Steps to login to the Instance if SSH(Public/Private) keys are lost and Password authentication is not set.

There are 2 solutions to address the instance login issue:

  1. If the problematic instance (Instance 1) is in the same subnet (part of same VCN) as another healthy instance (Instance 2), then we can use the healthy instance to reach the problematic instance.

  2. If problematic instance is not connected to any other instance, we need to use the Cloud Shell feature.

Note:- The recommended solution is to use the Cloud Shell feature

1. Using Cloud Shell feature to connect to the problematic instance.

Login to Instance and click on Cloud Shell

  1. Navigate to Burger Menu --> Compute --> Instances --> Select the Instance --> Click on Cloud Shell
