Michael is the operator of a very successful local casual dining restaurant. He has been running his restaurant for close to 30 years, and despite being nearly 65 years old, he swears he will never retire. He has a business major from a 4 year university. Michael is is married with three adult children, one of which works at the restaurant with him.

Michael has never been very good with technology. Although he has a smartphone, he rarely uses it for anything other than checking email. He has a PC at home, but he doesn't use it very much.

Traditionally, Michael's restaurant has used a laminated piece of paper and erasable markers to keep track of what tables are currently occupied, and a simple notebook for reservations. Recently, some of his colleagues showed him some software that they were using in their restaurants, and he liked the idea of trying out some software for himself. He especially likes the idea of being able to keep track of the productivity of his waitstaff in order to keep margins up.

GOALS: To increase productivity and profitability by monitoring statistics and trends for tables being served
