Choosing a Career Path - Saborknight/portfolio GitHub Wiki
Note that the decisions in respect to my own career path were made years before attending University. This is easily evidenced by my past projects which were all related to my chosen career paths.
Web Development
One of my main career paths are distinctly recognisable when looking at my collection of work and number and level of skills. Web development has been at the core of the development of my skills since a young age. However, that's not what makes this career path the most beneficial for myself. Web development is a highly technical and relatively well sought after collection of skills. It is also a skillset which is always expandable, making it extremely attractive to me as I am a person who loves to constantly grow in skills and knowledge (Which also an attractive trait for employers).
Web development can also be done anywhere in the world, as long as there is a reliable internet connection. I am an extremely adventurous character. One of my favourite pastimes (finances and time providing) is to travel and explore. This type of lifestyle is a very mobile one, and one which is well complemented by the remote nature which web development can have.
I am extremely passionate about technology. How it is currently used today, as well as its potential uses in the future fascinate me and empower me to attempt to always find more effective and efficient ways of making life for humans easier or more entertaining. Web development career paths can lead through a large variety of roles and areas of technology. The skills in web development can be used in applications, robotics, infrastructure, science, etc. This non-limiting nature of web development show potential for making my life extremely interesting as it is likely that many of my future projects will be related to these different areas.
