Background: Allison is a married mother of two, and a veteran elementary school teacher who is very familiar with what works in the classroom with students. She has been teaching for 20 years and enjoys her students. Allison is very active on the weekends often enjoying camping trips with her family. Allison is also an excellent bargin hunter valuing thrift and practicality throughout her life.

**Computer Background:**Allison is a casual computer user and is very familiar with more established technologies. She is most familiar in using her computer for inputting grades, sending email, word processing, and checking Facebook. Beyond these activities she really doesn't use a computer too often.

Reporting: Allison uses the computer to input her grades and track student progress. She is not particularly strong in troubleshooting IT issues. It isn't that Allison doesn't believe in adaptation (she's used a lot of techniques over the years), but she is skeptical about the new program, believing it could cause more headache than good. Allison in particular wants to be able to learn the program quickly, and never feel lost in the interface. She also wants to be able to monitor her students activities to make sure they stay on track, and she insists on maintaining communication with all the registered mentors to make sure they are also doing what they are supposed to do.

Goal: Allison's goal is to be able to use this new software in a creative and helpful way for her instruction. She is hoping that it is easy to use, and not something else to add to her list of chores in her workday. At the end of the day, Allison is satisfied if she can maintain the same level of control in the app as in the classroom and see excitement and enthusiasm in her students as they explore their interests.
