Installation Instructions

1. Please uninstall any previous versions from the Control Panel, whether named ReNamer or Batch ReNamer.
2. Unzip this file into a permanent shared folder in a shared drive on your intranet. It should remain there forever.
3. Instruct your users to double-click BatchReNamer.application, OR give them an HTML link to the same, called "Install Batch ReNamer". Following these instructions and launching the .application file will create an icon on the desktop. It will create another icon on Start > All Programs > Ideal Security Inc > Batch ReNamer.
4. Launching from either icon will inquire about the application from the permanent location from step (2) above, but launch the actual application from inside the %appdata%..\local\apps\2.0.... folder. This is of no concern; what is significant is that you don't need administrator privileges to install or remove the application since it is stored within the user's own temp space.

To uninstall the application, locate it in the Control Panel and double-click the entry.

When updates are published, they should be placed into the same location as step (2).
