Alternative for acrylic sheet are:

  2. Natural materials: Depending on the application, natural materials such as wood, bamboo, or cotton can be used as an alternative to acrylic sheets. These materials have a lower embodied energy and are biodegradable or compostable at the end of their life.

Alternatives for nylon rods are:

1)Bio-based plastics: Bio-based plastics, such as PLA (polylactic acid) or PHA (polyhydroxy alkenoates),are made from renewable resources like corn starch or sugar cane. These materials have lower embodied energy than nylon because they are made from renewable resources. Bio based plastics can have similar properties to nylon, such as strength and durability.

2)Recycled plastics: Recycled plastics, such as PET(polyethylene terephthalate)or HDPE(High-density polyethylene),are made from post-consumer or post-industrial waste. These materials have materials have a lower embodied energy than nylon because they are made from recycled materials. Recycled plastics can be used to make a wide range of products, including rods.

3)Metal: Depending on the application, metal rods can be used as an alternative to nylon rods. Metals like aluminum or steel have a higher embodied energy than nylon, but they are also more durable and can be recycled at the end of their life.

Alternative for aluminum c channel:
