  • Zach - Research Faculty at Virginia Tech, marine corp history. Heavily involved in satcom research. Wants to observe clusters of GEO satellites and use interferometry and polarimetry to identify and monitor behavior of satellites. Interested in virtual environments and how to install GNU Radio. Has several Out of Tree modules which he wants to get pushed to Github (RabbitMQ, etc)
  • Duncan - DSP engineer, signal identification and classification. Recent work on using neural networks to bypass channelization for low SWaP systems for signal detection. Moving that to NPUs. Interested in learning and sharing cutting edge DSP processing techniques (Holoscan, etc)
  • Jonah - DSP and software engineering, ML and analytics, Interested in learning about public DSP and RF skills. Will be working on a webapp doing??
  • Daniel - Background in DSP in satellite communications and GNSS, experienced operator of the GNU Radio ATA backend. Has done polarimetry operations with the ATA. Has run GNU Radio tutorials for summer interns for the past four years.
  • Joel - Works at the ATA, creating ARISE education resources on SETI, radio astronomy, etc for community colleges and other educational institutions. Has created GUIs and systems for classrooms to use the ATA for live observations.
  • Libby - PostDoc at McGill. GNU Radio usage for satcom and radio astronomy. Interested in RFI
  • Alex - Engineering background running the ATA.
  • Matt - Interest in Radio Astronomy. Founded Ettus Research building SDRs (USRPS)
  • Dave - Breakthrough Listen backend point of contact, Worked on the ATA original correlator. Interested in the Julia language, SoapySDR package for Julia,
  • Derek - GNU Radio PI at SETI, here to support other projects. Will be working on setting up an OmniSIG
  • Wei - PostDoc at UC Berkeley working on CASPER, FPGA processing for Radio telescopes and radios. Current work replacing Simulink with GNU , has implemented 400 GigE and WhiteRabbit for CASPER.
