Everything is connected universally, but this page will focus on everything being connected in value networks. And in particular, in an NRP (valuenetwork software) system.

Some people do not seem to understand why this system is designed the way it is. It is designed to connect everything that needs to be connected in value networks. "Needs to be connected" is defined by the needs of the networks that use the software, so your breakfast probably does not to be connected.

A Resource is connected to the Economic Events that created or changed or used or consumed or bought or sold it.

Those Economic Events may be connected to production Processes or Exchange interactions. Those Processes may be connected to Work events which are connected to the Economic Agents that did the work. The Exchanges may be connected to Cash Receipt events that are connected to Agents that paid for some Resources. The Cash Receipt events may be connected to an income distribution following a Value Equation that distributed some of the income to each of the contributors who participated in any way in creating the Resource that was paid for.

These connections may span across more than one network.

The Resources may be connected to Resource Types. The Resource Types may be connected to Offers and Wants. The Wants and the Offers may be potentially connected, where one Agent offers a Resource Type that another Agent wants, or they may become actually connected by Commitments and Resource Flows.

Resource Types may be connected to Process Types and other Resource Types via Recipes. If one Agent wants to create a Resource that has a Recipe, they will need all of the inputs to the Recipe. Those inputs may be connected to sources that offer those Resource Types. Then they may become connected to Purchase Orders, and then to Receipts (Economic Events), and then to Payments (Economic Events). Those Payments may have come from contributors who may be compensated by the income derived from creating the Resource from the Recipe, and the income will be distributed back upstream to the contributors, who are all connected by Processes and Economic Events.

How are all of these connections connected? By means of a model that connects everything.

It took a lot of work by a lot of people since about 1980 to design this model. And we are still working on it. The model is going into a new stage of design and development here.
