The Transfer phase begins when the producer receives an Authorization notice from the Archives with an Accession number. The main activities of this phase belong to the producer, who creates a Transfer package and uploads it to the Deposit folder or Deposit drive. For a description of these activities from the producer's point of view, see xxxx. On the Archives' side, the archivist creates a Project folder and provides advice / guidance on the creation of Transfer packages as needed. When deposit has been completed, the archivist makes a working copy of the Transfer package for analysis and validation.

Steps

  1. Create a project folder
  2. Advise on creation of transfer package
  3. Receive notice of deposit
  4. Copy transfer package to project folder

This phase begins after the archivist issues an Authorization notice to the producer with the Accession number for the transfer and a link to the Deposit folder (Pre-transfer, step 1.4).
