2) Introduction

Tweety & the Magic Gems (developed and published by Kemco) was released across all 3 regions for the Game Boy Advance in 2001. It is a charming Looney Tunes adventure which spans across both board and party genres.

The set, developed by RyCuLe, consists of 56 achievements worth 231 points, making this a fairly low scored, but quick master. Regional support is available for both the European and Japanese versions of the game.

This guide will go into detail surrounding some of the more difficult/ambiguous achievements from the set.

3) Achievement Guide

Jokers Wild
Prevent either of the devils from harassing you by having some food handy on Normal difficulty or higher and against 3 CPUs.

Guide

Possibly the toughest achievement to earn due to the high dependency on RNG of cards drawn and the items needed in your inventory. You will need at least one of the following in your inventory:

  1. Meal in a Can: deters Taz.
  2. Delicious Meat: deters She-Devil.
  3. ACME Meat: deters both devils.

These items, also effected by RNG, can be acquired through multiple means, such as:

  • Purchase from the shop.
  • Free gift from drawing a 7 or Ace.
  • Opening the Mysterious Treasure Box.

Following the acquisition of said items, you will then need to draw a Joker from the pack. There is a 1/27 chance of doing so. To maximise your chances of popping this achievement, ensure you pick up and keep the aforementioned items in your inventory where possible.

Taxi!
Hitch a ride around any city on Normal difficulty or higher and against 3 CPUS.

Guide

This achievement can become a bit of a pain due to the RNG factor. There is a chance, to ride a taxi around a city when you step on the Exit tile. I cannot confirm whether or not this happens in every city. I can confirm however, that this definitely can occur in Hong Kong, London and New York.

If you want to focus specifically on forcing this event to trigger, then move your character over the Exit tile inside one of the cities mentioned above. Repeat this each turn.

Tourist
Learn about 10 monuments in one game on Hard difficulty and against 3 CPUs.

Explorer
Learn about 25 monuments in one game on Hard difficulty and against 3 CPUs.

Sightseeing: Beijing
Learn about all of Beijing's monuments in one game on Normal difficulty or higher and against 3 CPUs.

...

Sightseeing: Sydney
Learn about all of Sydney's monuments in one game on Normal difficulty or higher and against 3 CPUs.

Guide

The above 16 "Sightseeing" achievements all work in an idential manner, less the location. Likewise, "Tourist" and "Explorer" work in a similar fashion, with the exception being quantity of monuments found.

There are 16 cities in total. Each city ranges from having 2 to 4 monuments which can be found inside.

By using Routes view (third option down) you can navigate a cursor around the map without having to take a turn. Doing this inside a city and pressing Select upon a monument tile will provide you with some factual trivia.

It is recommended to focus solely on these achievements during a single playthrough in order to reach the requirements for "Explorer". Ensure to visit every city you come across and their respective monuments.

Routes view is also useful for ensuring you get to your destination in the minimum amount of moves.
