Welcome to the OpenAccess_EPUB wiki!

OpenAccess_EPUB endeavors to support conversion of OpenAccess academic journalism into ePub e-books. This format has the capacity to support greater accessibility for those with reading disabilities, can be a more comfortable reading alternative to PDFs, and readily support hypertextual elements.

The software is currently being developed for Frontiers and PLoS. I prototyped the code using PLoS articles; an old but fairly functional version can be found in the project's Downloads section. I recently began a major re-work of the program to make it far more modular and sustainable for any number of publishers. I am currently working hard on the project to ensure that it can be easily utilized by non-programmers, as well as providing support for Frontiers and PLoS.
