Project

A Project is the container for an effort that is being planned and managed in CORD Field. It tracks the Timeframe (MOU Start and End Dates), Budget, Team, Partners, and Engagements. The Project also holds any Files, Posts, and Reports related to the Project.

A Project consists of one or more Engagements, the overlap between a Project and a Language or Person. A Project with more than one Engagement is often referenced as a Cluster (Translation) or Cohort (Internship) Project.

There are two Types of Projects, Translation and Internship.

Translation Project

Translation Projects manage the work of translating the Bible into one or more Languages. These Projects are made up of one or more Language Engagements. The Language Engagement identifies a Language is in a Project, and tracks the goals & progress for that Language within a given Project.

Internship Project

Internship Projects manage the work of equipping a Person to work more effectively in Bible Translation. These Projects are made up of one or more Intern Engagements. The Intern Engagement identifies a Person is in a Project, and tracks the goals & progress for that Person within a given Project.

Languages will track existing Scripture and Long-Term Scripture Goals. Languages are linked to a Project via a Language Engagement.

Person

A Person is used to identify a particular Individual. The primary use of People is to track the Team Members on a Project, or the Interns we are have and are working with. People are linked to a Project as an Intern via the Intern Engagement.
