Talent Tree - RobertSkalko/Mine-and-Slash GitHub Wiki
Talents are a way to specialize your character, the tree branches of in every direction, meaning no matter your start point, you can go to any talent, as long as you have enough points.
Of course that means you will have to spend points branching off instead of picking useful talents nearby, that's the cost of wide specialization.
You have 4 starting points: Mage, Thief, Warrior and Guardian.
Commands:
- you can zoom in/out with your mouse wheel
- drag around with your mouse to move
- left click allocates a point
- right click removes a point (two requirements for this: 1(you need enough reset points, drink potion of talent removal for this), 2(you can't remove a talent that allows other talents to branch off, you have to remove the last one from the branch first)
- shift or alt click while viewing the talent stats gives you description of those stats, just like on gear tooltips
Talents differ in a few ways:
- small nodes - usually stuff like dex, int etc, gives very small stat amounts and you usually want to minimize amounts of these spent
- big nodes - sometimes 1 stat, other times more. You want to maximize these as they give a lot more stats and cost the same amount of points as the small ones
- major nodes - these are called game changers. They change how you gear your character. With Blood mage you don't need mana, with True hit, you want a ton of crit chance etc.
Default maximum points at lvl 100 is 125.
