Custom Enchants

Open the enchant guide with /enchants or from /menu. Bedrock players can tap a placed anvil when Geyser cannot display a custom result in the normal interface. Crouch-tap the block, or use Open Normal Anvil in the custom menu, for vanilla books, repairs, same-item combining, and renaming.

Custom enchants use normal gameplay surfaces where possible: enchant table rolls, enchanted books, anvils, grindstones, loot chests, and recipes. The lore is intentionally simple so they read close to vanilla enchants.

How To Get Them

  • Enchant table enchants can appear from normal enchanting on valid gear.
  • Custom enchant books can be applied in an anvil and consume XP levels.
  • Matching custom enchant books can be combined in an anvil. Two books of the same level upgrade by one level, up to that enchant's max level.
  • Each custom book carries exactly one verified SMPCore enchant. Mixed, stacked, or vanilla-contaminated custom books cannot be used; legacy books with one clear identity repair to that single enchant when loaded.
  • A matching custom enchant book can also upgrade an item that already has the same level, up to that enchant's max level.
  • Same-type tools and armor can be combined in an anvil to merge their SMPCore custom enchants when the right-hand item adds something new.
  • Grindstones remove custom enchants safely.
  • Double Jump is loot-only from Ancient City chests by default.
  • Boss-crafted books are made with Veil boss materials and are shown in /enchants.
  • Boss-crafted book recipe pages can craft from the player's inventory directly. This keeps the recipe reliable for Bedrock/Geyser players while still allowing Java players to use the shown crafting table layout.
  • Tapping a placed anvil opens custom-book application and combining through a Bedrock-safe chest menu. Tap the result preview or Combine Items. Ordinary anvil work and same-item merges transfer safely into Paper's real anvil so Minecraft calculates durability, prior-work cost, and vanilla enchants correctly. /customanvil explains this access path.

Enchant Table Enchants

  • Replenish I: hoe enchant. Replants supported crops when harvested. Any successful enchant-table use on a hoe grants it.
  • Delicate I: tool and weapon enchant. Protects immature crops and harvests stacked plants without destroying the root.
  • Telekinesis I: tool and weapon enchant. Mining and mob drops go straight into your inventory when space is available. Overflow drops normally.
  • Smelting Touch I: pickaxe enchant. Smelts mined drops when a real cooking recipe exists. Netherrack is intentionally ignored.
  • Wise I-III: pickaxe, sword, and hoe enchant. Gives +15%, +30%, or +40% XP from all sources while held. Breaking or right-click harvesting crops with it drops at least 2 XP.
  • Dash I-III: sword and axe enchant. Each level adds one dash charge. Right-click to dash forward; each spent charge refills after 15 seconds. Sneak while right-clicking interactable blocks if you want Dash to trigger instead of opening the block. Remaining charges and the next refill appear above the hotbar.
  • Frostbite I-II: melee enchant. Hits can briefly slow ordinary enemies. Boss-encounter enemies ignore the control effect.
  • Harvesting I-III: hoe enchant. Mature crops can produce one extra crop drop.
  • Bulwark I-III: armor enchant. Worn pieces reduce incoming damage, capped at 30% total reduction.
  • Reinforced I-III: gear enchant. Items can ignore durability damage.
  • Essence Capture I-III: tool and weapon enchant. Eligible mob kills can drop that mob's spawn egg: level I is 0.5%, level II is 1.5%, and level III is 2.5%.

Essence Capture exclusions:

  • Players.
  • Custom bosses.
  • Ender Dragon.
  • Wither.
  • Warden.
  • Elder Guardian.

Loot-Only Enchant

  • Double Jump I: boot enchant. Found in Ancient City loot with a 23% chest chance by default.
  • Double-tap jump while airborne to launch upward and steer forward. It stays available until used or until you land.
  • Each use costs 2 hunger by default. If you are too hungry, a message explains why it did not activate.

Boss-Crafted Enchant Books

These books do not appear from the enchant table. They are stronger because they require Veil boss materials.

Click the enchant in /enchants to view the exact recipe in-game.

Kingslayer I

Effect: melee weapons deal 18% more damage to tracked custom bosses.

Recipe:

Nocturne Rib | Blaze Rod | Nocturne Rib
Blaze Rod | Book | Blaze Rod
Veil Heart | Nether Star | Veil Heart

Soul Siphon I

Effect: melee hits heal a small capped amount based on damage dealt. The cap keeps it PvP-safe.

Recipe:

Briarheart | Ghast Tear | Briarheart
Nocturne Rib | Book | Nocturne Rib
Soul Sand | Golden Apple | Soul Sand

Echoing I

Effect: melee hits can mark ordinary targets with Glowing, apply Weakness, and lightly knock them back with a sonic burst. Boss-encounter enemies ignore the control effect.

Recipe:

Argent Gear | Echo Shard | Argent Gear
Amethyst Shard | Echo Shard | Amethyst Shard
Veil Heart | Book | Veil Heart

Admin Book Commands

  • /replenishbook

Safety Rules

  • Custom enchant books apply through anvils and consume XP levels.
  • Java anvils and the Bedrock-safe custom path use the same validation, level caps, compatibility checks, and one-book consumption rules. Ordinary Bedrock operations use a real server-created anvil rather than an approximate custom calculation.
  • Anvil previews and finished items rebuild their enchant line from the actual result, so existing and newly added enchants always appear together.
  • Custom-enchanted vanilla tools and armor, including Replenish hoes, keep their SMPCore enchants when upgraded in a smithing table. Actual custom relics are still blocked from vanilla crafting and smithing, except Veil armor can use normal armor trims.
  • Custom enchants can be removed safely in a grindstone. Custom books must be ground by themselves so a second item cannot be consumed accidentally.
  • Canceled enchant-table attempts do not grant Replenish or another custom enchant afterward.
  • Smelting Touch and Silk Touch cannot coexist. The anvil rejects the combination, while legacy conflicts keep Smelting Touch and remove Silk Touch.
  • The Runic Loom refuses conflicted gear before consuming a Runebloom Orb.
  • Dash charge timers are stored on the player, so relogging or swapping weapons does not refill them.
  • Boss-crafted enchant books require real Veil boss materials.
  • Boss-crafted enchant books are tracked by the item audit system.
