2D Hydrodynamic Blast Wave - SFG-CUHK/scorpio-test-cases GitHub Wiki
Follow the test case in Skinner & Ostriker (2010) and Gardiner & Stone (2008), we investigate a 2D circular shock wave with setting similar to Skinner & Ostriker (2010).

We increase the simulation resolution to from in Skinner & Ostriker (2010). In the initial conditions, the pressure of gas within radius is , while for the background gases and the density of the gas is uniformly in the whole domain. The hot gas inside the the region will result in a circular blast wave radiating outward. Below are the plots of the last snapshot calculated by Scorpio.

The result are comparable to Figure 5 & 6 in Skinner & Ostriker (2010).
