Program Layout - SafetyFlux/captchalogue GitHub Wiki

The first step to understanding how this program works is by knowing the layout. This simulator has two layouts: one for a single card, and the other for an alchemy setup. Let's start with the default layout.

Main Layout

The most noticeable feature of the program is the captcha card in the middle. This might look different depending on the selected theme). On the card are 48 holes which can be toggled on or off (a.k.a. punched). These holes correspond to the code at the bottom of the screen (see Holes and Digits). The green button in the lower-right corner is the fill button and in the top right corner is the yellow randomize button (see Fill and Randomize Buttons). At the top of the window, there's a toolbar with dropdown menus labeled 'File', 'Themes', 'Options', and 'Help'.

If alchemy is enabled, then the program window will become wider, giving room for the new cards and buttons.

Two more cards and codes are now visible, as well as some cyan operation buttons. These extra cards allow for alchemization.
