How to add your image to the Icons app

  1. Launch Icons.
  2. Drag the image or the application, you want to create an icon from, into the Icons application and drop it. You should see the following window:
  1. Now you can start customizing the icon to your liking.

How to add and customize an icon banner

To add a banner to your icon, click the text box and enter a text. In the preview window on the left, the banner will be displayed automatically.

You have the following customization options:

  • Position: Choose from 6 different banner positions.
  • Margin: Adjust the text size.
  • Font: Select a font.
  • Banner Color: Choose a banner color.
  • Text Color: Choose a text color.

If you want to save a banner for future use, click on Save Banner. The saved banner then appears in the Saved Banner section.

To remove a saved banner, simply right-click the banner you want to delete and select Remove.

How to add an Overlay Image to your Icon

  1. Go to File > Add Overlay Image. A new Finder window should open.
  2. Select the image you want to add as Overlay Image and click Open. You should see the following window:
  1. You can move the Overlay Image by clicking and dragging it to the desired position. To adjust the Overlay Image Size, use the slider at the bottom right of the window.

Customize the Uninstall icon

To customize the Uninstall icon, click on Uninstall at the top of the window. You should see the following window:

In this window, you can adjust the Animation Duration as well as the Image Size.

How to Save an Icon Set

Once you've customized the icon to your liking, click on Save Icon Set at the bottom right of the window. You should see the following window:

In this window, you can select which Icons should be generated and where they are saved. Additionally, you can select the Output size. You can choose between the following sizes:

  • 64 x 64
  • 128 x 128
  • 256 x 256
  • 512 x 512
  • 1024 x 1024

Click Save to save the Icon set. A folder containing the icons will be created.

Creating an icon set using Quick Action

If you want to create an icon set quickly, you can use the Quick Actions feature. Simply right-click your image > Quick Actions > Make Icon Set.

If you don't have the option Make Icon Set, follow the seps below:

  1. Right-click your image.
  2. Choose Quick Actions > Customize.
  3. Enable Make Icon Set.
  4. Now you should be able to create an icon set using Quick Actions.
