Key Takeaways

At the risk of sounding like I didn't read any of the VS Code reading material, I believe the main thing I'm taking away from the reading was that VS Code is a very well developed piece of software with very many user friendly functions(despite how non user-friendly scripting is). (i.e. Remote SSH, built-in terminal, language specific debugging)

GitHub is seemingly less user-friendly (at least at the moment), but it also has a lot of very useful functions and semi-easily allows you to retain, edit, and publish your scripts. Social media for nerds, if you will. I do very much like the function of downloading, and editing repos onto machines, and uploading them back to GitHub.

Conclusion

This software, and website are going to be a integral part of the course(I assume anyway). Being able to effectively write(using VS Code), and share/publish code (GitHub) will help me succeed in this class while performing script writing. It will also be a great asset when it comes to being an able cybersecurity professional in the future.
