Reporting Procedure

  1. Create an issue that includes as much information as possible. What component is having the issue (i.e., Windows app, Mac app, etc.), the operating system, the reproduction steps, etc.
  2. When the issue has been resolved, please report back to let us know so we can't stop investigation on our side.

Report: Information To Include

  1. Are you able to reproduce the issue? The easiest way to get an issue fixed is to be able to reproduce it. If you are able to reproduce your users' issue, please include the reproduction steps.

Presenter Apps

1. Is the user using the latest presenter app?

If not, ask the user to upgrade to the latest version of the presenter app and see if the issue persists.

1. How do I block auto-update of the presenter app?

Block the following URLs using your firewall:

Mac: https://api.screenleap.com/native/mac/version
Windows: https://api.screenleap.com/share/win/version

2. Does the presenter auto-update itself if installed using the MSI installer?

No, the presenter app will not auto-update itself if installed using the MSI installer. It must be updated manually by using a newer MSI installer.

3. How do I disable auto-update when the presenter app is installed using the regular (non-MSI) installer?

You can disable auto-update by setting "enabled" in "HKEY_CLASS_ROOT\Software\ScreenShare\autoUpdate" to "false".
