Missable Achievements!!!

  • Basically every Scenarios has a special challenge achievement, which means every Scenarios has a missable achievement.
  • I will be listing some more important ones below.
Badge Description Remarks
Falling Off The Edge Of The World
Show Chaos humans won't be kept down by bringing and keeping your 8 core commanders alive to the end of Scenario 20
Because of this, you MUST keep all your commanders alive on your first playthrough. If any of your commander has died (or turned into stone), reload a save.
I Speed At Night
With a well-positioned, leveled, and classed party, instantly crush Mortimus on Turn 1 in Scenario 19
Because of this, you MUST be leveling up most of your commanders efficiently. You will a lot of strong spell casters. More info on the Strategy & Roadmap section.
Tenacious Rival
In one session and without Interruption, encounter and defeat Lance in Scenarios 7, 8, and 9
Special mention for this. I'd keep a save at Scenario 7.

Overview

This achievement set can be grouped into a few types.

  • Story Progression (this cannot be missed, and completing these will mark the game as beaten for you).
  • Story Challenges - Every Scenario has a special challenge condition.
  • Class Promotion - You'll need to promote every commander to the max class.
  • No-Troop Challenges - You'll need to clear a few scenarios consecutively in a single session without hiring any troops.

Strategy & Roadmap

I recommend 2 playthroughs:

First: Optimal Playthough

  • Keep all commanders alive.
  • Level-up the commanders optimally, target to get Sabra to Dragon Knight, and get as many high-rank spellcasters as possible.
  • Clear all the scenario challenges.

Second: No-Troop Playthough

  • Focus on leveling Garett to max-rank as soon as possible.
  • After that, focus on leveling at least one Ranger (either Sabra or Calais).
  • Having 2 Rangers or additional spellcasters will make the game very easy.

First Playthough (Optimal Run)

General Strategy & Tips

  • Backup your saves! The game only allow 3 save slots, I recommend making a copy of your save file for every Scenarios!
  • Interruption save is allowed for this playthrough. If you think you hit a certain milestone in the Scenario, or that you're going to try a risky move, it's a good idea to make interruption save.
  • EXP is the most important limited resource in the game. Try to optimize exp gain by killing every troops before killing enemy commanders.
  • Spread out your exp gain and level-up your commanders evenly. You'll want Sabra to be a Dragon Knight, and plenty of high-level high-rank spellcasters by the end of Scenario 18. If you need to train your low-level commanders, let high-level commanders stay at 9 HP and help weaken enemy troops.
  • Reload a save when any of your commanders die. We need them all to stay alive until the end for this playthrough.

Below are the stage-by-stage walkthrough for each of the challenges.

Scenario 1 - Escape from the castle

Before The Fall (Progression)
Escape Castle Baltia in Scenario 1
Lord Of The Last Day (Challenge)
Repel all invaders attacking Castle Baltia in Scenario 1

Strategy & Tips

  • This is one of the hardest challenge to clear in the game, so it'll take quite a few tries.
  • There is an entire GameFAQs guide dedicated to clear this exact challenge: GameFAQs - Scenario 1 Guide (GEN) by ZSJesse
    • Above guide tries to kill all enemies and let Garett gain exp optimally. IMO to make things easier, it is okay to make full use of Baldarov and the King, no need to be too greedy about leveling Garett. Optimizing Garett's exp for this Scenario matters very little in the grand scheme of things.
  • Abuse 2 things:
    • Enemy commanders will not actively attack you unless their troops are all wiped out. Use this to strategize.
    • Standing on top of castle walls give you very high extra boost.

Scenario 2 - To Sulras

Strange Highways (Progression)
Escort Mina safely to Sulras or wipe out the enemy force in Scenario 2
Between Two Hearts (Challenge)
Protect Mina from engaging in direct combat in Scenario 2

Strategy & Tips

  • It'll be easier to clear the challenge first, then replay the Scenario and clear optimally.
  • To clear the challenge, use Garett and his troops to block Mina's path so she stays stuck at the bottom of the map. Just line Garett and his troops directly on top of Mina and put them in Manual mode. Then send Baldarov and his troops alone to kill all the enemies.
  • If played optimally, Garett should already be promoted to rank 2. I recommend going for the Grand Knight path for this playthrough, so promote him to Knight.

Scenario 3 - Surprise Attack

Evil On Queen Street (Progression)
Stop the invasion by defeating Malvese in Scenario 3
Blood From A Stone (Challenge)
Allow Thorne to reach level 5 in Scenario 3

Strategy & Tips

  • To clear the challenge is just a matter of patience. Let the enemies all go to Thorne and let him kill.
  • Just in case, you can let Garett and Baldarov stay just 1 space beside Thorne so at least he won't be surrounded.
  • You can also hire a few archers to protect him if he needs to heal.

Scenario 4 - The Wood of Dead Souls

Evilution (Progression)
Survive the slimy monsters of the forest in Scenario 4
Holy Diver (Challenge)
See to it at least one Great Slime is destroyed by combat in Scenario 4

Strategy & Tips

  • Reinforcements will appear at the left of the map after a few turns, so try to stay near the left so that when they appear, they'll be nearer to the enemies and hopefully they are able to kill one Great Slime.
  • If you have trouble staying alive, stay on the mountains.

Scenario 5 - Army of the Empire

Institutional Man (Progression)
Outmaneuver the enemy commander Lance and make him flee in Scenario 5
Here's To You (Challenge)
Attack and destroy the 3rd Commander with Baldarov before Lance gives him orders in Scenario 5

Strategy & Tips

  • I recommend clearing the challenge first, then restart the Scenario and play optimally.
  • The 3rd Commander starts out at the immediate north of your units, so just hire a full army of archers for Baldarov, put him at the north-most position, and rush him over to kill him. Restart the Scenario after this.
  • The Scenario will end when you kill Lance, so optimize your exp by killing him last.

Scenario 6 - Battle for the Castle of Baltia

Faces In The Window (Progression)
Arrive back home, storm the castle, and take it from Geryon in Scenario 6
Shame On The Night (Challenge)
Eliminate every enemy group of soldiers before their respective commanders fall in Scenario 6

Strategy & Tips

  • My strategy is to deploy 3 commanders on the right side, and 1 on the left side.
    • The one on the left will run north, and then run right to meet-up with the rest of your army.
    • The enemies from the left will try to chase your left commander. Be careful when killing the enemy commander from the left, as some of their troops might get stuck midway while chasing. Be very sure that you kill all the enemy troops before killing their commanders.
  • Try to focus on promoting Sabra into Lord. You need someone that can hire archers starting from the next Scenario.

Scenario 7 - A Brave Man of the Fortress

Tenacious Rival (⚠️⚠️⚠️ Special Mention!)
In one session and without Interruption, encounter and defeat Lance in Scenarios 7, 8, and 9
Born On The Sun (Progression)
Slay Momus before Bayard in Anzel burns out in Scenario 7
Rainbow In The Dark (Challenge)
Repel the siege of Anzel by defeating Momus before Bayard loses all his soldiers in Scenario 7

Strategy & Tips

  • ⚠️⚠️⚠️ KEEP A SAVE FILE HERE!!!
    • We will clear the Tenacious Rival achievement separately with this save (unless you plan to clear the next 3 Scenarios within the same session).
  • You'll need to rush someone strong to the north to save Bayard before his troops are wiped out.
  • To save time, make an interruption save when you are near to Momus, kill him to clear the challenge achievement, then reload the interruption save and play optimally.
  • Lance will appear from the north after a few turns, have your archer units be ready to intercept him.
  • Hopefully you have a rank 3 commander by now (most likely is Garett as Grand Knight. Sabra as Dragon Knight is also a good choice).

Scenario 8 - The Follow-up Attack

All The Fools Sailed Away (Progression)
Stop the enemy from escaping by bringing down the Chief Commander in Scenario 8
Sunset Superman (Challenge)
Only bring Garett, Bayard and one other commander of your choosing to complete Scenario 8

Strategy & Tips

  • It'll be better to clear the challenge first, then restart and play optimally.
  • Rush your best commanders to kill the enemy Chief Commander, then restart and play optimally.
  • Lance will appear from the bottom-left of the map after a few turns, alongside a bunch of horsemen. Have your archer units be ready to intercept.
  • If you care about promoting Tiberon to Knight Master, then do not promote him in this Scenario. You'll need him to be a Crocodile Knight or Serpent Knight in the next Scenario. Personally, I choose to make him into a Serpent Knight since a Knight Master is still quite useless, not worth investing.

Scenario 9 - The Torrents of Worth

Like The Beat Of A Heart (Progression)
Escape to the north or wipe out all other forces in Scenario 9
Hunter Of The Heart (Challenge)
On offense, land over 50 hits with Tiberion riding a Crocodile or Serpent during Scenario 9 (in the same session)

Strategy & Tips

  • It'll be easier to clear the challenge first, then restart and play optimally.
  • Hopefully Tiberon is close to promotion (or already promoted to Serpent Knight). To clear the challenge, make everyone else hide at the bottom, and use Tiberon to swim around killing enemy troops. You can hire troops for Tiberon, but only use the troops as fodders to protect him. Use Tiberon himself to attack enemy troops until you clear the challenge achievement.
  • By the end of this Scenario, everyone should already be promoted to their rank 2 class, with Garett and Sabra be at their rank 3 class, or close to it.

Tip

Reminder: If you haven't already, now is a good time to reload your save from Scenario 7 and clear the Tenacious Rival achievement.

Scenario 10 - Castle on the Water

Push (Progression)
Eliminate the Chief Commander at the fortress of Valk in Scenario 10
Double Monday (Challenge)
Defeat the High Priest the before slaying either of the two Serpent Knights in Scenario 10

Strategy & Tips

  • Kill everyone that leaves the castle, but keep the 2 Serpent Knights alive. Only kill them after you've cleared the challenge achievement.
    • Have someone with high DEF lure them to the mountains, and keep them occupied.
  • You can park Tiberon (as Serpent Knight) or Sabra (as Dragon Knight) outside the castle near the enemy spellcasters (but outside of their troop range), and have them waste their MP on them.
  • To save time, make interruption save, rush in and kill the High Priest to clear the challenge achievement, then reload the interruption save and go back to play optimally.

Scenario 11 - The Castle of Dalsis

The Last In Line (Progression)
Clear Dalsis by escaping through the center in Scenario 11
Caught In The Middle (Challenge)
Bring only Garett, Carleon, and two other commanders of your choosing and clear Scenario 11

Strategy & Tips

  • It is better to clear the challenge first, then restart and play optimally.
  • To clear the challenge, bring Garett, Carleon, and 2 other strongest commanders you have.
    • Deploy them only on top-left and top-right.
    • If Sabra is a Dragon Knight, you can fly her straight to the center to end the stage quickly.
  • Lance will appear at the bottom-left after a few turns. So hire archers and station there.
  • Flying monsters will appear on the top and bottom of the map after a few turns.
    • In order to not waste any exp, hire archers and put them near the corners of the castle closest to them to try to lure them to your units. Otherwise they will fly to the middle and engage the enemies.

Scenario 12 - The Twin Castle

Losing My Insanity (Progression)
End Emperor Pythion at the top of the Twin Castles in Scenario 12
Stay Out Of My Mind (Challenge)
Overthrow Emperor Pythion without killing his Chief Commander in Scenario 12

Strategy & Tips

  • This is one of the toughest Scenario to play. You don't get to choose your commander placements, and they start out with very awkward match-ups. Good luck!
  • If Sabra is a Dragon Knight, she can fly into unreachable tile to absorb enemy spells (on the wall behind a pillar).
  • To clear the challenge, you can either try to kill the Emperor with just the units on the right room, or try to get the Chief Commander to move out of the way.
    • To make the Chief Commander move out of the way, kill all his troops. He will move out and attack your units.

Scenario 13 - The City of Stone Statues

Turn To Stone (Progression)
Slay all the monsters in Scenario 13
As Long As It's Not About Love (Challenge)
Bring only Mina and Sabra with Garett, rescue Lance, and win together in Scenario 13

Strategy & Tips

  • This is the most annoying Scenario to play.
  • I recommend quickly clear the challenge, and then restart to play optimally.
  • To clear the challenge, have Sabra quickly go up and rescue Lance, then quickly kill all enemy commanders to win.
  • Since the Basilisks are so annoying, I recommend just kill them quickly without worrying too much about losing exp.
    • You can optimize your exp kills from the ants and slimes.
  • Remember to rescue Lance just before you clear the Scenario.

Scenario 14 - Wolf Pack

One Night In The City (Progression)
Stop the city invasion in Scenario 14
Lock Up The Wolves (Challenge)
Protect all Citizens from any attack using only Thorne, Garett, and two other commanders in Scenario 14

Strategy & Tips

  • It is better to clear the challenge achievement, and then restart and play optimally.
  • To clear the challenge, bring Garett, Thorn, and 2 strongest commanders with archers. Quickly kill the enemy commanders to end the stage.
  • Try to spread out the exp to the commanders that need them the most.

Scenario 15 - Roar of the Dragon

Dream Evil (Progression)
Fight back the Great Dragon by any means in Scenario 15
Fever Dreams (Challenge)
Disregard the Priest and take out the Dragon with your own power in Scenario 15

Strategy & Tips

  • I'd skip the challenge for now. Go up and summon the help for this playthrough.
    • We can take on this challenge achievement during the no-troop playthrough, since we'll be having a Ranger (or two).
  • But if you still intend to take on this challenge in this run:
    • Give Warsong and Evil Axe to the 2 strongest commanders you have (probably Garett and Sabra).
    • Save up some MP of your spellcasters.
    • When you're ready, make an interruption save, spam all your spells on the Dragon to lower its HP as much as possible, then use your 2 strongest commanders to kill him, all within the same turn.

Scenario 16 - In the Darkness

Killing The Dragon (Progression)
Finish off the Great Dragon in Scenario 16
Magica (Challenge)
Pick up the Dragon Slayer with Calais before Turn 12 in Scenario 16

Strategy & Tips

  • To clear the challenge, deploy Calais to the left-most position with an army of guardmen.
    • Use the guardmen to kill the slimes, and make Calais run non-stop.
    • Make an interruption save just before she pick up the sword. After she pick it up, reload the save. It is better to let someone stronger to pick up the sword to kill the Dragon easier.
  • You can also choose to ignore the challenge for now. We can clear it in the no-troop run if you intend to make Calais into a Ranger.
    • Ranger run a lot faster and she can reach the sword with less turns if unobstructed.
  • To kill the Dragon, use the same strategy as before:
    • Save up some MP for all your spellcasters.
    • Make interruption save, spam your spells on the Dragon to lower its HP as much as possible, then kill them with the strongest commanders within the same turn.

Scenario 17 - The Fierce Attack

Discovery (Progression)
Crush the monster force to reach Seneferia in Scenario 17
The Mob Rules (Challenge)
Pick only Calais, Sabra, Tiberon, and use them to keep Garett out of direct combat in Scenario 17

Strategy & Tips

  • It is better to clear the challenge, and then restart and play optimally.
  • You better have most of your commanders be in their 3rd class already (or close to it).
    • You only have 2 more Scenarios for good exp left.
    • Prioritize these targets:
      • Sabra as Dragon Knight.
      • 3x spellcasters, priotize in these order: Mina as Saint, Calais, then Magic Knight.
  • Nothing special here. Just play like normal. Read a GameFAQs guide if you need help.

Scenario 18 - Seneferia

Stargazer (Progression)
Overcome the challenge of Naxos in Scenario 18
Die Young (Challenge)
Just Lance and Garett- no one else, and no troops, to take on Naxos and win in Scenario 18

Strategy & Tips

  • It is better to clear the challenge, and then restart and play optimally.
  • You don't even need Garett. Just fly Lance over, lure the golems out of position, and kill Naxos with Lance alone.

Scenario 19 - The Elusive Knight

Turn Up The Night (Progression)
As with Naxos, clear Mortimus out of the way in Scenario 19
I Speed At Night (Challenge)
With a well-positioned, leveled, and classed party, instantly crush Mortimus on Turn 1 in Scenario 19

Strategy & Tips

  • Here it goes, the final showdown for all the optimized leveling, for this challenge achievement!
  • Position Sabra at the immediate north of Mortimus. Equip her with Amulet and hire some troops.
  • Position your 3x strongest spellcasters at the bottom-most positions.
    • If Calais is an Arch Mage, her Earthquake can also reach from the 4th place from the bottom.
    • Equip the Wand to your strongest spellcaster.
  • Now, at the start, have your spellcasters all cast their strongest spells at Mortimus.
    • Hopefully after all the spells, some of his troops will die. Mortimus should also be terribly weak after all these.
    • If the skeletons protecting him are still alive, with the Amulet equipped, Sabra's troops will still be in range to fly in and kill the skeletons, exposing Mortimus.
    • Fly Sabra in and kill the weakened Mortimus.
  • Congratulations! You have done the most important challenge achievement in the game!
    • If you still need exp (to promote commanders still yet to reach their rank 3 class), restart and level them up.

Scenario 20 - The Confinement of Darkness

Heaven And Hell (Progression)
Bring Light and Justice to the evil Magic Knight Ganelon in Scenario 20
Falling Off The Edge Of The World (Challenge)
Show Chaos humans won't be kept down by bringing and keeping your 8 core commanders alive to the end of Scenario 20

Strategy & Tips

  • Nothing special here. As long as you keep all your commanders alive, just clear this stage as normal.
  • If you forgot and accidentally let someone die... too bad, you've just missed this achievement. Try again in the next playthrough, it should be quite easy as well since you can bench them all in most of the Scenarios.

Second Playthrough (No-Troop Run)

General Strategy & Tips

  • Again, backup your save files!
  • Do not be intimidated by the nature of this playthrough, it is a lot easier than you think.
  • Target to get Garett up to max rank ASAP. I recommend going the King path so you get access to a weak Heal.
  • Next, target to get Sabra or Calais into Ranger.
  • You don't have to play the entire playthrough without hiring any troops. Each no-troop achievements span for 4 Scenarios, you can rush and clear 4 Scenarios quickly, get the achievement unlocked, and then load a save and level up optimally.
  • You should be able to clear the game with just Garett and a Ranger, but if you can get a second Ranger, or make Mina into a Saint, the later Scenarios will become very easy.
  • Prioritize equiping DEF boosting items.
  • It is okay to let unimportant commanders die in this playthrough (unless you're still trying to clear the Falling Off The Edge Of The World achievement).

Scenario 1 to 4

Troopless I: Escape
In one session, clear Scenarios 1-4 without hiring any troops
  • It's pretty hard to level-up Garett optimally without any troops. I suggest quickly clearing all 4 Scenarios using Baldarov, and then restart and level-up Garett optimally with troops.
  • Scenario 1 - Just escape normally.
  • Scenario 2 - This one of the hardest to play without any troops.
    • Mina will constantly try to push forward and suicide.
    • I find it easier to just quickly kill the enemy behind, and then run way ahead of Mina to draw the attention of enemies.
    • Always try to attack enemy troops with high HP so they will retreat to heal. Don't be greedy on finishing troops with low HP.
    • If you keep one troop alive, the enemy leader will not actively attack you. Use this to your advantage.
  • Scenario 3 - Run into a church, and have Garett block the entrance.
    • Garett will likely promote in this Scenario. I recommend going for the King path in this playthrough, so promote him into Lord.
  • Scenario 4 - Run and stay alive on top of a mountain.

Scenario 5 to 8

Troopless II: Avenge
In one session, clear Scenarios 5-8 without hiring any troops
  • Again, it'll be easier to quickly clear 4 Scenarios using Garett, and then restart and level-up your Ranger candidate optimally with troops (Sabra or Calais).
    • If you still need the Magica achievement, you might want to make Calais be your first Ranger.
  • Scenario 5 - Unless you still need everyone to be alive, it is okay to let Thorne die here.
    • Camp at the bottom-right mountain area, and let the enemies attack you with terrain disadvantage.
  • Scenario 6 - Just start everyone on the right side, and stay alive on the mountains. Let the enemies come to you.
    • If you still need Thorne to be alive, start him on the left, make him escape to the north and run to the right. Slowly move your right team to the north to rescue him.
    • Garett should be promoted to King by now, or close to it.
  • Scenario 7 - Using Garett as King, quickly run over to rescue Bayard.
  • Scenario 8 - Garett should have no problem clearing this Scenario.
  • By the end of this, your first Ranger candidate should be a Magic Knight by now.

Scenario 9 to 12

Troopless III: Vanquish
In one session, clear Scenarios 9-12 without hiring any troops
  • Starting from now, things will be getting easier from now on.
  • There is no need to be super optimized from now, just try to level-up your Ranger candidate as much as possible.
  • Scenario 9 - Abuse the mountains. Let the enemies come to you. It is okay to let the enemies fight among themselves.
  • Scenario 10 - Abuse the starting mountains, and then move in and abuse the castle walls.
  • Scenario 11 - The monsters will probably help you clear a lot of the enemies.
  • Scenario 12 - Lure the emperor out by killing all his troops, and sit on his throne to gain the terrain advantage.
    • If you have a Ranger, Garett and Ranger should have no problem killing him in a 2v1.
    • Shoot a Fireball at him to lower his HP a little so he won't accidentally kill you.
  • If you are being diligent and optimal, by the end of this, you should already have your first Ranger, and your 2nd Ranger candidate should already be a Magic Knight by now.
    • Don't need to stress about having multiple Rangers. It is still doable with just Garett and a single Ranger. Having more is just making things easier.

Scenario 13 to 16

Troopless IV: Defend
In one session, clear Scenarios 13-16 without hiring any troops
  • Scenario 13 - The Basilisks are still the most annoying enemies to deal with. Try to kill them quickly.
    • Remember to rescue Lance. He is very useful to have in your team.
  • Scenario 14 - Really nothing much to say here. Garett and your Rangers can win with ease.
  • Scenario 15 - Equip the Warsong on Garett, and the Shield to your Ranger.
    • If you still need the Fever Dreams achievement, you can kill the dragon using your Ranger.
  • Scenario 16 - Equip the Warsong to your Ranger. Garett will take the Dragon Slayer.

Scenario 17 to 20

Troopless V: Restore
In one session, clear Scenarios 17-20 without hiring any troops
  • Nothing special to mention. Garett and your Ranger can easily push and clear the rest of the game.
  • Scenario 20 - Sit on the throne to get the extra terrain bonus when fighting the boss.

Story Progression Achievements

Story Milestones

  • All these are tied to story progression and cannot be missed.
  • Clearing all these will mark your game as beaten.
They are all repeats in the Optimal Playthrough section, so I have hidden them in a collapse. Click to expand.

  • You'll need to level up each commanders to the highest rank at least once.
  • With the exception of Tiberon, everyone will need to rank up at least twice to reach the highest rank.
Badge Description Badge Description Remarks
Class Change I: Garett
Promote Garett to a Lord or Knight
Class Change II: Garett
Promote Garett to a King, Magic Knight, Grand Knight, or Knight Master
I recommend going for Grand Knight in the first playthrough, and then going for King in the no-troop playthrough. Grand Knight has slightly better stats and a way better troop-bonus. King has access to a weak Heal which come in handy sometimes.
Class Change I: Calais
Promote Calais to a Wizard or Priestess
Class Change II: Calais
Promote Calais to an Arch Mage, Magic Knight, Saint, or High Priestess
The Wizard path is better IMO. She's a good candidate to be your first Ranger in the no-troop playthrough.
Class Change I: Mina
Promote Mina to a Priestess, Wizard, or Bishop
Class Change II: Mina
Promote Mina to a Saint, High Priestess, Arch Mage, or Magic Knight
Promote her into a Saint. It is the best.
Class Change I: Sabra
Promote Sabra to a Lord or Knight
Class Change II: Sabra
Promote Sabra to a Dragon Knight, Magic Knight, Grand Knight, or Knight Master
I highly recommend making her into Dragon Knight in the first playthrough. She being able to fly over walls make up part of the core strategy for the 1-turn-kill achievement. She's a good candidate for your first Ranger in the no-troop playthrough.
Class Change I: Thorne
Promote Thorne to a Lord or Knight
Class Change II: Thorne
Promote Thorne to a Magic Knight or Knight Master
He's one of your generic male Fighters. Magic Knight is the best for them IMO.
Class Change I: Bayard
Promote Bayard to a Lord or Knight
Class Change II: Bayard
Promote Bayard to a Magic Knight or Knight Master
Same as above.
Class Change I: Carleon
Promote Carleon to a Lord or Knight
Class Change II: Carleon
Promote Carleon to a Magic Knight or Knight Master
Same as above.

Special Mentions

Badge Description Remarks
Class Change III: Tiberon
Promote Tiberon to Serpent Knight or Knight Master
He's most useful when you first got him, and then he become very useless at the later part of the game. Although Knight Master might be more optimal, it still sucks badly. Personally I'd just make him into Serpent Knight, and then put him on bench once he's outlived his usefulness and let others get more share of exp.
Class Change III: Ranger
Promote Mina, Calais, or Sabra to a Ranger
You'll be making either Sabra or Calais (or both) into a Ranger during the no-troop playthrough. I don't recommend getting one in the first playthrough since we will need a well-optimized team near the end.
