General Data Editor - S9-L/FMWSaveManager GitHub Wiki
Overview
The General Data Editor lets you modify save information that affects playthrough progression data. Chapter Select, Route switching, and changing the NG+ count are a few of the powerful actions you can do with this editor. You will have fine-grained control over when and how your save should be continued during any point in the game's story.

Route
You can change the current Route for the save. For the main story Routes (Reimu and Marisa), you can freely swap between the two. However, for the Sakuya and Mehko Routes, this option will be grayed out and cannot be changed. This is to prevent crashes from bringing unsupported chapter metadata from one Side Route to another Route.
This option is linked to the Chapter Select function; changing the Route will update the last played chapter to the equivalent Route-specific chapter, if it exists in the chapter JSON database.
Difficulty
Change the game's difficulty outside of the in-game menu option.
Chapter
[!NOTE] The number displayed in the UI is the last completed chapter number. When you load your save, you will start on the chapter following this chapter number registered in the save. Keep this in mind when you want to jump to a specific chapter.
This is the Chapter Select feature that lets you access almost any existing chapter in the game (including the Dream Again chapters if you load in a main story save on either Reimu or Marisa Route). Input your desired chapter, and the next time the save is loaded, the game will update the current chapter to the new one. The Chapter ID and Name UI elements are helper features that display the corresponding internal ID and chapter name of the chapter number in the text box.
[!NOTE] Changing the Route or Chapter will re-initialize the Intermission; this is required to reset the deployment slots and cost calculation of all units in the roster. This means any start of Intermission events, like obtaining items, units, etc., will play out again.
This option is linked to the SC_BROUTE flag in the Event Flags editor. This flag indicates if the save is currently playing on the B Route. Once this flag is enabled, the Chapter Select will update to include the Route B chapters for selection. Conversely, if you disable the flag, then the Chapter Select will return to the standard Route A chapters for selection.
[!WARNING] Jumping to a later chapter may add new characters to your roster according to the internal availability file
Data_IsIN. These newly initialized characters will be autoleveled depending on the new chapter number; be wary of these changes when you use the Chapter Select.
[!CAUTION] If you jump to the Route B chapters on a NG0 (First Playthrough) save on vanilla, the game will crash on certain chapter events because Makura/Mehko are not normally intialized on a NG0 save. You will need to play on modded versions that support the Route B flag bypass on NG0 to properly initialize Makura/Mehko and play Route B to completion.
Turns Taken
Modify the total number of turns you've taken on all chapter maps so far.
NG+
Change the number of New Game Plus playthroughs registered in the save file. This user control basically lets you mark a save file as a first playthrough (NG+ count = 0) or a NG+ PLaythrough (NG+ count > 0). If you are playing on a NG+ save, the game does some under the hood routines for newly added characters to inherit "carryover PP" from earlier playthroughs. This may affect certain PP distributions if you modify a save that was initially at NG+ count = 0; watch out for this.

Misc. Info
Game Overs
[!IMPORTANT] Game Over tracking is always disabled in vanilla, as the Game Over counter is always reset to 0 after a chapter loss returns you to the chapter deployment screen.
Set the number of Game Overs that have occurred on all chapter maps so far.
Army Name
Set the Army Name that is referenced in various cutscenes throughout later portions of the game.
[!IMPORTANT] The game will overwrite any currently set Army Name during the post-Chapter 70 Army Name cutscene on vanilla with the default "Fantasy Maiden Wars" Army Name. To account for this, you will need to change the Army Name again on a save file that is saved past this cutscene to keep your desired custom Army Name.
On modded versions supporting Army Name editing, this is not an issue as the Army Name input prompt is restored to allow custom input.
