Wild Arms 4 Treasures Checklist - RetroAchievements/guides GitHub Wiki

Set developed by BrunoKiko, guide written by benit149

Hello, and welcome to my treasures checklist for Wild Arms 4. There are 178 treasure chests to look for across the entire game, and the Treasure Hunter achievement requires you to find all of them. Note that this doesn’t include items found in barrels or other miscellaneous locations. Some areas are missable, in particular at the very beginning of the game, which complicates things even further. That’s why I’ve compiled all of these chests into a checklist. As far as game guides go, I used Split_infinity’s guide from GameFAQs to get me through. I noticed that there was a wrong direction or two pointed out, but you should figure it out pretty quickly as you play.

Whenever I refer to a BP, it means a Break Point, or the game’s save point. Likewise, whenever I say β€œuse a Duplo”, it means to consume a Duplicator, or a consumable key. I’ll use the full word if it is itself a treasure. Certain red-colored chests won’t be visible on the screen, meaning you will have to return later with the Detector, which is acquired very late into the game. Keep notes of these chests to remind yourself where to backtrack to. I’ll mark them with β€œDETECTOR REQUIRED” so it’ll be easier to keep track of. The Detector also reveals invisible platforms you can jump on, so some chests you may see will be impossible to reach until you get it.

As an added bonus, I will be mentioning any missable monsters for Monster Encyclopedia since there are a number of one-time dungeons throughout the game that need to be thoroughly explored before advancing the story. You do need to play the game twice to be able to fight the superboss Ragu O Ragla (unless you import save data from Wild Arms: Alter Code F), so don’t stress too much if you miss any enemies in your first playthrough. Likewise, red chests would be immediately available and offer exorbitant amounts of gella (money) if you import said save data. Otherwise, you need to wait until you get the Detector near the very end of the game and backtrack to those areas.

Another thing to point out is that in the Desolate Railroad, there is an optional boss called Black Box that is only fought when all 177 other chests are open, meaning this one will always be #178. If any of the missable chests are not opened, then it becomes impossible to fight Black Box in that save file.

Not much else for me to say, so here you go.
