Can I connect to the ES using only one device?

A: Yes, you can connect to the ES using only one device. You can have access to both the trainer and trainee view, just use one window on your browser for each. For more info about this click here.

Do I need internet connection for using the ES?

A: No, you do not require internet connection. What you do need is a local network between all devices that are connecting to the simulation. To learn more about this click here.

After modifications in the database I still see no changes in the ES UI, what can I do?

A: If you did modifications in the database and you can't see in the UI, try hard reloading the browser - this will force all information to be downloaded again from the database.

I created a username and signed in as trainer. Now I want to use the same username for trainee, can I do that?

A: Yes, you can. Choose the username and select the desired role. If you are changing your role a message will ask if you want to confirm the change, click 'yes', and you're role will be changed to the desired option.

Is there any detailed documentation about the code or features?

A: Yes. In fact, there is a documentation section that provides links that covers all features in the UI, with some medical background and UI functionality as well as a source code documentation of the entire web-app. All this material can be found here.

Do I require any software programming knowledge to use the ES?

A: No, you do not. The ES usage requires no software programming knowledge or programming skills. All tools and features present on the application are thoroughly explained in this wiki and are easy to use. However, some general medical knowledge (e.g. about vital signs) does help with understanding the meaning of the simulations quicker.
