How can I get the DuckieTV app? - SchizoDuckie/DuckieTV GitHub Wiki
The DuckieTV App can be installed on a variety of platforms.
Currently available as Stand-Alone binaries for:
Windows (Windows 10, 11),
Linux (Debian, Ubuntu 15.10 and newer),
Mac OSX (10.15 and newer),
as a Chrome Browser Extension.
Install DuckieTV Nightly Standalone
As of v0.81, DuckieTV is available as a standalone build (no Chrome Browser required).
Notes:
- Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Android are no longer supported.
- If the standalone Dtv does not start on your Ubuntu21 or Lubuntu21 OS then please read this.
- Standalone Dtv does not work on CentOS/RedHat OS.
- If you are installing an updated DuckieTV on on a Mac then remember to first go to your Applications folder and drag the DuckieTV app to the bin before running the installer. The Mac installer has a quirk where it silently fails to update if the old DuckieTV is present in the Applications folder ;-)
Install DuckieTV Nightly For Chrome Browser
DuckieTV for the Chrome Browser comes in two versions: One that installs itself as your browser's "new tab" page, and one that just provides an easily accessible button to the right of the address bar to open DuckieTV.
Currently the only way to install Dtv as Chrome extensions is via the browser extensions Development mode page.
See Installing DuckieTV Nightly Chrome Browser Extensions for details.
