Abstract
Motorcycles now a days are more computerized then ever and with more computers means more data being collected by those computers. Easy access to this data would make modifying a motorcycle to be faster or more fuel efficient would be a lot easier. This capstone will capstone will be a proof of concept of collecting the data that is being used by the computers on a motorcycle.
Problem/Research Statement
With motorcycles becoming more advanced with technology, they are becoming harder for anyone but trained professionals to work on. If your motorcycle is using to much gas and running rich or if its using to little gas an running lean then you would have to bring it to a shop to have them fix it for you. The main reason you would have to take it to a shop is because you do not have all the information needed to fix it.
Purpose Statement
The purpose of this capstone is to give motorcycle riders that own fuel injected motorcycles with a Dynojet Power Commander V the ability to see all of the data that is being used by the computer that runs the motorcycle. Having this data from the motorcycle will make adjusting the fuel to air ratio of the motorcycle easier, so that the rider can make there motorcycle run better.
