A new speech synthesis method is supported. Piper, which is in widespread use for home automation, can now be used to generate speech using a web server in your local network (or even on localhost). See the added documentation for more information.
- Sliders for Volume, Pitch and Speed will now be disabled in voice configuration, if the corresponding option is not supported by the chosen speech synthesis method.
- The car meta data for the latest version of RaceRoom Racing Experience has been included.
- A new article has been written for the News system.
- Added car meta data for the Ferrari 206 LMGT3 EVO, which was forgotten to be included and therefore had no tyre information.

The "Setup Workbench" offers a new tool. Using a GPT provider and a high end LLM, an integrated Setup Engineer can analyze complete telemetry data and create a detailed analysis and recommendations for setup changes based on this. See the new documentation for more information and instructions.
The idea of ββthe Setup Engineer had been on my mind for a long time, but it was only recently that LLMs became powerful enough to handle the vast amounts of data and mathematical calculations required for a robust analysis of telemetry data. The catch, however, is that you need one of the latest state-of-the-art models from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google β and those aren't exactly cheap. But the results are worth it, I promise.

A diary (log file) has been implemented for the "Setup Workbench". The diary folder can be configured in the settings of the "Setup Workbench".

It is no longer possible to close the settings dialog of the "Session Database", if there is an invalid configuration for a Team Server connection.

The "Session Database" provides a new inspector which gives you detailed information about the tyre wear per lap for each wheel in specific weather conditions. Depending on your settings, the number of usable laps per tyre will be calculated automatically. See the updated documentation for more information.

IBT files can now be opened directly from the telemetry select dialog.

Suspension information and the lap time is now included in telemetry data acquired by the Second Monitor provider.

Fixes
- A critical bug has been fixed in the synchronization process of the community database.
- The calculated suspension deflection has been fixed for telemtries recorded for RaceRoom Racing Experience and iRacing.

- A new suspension dynamics inspector is available when telemetry data is inspected in the "Setup Workbench". This inspector allows you to optimize the settings for low- and high-speed damping. See the new documentation for more information.
- The Driving Coach will try to load a track map at the beginning of each lap until success. This helps when the Coach is used on a track, that has neven been driven before.
- Many improvements for the telemetry system:
- The lap time of a recorded lap will now be displayed in the list of telemetries in the "Session Database", if available.
- The high resolution telemetry files implemented in the last release will now load much faster in the telemetry viewer.
- The IBT file importer for iRacing will now import suspension deflection information, if available.
- The Second Monitor importer and also the corresponding telemetry provider for the telemetry system will now import suspension deflection information, if available.
- [Internal] Handling of modal windows has been optimized so that always the window, which was on top before the modal window had been opened, will be on top again.

Fixes
- Fixed the optional acoustic feedback for handling problems in the issue analyzer of "Setup Workbench" for Project Motor Racing and F1 25/26.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the usage of the handling thresholds applied in the issue analyzer of "Setup Workbench" when the Drivng Coach is asked about handling problems for the same car / track combination.
- Fixed a bug introduced with the last release, which could prevent the transfer of issues detected by the telemetry-based issue analyzer to the working area of "Setup Workbench".
- Fixed a bug in the configuration tools, which prevented LLM instructions to be saved, which had been reverted to original. The previous instructions kept being active.
- Fixed a bug in "Simulator Setup", which caused the "Basic" configuration page to stay visible during initial configuration, independent of whatever other page has been selected.
Changes
- Changed settings are no longer saved in the issue analyzer in "Setup Workbench" when the dialog is cancelled and the analysis run is not started.
- The automatic detection of suspension bottom out events introduced with the last release has been finalized for all simulators, except Project Motor Racing (which does not supply nessecary data in the API).
- The mathematical model, which is used to detect bottom out events, is now fully customizeable in the issue analyzer of "Setup Workbench". See the added documentation for more information.
- The recommendations for bottom out issues have been changed and optimized in "Setup Workbench".
- The weighting of the spring stiffness has changed.
- Bumpstop rates will be taken into account, if available.
- Changes to heave suspension settings will be applied more aggressively.
- The internal telemetry file format has been extended with information about suspension travel. The importer for CSV files support the new information.
- The resolution of telemetry data have been increased 10-fold from roughly 200 ms per sample down to 20 ms (50 Hz). This allows very detailed analysis of fast channels like suspension movement. But this comes for a price, of course. The file size also increased 10-fold and the processing time, for example by the Driving Coach, increased by several seconds for each lap.
- Telemetry is now only recorded for valid laps in some simulators. This may change again with a future release, but for the time being it was necessary.
- The builtin telemetry viewer now offers five additional channels: Yaw rate and suspension deflection seperately for each wheel. Please note that Automobilista 2 does not provide deflection, but remaining travel in the data. Therefore, this value is used with a reversed sign and will typically show negative values in the graphs. For all other simulators, deflection will show as positive values.
- The offline issue analysis, which uses telemetry files, can also detect suspension issues with all files generated with this release or later. However, because the sampling frequency for telemetry data is somewhat lower than that used by the live issue analyzer, some or even all bottom out events may be missed by the detection method.
- The synchronization of the session database can now detect corrupt or invalid data objects and will skip them automatically.
- New tracks of Le Mans Ultimate are included.

- Fixed a startup crash in "Strategy Workbench", when community tyre wear data is used.

- The real time issue analyzer in "Setup Workbench" can now detect suspension related issues like bottoming out.

- [Important] The default value for the setting "Data: Update Frequency" has been reduced from 10 to 4 seconds. Reducing the data update frequency will increase the responsiveness of the Assistants. The change reflects the fact, that most users of Simulator Controller are now on the latest generation of gaming PCs. But if you are not that lucky and encounter problems, for example stutter or stalled Assistants, increase the value again in the "Session Database".

- [Experts] A new filter script allows you to post process the answers generated by LLMs and remove any unwanted text or other elements from the answer. See the added documentation for more information.
- [Experts] The local LLM Runtime, which can be installed from a downloadable preset in "Simulator Setup", has been completely rewritten.

It now supports tool/function calling, which is required to run actions in the Conversation booster or even to use it for the Reasoning booster. The LLM Runtime therefore now provides the same functionality as running a LLM in Ollama locally, but with a much better resource footprint and even some minor performance improvements. See the updated documentation for more information.
A good model for successful experiments with local model execution incl. tool calling (actions) might be Google Gemma 3 with 27B parameters in minimum Q4_K_M quantization (Q6_K or higher will be much better, of course, if your system can handle it). Can be found on Hugging Face, for example. Requires at least a machine with 64 GB Ram and 16 GB VRam. Even then the model needs to be run partially on CPU.
Important: The old version of the LLM Runtime is no longer compatible with the other components of Simulator Controller. Therefore, if you are using the local runtime, please follow the instructions in the Update Notes.

Changed the process priority of the local LLM Runtime to BelowNormal, so that it can be run alongside the running simulator on the CPU without causing stutter in most cases.

New settings for fine-tuning LLM processing, especially by the LLM Runtime, have been added to the core settings.

Multiple instances of the LLM Runtime are now supported, although it is more a hypothetical case running multiple LLMs on the same machine at the same time.

Booster that are using the same model in the LLM Runtime will share the same backend process, thereby saving memory. However, this is only possible, when the LLM Runtimes have been configured for the same process.

Instances of LLM Runtime will be killed automatically when the owning process of Simulator Controller terminates.

Fixes
- The driver names for rFactor 2, which had been broken since Release 7.0.2, had been fixed. Driver names had shown sometimes as "System.Byte[]", which now should not happen again.
- Fixed several bugs, which could cause the Assistants to miss the session start in F1 25/26.
Changes
- API integration for F1 25 has been updated, so that the new tracks and driver names of the 2026 season DLC are recognized. The integration now supports the UDP protocol 2025 as well as the new 2026 protocol.
- All fuel related input fields has been optimized in "Strategy Workbench", so that fractional units and the up/down control are handled more intuitively.
- Suspension related issues (swaying, bottoming out) have been added to the "Setup Workbench". Currently only available when selecting the issue manually, but telemetry based anylysis will be added in one of the next releases.

- With the help of @Samat Gimadeev, full support for the Russian language has been added.
- The UI has been fully translated, incl. all help texts for the setup and configuration tool "Simulator Setup".
- Russian language can be used to communicate with the Assistants.
- The command reference sheets are available for the Russian language. See the reference sheet for the Race Engineer, for example.
- Support for Yandex cloud services (speech synthesis and recognition as well as GPT services) already has been added in one of the last releases.
- Lap time and sector times for invalid laps will now be grayed out in the lap data lists of "Solo Center" and "Team Center".
- The setting "Data: Driver name pattern" introduced with the last release will now also support regular expressions with named subpatterns.
- A customizeable pattern based filter has now been implemented for car names as well. In some simulators more than just the name of the car model is returned as the name of the car. In rFactor 2, for example, the car name can contains the race number, the car model, the team name and other information. Using this setting, you can supply a regular expression, which parses the given car name string into the optional parts nr, model and class, category and team. Please see the new setting "Data: Car name pattern" for more information.
- Added a new setting "Whisper.Options" to the core settings. This setting let you pass additional arguments to Whisper. For example, if you want to run Whisper on a specific GPU, use "Whisper.Options=--cuda:2". If you are running a "Whisper Server", please take a look at the Update Notes, because the server needs an update.

- A customizeable pattern based filter has been implemented for driver names. Some leagues (for example LFM for Assetto Corsa) code additional information like the race number into the driver name in the entry list. Please see the new setting "Data: Driver name pattern" for more information.
- The "Generic" GPT service connector now also supports Service URLs, that do not follow the OpenAI naming scheme.
- [Internal] Added a bunch of debugging code to hunt down an occasional premature session end in LMU team races. Looks like the API is reporting weird state information in the moment of a driver swap. The debug code can be switched on using the "LogSimlator" setting in the core settings.

Fixes
- Fixed the handling of brake balance values in the laps data stored in the session database. Due to an internal error when running team races under control of the Team Server, wrong values could have end up in the database. An automatic correction has been implemented which will run automatically during update. Depending on the amount of data in your database, this can take a while.
- Fixed several rare, but critical bugs for the Driving Coach, which caused the track sections to be mixed up, thereby generating wrong instructions for the next corner.
Changes
- Lap time reporting by the Spotter is now suppressed for a few laps for cars that have been in the pit.
- The Driving Coach now uses only valid laps for reference laps.
- The Driving Coach can now automatically use telemetry data from the community database, if they have been recorded for faster laps than your own ones. This is Off by default. Please take a look at the setting "Load reference lap from database" in the "Session Database".
- Extended corner performance analytics by the Driving Coach, thus enabling current high end LLMs like GPT 5.5 to give a lot more detailed instructions while coaching on the track.

Changes
- The storage and synchronization process of the community database has changed. The new process will be used at the very first next synchronization.
- [Important] Tyre wear data can now be shared in the community database. The consent dialog will be shown automatically the next time you use one of the applications of Simulator Controller. If you share your tyre wear data, you will be rewarded with tyre wear data of all other community members, of course.
- A new setting "Data: Use tyre wear data from community" in the "Session Database" lets you choose, whether you want to use the wear data of the community beside your own collected data for any tyre wear related decisions (for example see next item).
- The Engineer can now decide based on tyre wear data or a specified number of usable laps, which will be the best tyre compound mixture when changing tyres for the next stint.
- A new setting "Pitstop: Choose Compound Mixture" in the "Session Database" allows you to enable this decision for the Engineer (it is disabled by default).
- [Important] The definition of the setting "Pitstop: Minimum tyre tread depth" in the "Session Database" has changed. It can now be either a single percentage value (as before) or a descriptor for all available tyre compounds. See the explanation of tyre compound life for more information.
- The decision for a specific tyre compound mixture will either be taken based on the configured number of laps usable for a compound mixture (setting "Pitstop: Tyre Compound Usage" in the "Session Database") or by the tyre wear (see above), if this information is available in the simulator API. You can choose between the different methods using the setting "Pitstop: Change Tyres" in the "Session Database".
- The max. tyre wear for all available tyre compounds will also be passed to the Reasoning booster for the synthetical "Pitstop Planning" event for pitstop planning by the LLM, if enabled.
- More details can be found in the extended documentation for the Race Engineer and for tyre compound handling in general.
- In preparation for the upcoming support for the Russian language, Yandex can be used now for speech recognition. See the added documentation for more information.
- And support for using GPT services from Yandex has been added to the Driving Coach and the Assistant boosters.

Pitstops of all cars are no longer registered during the first few laps for two reasons:
- Some sims report a car being in the pit during the initial grid formation, if that car has not entered the grid formation yet.
- A car which pits so early (for examople for repairs), will have no benefit later in the race at all. So the pitstop does not count for strategy decisions.

The Engineer will now avoid tyre configurations with a too high difference in tyre wear, when only some of the tyres have to be swapped at a pitstop.
- Two new settings "Max. tyre wear difference (axle)" and "Max. tyre wear difference (front/rear)" have been integrated in the "Session Database", which let you specify the maximum imbalance in tyre wear you are willing to accept (with a default of 30%).

The rule engine supports a new call method for external functions, which does not pass the special first argument to this function. Using this method which is available for actions in production rules and also for predicates in reduction rules, any global function in the host programming language can be called.

External functions called by the rule engine can now return values of any type supported by the rule engine. See the extended documentation for more information.

External functions called by the rule engine can now actually be methods identified by a qualified name like Singleton.Instance.myMethod, as long as the name before the first dot identifies a valid object or class in the global name space.

[Important] The behavior of the ProveAll action has changed in a way, which can brake current production rules that use the ProveAll action. You can now use ProveAll to create powerful loops in the action part of a reduction rule. Please see the updated documentation for more information.

- Fixed a bug for Le Mans Ultimate in mixed weather conditions, which caused the Spotter to announce the wrong weather at the sessions start when the last weather node of the session had a different weather than the second to last weather node.

- No more short stutter at the start of a session, because the data which was acquired using several HTTP requests against the REST/JSON API of Le Mans Ultimate is now available in the shared memory.

- A bug has been fixed in the Reasoning booster configuration used in "Simulator Configuration", that could cause the booster to be partially active, after it had been disabled by the user in the configuration.
- Fixed a bug in the handling of the voice drop down in "Simulator Setup". This bug caused the menu to jump back to "Random", if only one voice was available for the selected speech synthesizer method.
- Fixed some internal problems related to extracting ZIP archives, which could lead to failure of downloading the community database. Side effect: Big performance improvements in some areas. See also the changes section below.
