DESCRIPTION: A robot is a machine that is designed to perform a variety of tasks automatically. There are as many different types of robots as there are tasks for them to perform. The bot that we are preparing will help the priest to perform yagnas. Robots are typically composed of mechanical and electronic components, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:

  • MECHANISM: The Scott Russell mechanism is a device that is used to convert rotatary motion into linear motion, or vice versa. It consists of a link that is connected at one end to a rotating input shaft and at other end to a sliding output block. As the input shaft rotates, the coupling rod moves back and forth in a straight path as well. The above mechanism is used to place wood in the yagna kundala. To pour ghee we will be using rotator mechanism.

DESCRIPTION:

THE POOJARI BOT IS SUCH A BOT THAT CAN PERFORM POOJA AND ALSO PROVIDE A HELPING HAND DURING ANY RITUAL. IN THIS BOT WE HAVE ADAPTED THE FUNCTION FOR ASSISTING THE PRIEST IN YAGNA, LIKE PICKING THE WOOD PIECES/COW-DUNG CAKES AND PLACING IT THE KUNDALA, POURING GHEE INTO THE KUNDALA.

ONE POTENTIAL USE FOR A ROBOT THAT CAN ASSIST A PRIEST IN HIS RITUALS COULD BE TO HELP WITH TASKS THAT ARE PHYSICALLY DEMANDING, REPETITIVE,OR TIME-CONSUMING, SUCH AS HANDLING THE OBJECTS, PERFORMING GESTURES, OR RECITING PRAYERS. THIS COULD ALLOW THE PRIEST TO FOCUS ON THE SPIRITUAL AND SYMBOLIC ASPECTS OF THE RITUAL, RATHER THAN ON THE PHYSICAL TASKS INVOLVED.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:

THERE ARE VARIOUS MECHANISMS THAT CAN BE ADOPTED TO BUILD A FULL FUNCTIONING ROBOT. IN THIS MODULE I WOULD PREFER THE CRANK AND SLOTTED LEVER MECHANISM AS SHOWN IN THE GIF.

THIS MECHANISM WILL BE USING AN ACTUATOR AT THE CENTER WHERE YOU CAN OBSERVE THE SMALL LINK i.e THE CRANK IS ROTATING WHICH WILL MAKE THE OTHER LINKS PRESENT TO ROTATE. THE RAM THAT IS MOVING IN TO AND FRO MOTION ABOUT IT'S MEAN POSITION WILL HELP TO PUSH THE WOOD PIECES/THE COW-DUNG PLACED IN A UPSIDE DOWN CONTAINER THAT IS OPEN AT THE BOTTOM (AS DISPLAYED IN THE DESIGN).

1.CRANK : IT IS A RIGID BAR THAT PIVOTS AROUND A FIXED POINT. THIS IS USED TO TRANSMIT THE MOTION.

2.ACTUATOR : THIS IS USED TO PIVOT THE CRANK AROUND THE FIXED LINK.

3.FIXED LINK : THIS IS FIXED STAND WHERE THE CRANK IS SUPPORTED THAT IS CONNECTED TO AN ACTUATOR.

4.RAM : ONCE THE MOTION IS TRANSFERRED FROM THE CRANK TO THE COUPLER AND THEN TO THE RAM, THIS HELPS IN PUSHING THE MATERIAL INTO THE KUNKALA.

5.FRAME : THIS IS THE STRUCTURE THAT SUPPORTS AND ENCLOSES THE OTHER COMPONENTS OF THE MECHANISM. THE FRAME OR HOUSING HELPS KEEP THE COMPONENTS IN PLACE AND PROTECT THEM FROM DAMAGE.

What is a Conveyor Belt System? Conveyor systems are mechanical structures that transport material from one location to another. It consists of drive mechanisms such as motors to move a transport material, commonly a belt. The material is carried by the belt and follows the belt movement to move to the target location. Additional components can include chains, rollers, pulleys, and wheels.

Rotator mechanism

Rotatary mechanisms helps the rotational movement. In the present we would be using the rotational mechanism for the movement of the material( cowdung, grass) into the kundala.

The Poojari bot which is usually help to perform the yajna.Picking of woods, pouring ghee,chanting mantras, which reduce the work of the priest.Bot is semi-automatic,user friendly.It is an automatically operated machine that replaces human effort.

Working Principle

Mechanism:

A Conveyer system consists of 2/more pulleys.It is used here to allow wood rapidly through this process and which was directly driven into yajna kundala. Conveyer belts are more versatile and it can be also used for dry, wet,sticky wood material.Many other functions can be performed with basic conveying like picking and sampling etc.By giving command wood moves on belt one by one from the satck and dispense it to kundala.It can be adopted for special purposes etc.For pouring the ghee rotater shaft mechanism is used.
