Rokoko Studio - Maya Demo Project

Rokoko Studio is a powerful and intuitive software for recording, visualizing and exporting motion capture.

This Demo project let's you start up a scene with a character already set up for Rokoko Studio live streaming for you to test out and learn how the Rokoko Studio Live works.


Requirements

  • Maya 2020 or higher
  • Rokoko Studio 1.18.0b

Featured in this demo project

  • A charecter set up for body, finger and face data streaming from Rokoko Studio
  • Virtual camera setup
  • Props ready to add to your tracker inside Rokoko Studio

Demo scene:

  • Mime character with mapped face shapes and proxy HIK character, mapped to Ryan actor.
  • A single camera nested in an empty group, mapped to Camera-1 prop.

Gloves scene:

  • Character with only hands geometry and proxy HIK character, mapped to Ryan actor.

NOTE: Proxy character is the one which receives live stream.

Steps to live stream gloves

Step 1. Prepare gloves mesh

Gloves is normal character with valid skeleton. Which needs to have HIK characterization.

Including fingers

Step 2. Follow normal hik pipeline

  • Start receiver and create HIK for actor
  • Map actor to newly created HIK
  • Set newly created HIK as source for Gloves HIK
