Meeting 1: Prioritizing Needs and Defining Projects
- When: Late September/Early October
- Duration: 75-90 min
- Participants: Open to any interested persons.
- Goal: Refine the list of hard matter SAS data analysis needs currently missing from SasView, and prioritize based on contributor skills and interests. The ultimate aim is to create a few projects to be “shovel ready” by the time of the contributor camp. Here is a DRAFT Roadmap we can work on.
Agenda:
- Brief overview of the SasView project (5 min)
- Brief overview of current functionality from the Hard Matter perspective (5 min)
- Short presentations (1 or 2 slides) from members of the community to present their analysis needs (3 min @)
- Status of data and plot refactoring projects (8 min)
- Presentation of the current list of needs identified from 2 workshops and numerous discussions. (5 min)
- Questions and clarifications (8 min)
- Discussion:(up to 10-40 min)
- What is missing from the master chart of needs?
- Which areas of of most interest to the participants/contributors
- Where can we get the “biggest bang for the buck”
- Who can work on what?
- Output: Prioritized list of targets with outline of how to approach
Meeting 2 (if needed): Final Shovel Ready Project Definition & Contributor Camp Prep
- When: Mid to late October
- Duration: 60-75 min
- Goal: Finalize the set of contributor-ready projects and confirm team roles and responsibilities for the Contributor Camp.
Agenda:
- Review and refine draft project plans
- Assign leads/mentors for each project
- Discuss any supporting docs (specs, examples, mockups)
- Output: 1–3 scoped and documented projects posted to the SasView project board and ready for the Contributor Camp. Contributor onboarding materials
