This page contains todo items for the project:
- Test the Y axis homing Hall effect switch integration with LinuxCNC
Jim and Scott got this working 8/18/2019 using the simple circuit Chris worked out with a pull-up resistor to 5V. It is currently just bread-boarded.
-
Continue to work on wiring for the encoders, homing, motors. All done except additional I/O
-
Continue to work on wiring for other I/O.
-
Do we have a contactor for the vacuum pump?
-
Implement an estop
-
Implement a reliable 24VDC supply for the limits and estop
-
Clean up all wiring
-
Square up gantry bearings
-
Measure gantry squareness and adjust
-
Implement a more permanent air supply to the Z axis.
-
Implement a more permanent dust collection hook up.
-
Get the encoder pulses per inch tuning figured out for all axes, the info Chris sent will help with that
-
Measure the current draw of the pneumatic brake solenoid to see if we can drive it directly from the 7i37TA with a flyback diode or if we need a relay: 24mA. We can drive it directly and that is done.
-
Integrate the 48V power supply to the motor controllers
-
Measure max velocity of the Y axis @ 48 V. I am thinking take a video of it with a tape measure in the shot and we can count video frames: ~1550 IPM
-
Investigate the best path forward for gantry configuration that will eventually integrate with PathPilot. We are moving forward with LinuxCNC 2.8
-
Finish spoil boards and install them
