For lightcurve run something like:
XSELECT fit region source.reg extract curve binsize $N save curve lc.fits exit
With $N as the lightcurve binsize in seconds.
Use XSELECT command script .xco. For example, nuscreen creates an .xco while running:

Generate an .xco to perform:
xsel$RAND
set inst $INST
read event $EVT
filter region $SRC
extract "CURVE" bins=$N
save curve $LC_FILE
exit
