Process Variables
In the plot process variables, the graphs show the temperature and total solvent and antisolvent mass profile, respectively.
In these plots the profiles set in the GUI in the field process settings are plotted. The temperature decreases linearly while the total mass is kept constant.
Concentration plot
There are two effects competing and influecing the concentration.
- growth rate: consumption of solute
- nucleation: production of solute
According to the plot, the effects of the growth rate are stronger. However, the drop in concentration is very small.
Supersaturation plot
The supersaturation increases linearly. The reason is the linear temperature decrease.
Operating system plot
In this plot the concentration is shown dependent on the temperature. Basically, the information from the concentration and supersaturation plot are respresented in one plot.
Since the temperature decreases linearly while the concentration only falls slightly, the final concentration only evolves in the supersaturated domain.
