Overall Goals

Teachers

• Be able to post need for mentors as well as project specifications

• Create loose schedule to include time commitment needed and frequency

• Coordinate mentors with students

• Oversee online meetings

• Have a calendar to facilitate each student’s need/set up reminders

• Potential feedback form for mentor

Mentors

• Browse listings for mentoring opportunities
• Apply for opportunities
• Register for an account
• Interact with Hangout chat with student either as broadcast or private (yet to be determined).
• Calendar reminders, possibly syncing ability for ease of use

Students

• Limited access to allow more control from teacher.
• Hangout should be initiated by mentor only at given time, contact information should be limited between student/mentor (ie only when teacher is present).
• Should be able to access hangout session.

Platform: Webapp that connects into a pre-existing teacher website, furnished by the school. Must be done in C#, javascript, HTML5, SQL, Azure for sustainability of project. Must be compatible with IE 9+, and Chrome. Must be responsive across laptop, desktop and mobile.
