Instead of completely reverting that part of the nerf, we found a happy medium between how fast her gravity lift operated at release and how slow it was after the nerf. This one's hard to communicate with numbers, so just give her a try and tell us what you think.[/i]\n\n[h2]REVENANT[/h2]\n\n[list]\n[*] There’s now a visual and audio cue when Death Totem protection is about to end which can be seen/heard by other players.\n[*] Added a brief slow after being recalled to Death Totem.\n[/list]\n\n[h2]CAUSTIC[/h2]\n\n[list]\n[*] Gas damage starts at 5, increases by 1 every other tick indefinitely.\n[*] Cooldown on Tactical has been reduced 25s -> 20s.\n[*] Ultimate cooldown has been reduced 3.5m -> 3m. Duration reduced from 20s -> 15s.\n[/list]\n\n[i]Dev note:\n\nCaustic is a dangerous character to buff. Push him a little too far, and he quickly takes over the meta. Constantly fighting through gas is no fun, so we definitely want to avoid him becoming dominant once more. That said, we're now convinced the nerf that dropped his gas damage to a flat 5 damage went too far. When you can sit in gas and take a syringe or two and be fine, gas is not a scary enough deterrent. So we switched back to a scaling model. This time we decided to let the damage scale a little more slowly. Instead of going up by one every tick, we're increasing it by one every other tick. Damage is uncapped at the top here, but really that's very theoretical. Enemies will generally be dead around the time the gas reaches 11 damage per tick (unless you've been healing). The desired effect here is to make enemies feel a great urgency to leave the gas as soon as possible.\n\nAt the same time, we wanted to be mindful specifically of Caustic's impact in late game circles at the highest level. Even with Ring 6 now slowly closing over 100 seconds, we were worried about the effect that a single Caustic ult could have in the late game. We reduced its duration by 5 seconds. The ult represents Caustic's highest moment of power; his enemies have no way of countering it. 15 seconds is still a meaningful amount of time (and with the damage changes, 15s is long enough to kill someone) but it should hopefully make fighting a Caustic in the end game slightly less frustrating.[/i]\n\n[h1]WEAPON META[/h1]\n\n[h2]SUPPLY DROP ROTATION[/h2]\n\n[img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38098458/d3f271ceb73c67ff00fd1c508b9c0ce826a90a8f.jpg[/img]\n\nThis season the [b]Prowler [/b]returns to floor loot and taking its place is the [b]M600 Spitfire[/b]. "body": "Greetings!\n\nThe team is slowly coming back together after a well deserved summer vacation.\n\nToday, let’s have a look at what we’ve been doing to the culture setup and some small scale map tweaks. The culture is quite extensive on game start and covers most of south-eastern Bavaria. From a historical point of view, the culture is of a west slavic origin, but as they got cut off from their ancestral brethren in the Carpathian Basin, they became gradually closer to the south slavic peoples. We represent this by Carantanian having a West Slavic Heritage, but speaking a South Slavic Language.\n\n[Image of Carantanian culture]\n\nNext, I’ll hand it over to our local India expert, @Trin Tragula, to talk about (you guessed it) India!\n\n[b]Indian Culture Changes[/b]\nThe culture rework has been a good opportunity to rework the cultures in India a bit. The current setup here is one we inherited from Crusader Kings 2 and it was in some ways not entirely appropriate for our era. To better reflect the diversity of the subcontinent we have added two new cultures, changed the old ones a bit and also added a great number of potential culture names for when the large starting cultures diverge.\n\nFirst of all we have gotten rid of Hindustani culture, and two new cultures have been broken away from what it used to cover in the south. The core part of the culture covers the Gangetic plain, and is now known as Kannauji after the Imperial city of Kannauj (Kanyakubja) which was the main prize of the region and often gave its name to it.\n\nHindustani itself is still around in a way, as a possible name for a cultural hybrid between an Iranian or Turkic culture with one of the north indian cultures.\n\n[Image of the cultures in northern India]\n\nStarting in the central parts of India the newly added Gond culture has been carved out of areas that were previously Hindustani, Marathi or Oriya. In 1066 most Gond counties are under the control of the Cedi kingdom and many of these counties are now also tribal at start. This culture covers a region that was in an odd place in the old setup, at the border of several cultures but not quite belonging to either of them.\n\n[Image of the Gond culture]\n\nCovering the Malwa plateau as well as some of the adjacent regions that were previously considered Hindustani. This new culture shares a language with the Rajasthani and Gujarati cultures, Gurjar Apabhramsa. The existing Rajput culture has been renamed to Rajasthani (since Rajput as a cultural distinction does not really fit our start date) and Assamese is now known as Kamrupi.\n\n[Image of the Malvi culture]\n\n[b]Indian History and Title Improvements[/b]\nWhile looking over the subcontinent it was also clear that in some areas the title setup was also better suited for the early modern era, rather than the medieval era around Crusader Kings III start dates. A number of baronies have been renamed and reorganized into new counties, and a number of new vassals have been scripted in, especially for the 1066 start.\nThe starting presumptions about who controlled what in 1066 have also been revisited to bring things better in line with history and create a more interesting start. There are now more starting characters, both independent and vassals, and most kings will no longer start above their domain limit.\n\nSome things like the crisis of the Chola empire should also be a bit better represented in the initial setup, with strong and somewhat unruly Pandya vassals, a much stronger Lankan revolt and the Chera Raja now independent (with his historical vassals to support him). You can now also play as the future king, Kulottunga.\nThere are also other, minor changes, such as revisiting the extent of cultures like Kashmiri, and Telugu, and assigning a number of tribal counties in the eastern-central part of the subcontinent.\n\n[Image of the Sinhalese rebellion in 1066]\n\nThat concludes today’s dev diary.
