I can make the gear lights go amber!?

Yes, technically this is entirely possible! Each of the three gear indicators on a Bravo consists of a red LED and a separate green LED, and those LEDs can be controlled independently. Turn on one at a time and you'll get red or green; turn on both at the same time and you'll get a yellowy amber colour.

BUT...

I don't know whether Honeycomb officially supports this. The software that Honeycomb themselves ship with the Bravo does allow both red and green LEDs to be lit at the same time but they don't ship any standard configuration that does it (or indeed any documentation for their configuration).

It is entirely possible that the electronics inside the Bravo have been designed in such a way that lighting both red and green at the same time could damage those LEDs or damage another part of the Bravo. I have enough training in electronics to know that this is unlikely but quite possible, so I have to warn you. I haven't taken a Bravo apart to check, and even if I had, yours might be different, so please be warned that it may possibly be a bad thing to do.

If, somehow, you're confident that it's safe and it's something you want to do, go for it, but I cannot accept any responsibility for damage or injury!
