I didn't want anyone to slog through these like I did, these are tall orders for mastery purposes, so I took it upon myself to make this guide. No one has ever bothered making a map or a video for these, as there is no confirmation that you've collected all of them; I think this achievement is the only (late discovery edit: mostly) complete tally of these things in human existence, and I am confident yet not proud whatsoever that I'm the only person to collect all of them twice. You don't get any nice art for getting these like the Comics, and collecting all of them doesn't give you 50k smash points like the Hints. Well, you do break 50k after collecting 25 of them, but I digress.
Shoutouts to Encore Mode for keeping track of these things again so I didn't have to physically, and to REMLEZAR for the Critical Pain strategy that I wouldn't have thought of because I never used that move casually. I took inspiration from "FOURTY & PLAYs" who made Comics & Hints video guides on youtube and showed the map after every collectable. The green arrow icon does cover up a lot of space on the map, so I tried to show a nearby landmark or sign for reference points whenever possible. I also tried to make some pictures funny which may have obfuscated a few tokens and also took more time than necessary =]
As evidenced by the timer in each City picture, you can enter a challenge mission that doesn't have a time limit and collect everything on the map without fear of enemies; this also had the nice bonus of not having a bunch of (!)s clutter up the map pictures. Once you complete a mission for the first time, you can access it from the main menu (or Church menu) without having to walk to its star location on the map. You'll need to abort the mission in order to save your game either way though. For the City I chose Kick the Can, and for the Badlands I chose Fast Mover 7 (near the Cafe); the only other safe type of mission there was the golf one and that would have had a big iron thing in the way of each picture. Please excuse the unsightly green circle in all of those~
Some tokens in both zones are bunched together in 2s or 3s and will be pictured & labeled as such. At press time, some of the tokens don't trigger the achievement progress pop-up, which means they don't count towards the total? but they are still tracked internally, as in your total still increments....? so don't fret!
Makes two large gaps to tokens easier.... in theory. I overshot them a lot
The final upgrade isn't necessary (I didn't want to keep playing to re-unlock it on a new file), but will make everything easier of course

Was very helpful in seeing all these dumb tokens down below. Made me seasick & bothered my thumb from readjusting the camera every half-second
I separate the two sections of the City (Lower & Upper; Gunnery Island excluded) by visualizing the street right under the northern-most point as a \ slash. Lower City is an ordeal so I tried to group them into little segments rather than the gradual west -> east sweep of Upper City. Imagine the Lower City quartered like a window to see what I mean. A dozen or so require the blue gorilla so they will be clumped up in their own part.
There are >200 pictures in total here so I've put them in dropdown menus for the 480k warning or whatever people used to say; click to expand each one.
Thanks to Nepiki for the advice; big flushing sound to github for having 1000000 different Actions and Gists and all that but an incredibly arcane editing system that didn't tell me this was an option!!

There's a token here, but it's shy. You can collect it as-is, but if you hit it with a Shockwave Smash you will uncover it from the ground, and you can do that for every token if you so wish. It was the last one I had to find after an amount of time that will remain undisclosed. Thanks Miyamoto

You can nudge an air conditioner over to the closest corner to the token and use it as a stepstool. Don't run though, just stand & jump.

The gorilla is optional for these - you can make these gaps with the same moves listed here, but they're not as lenient. Before even getting to either spot, grab enough health for a Critical Mass move. Fully charge a jump then run & jump with the gorilla; jumping straight up won't give you enough horizontal momentum. The gorilla will disintegrate for some reason after an invisible trigger, and you need to use your dash(es) before that point or you won't be able to once the gorilla's popped. Once the gorilla's popped, use Critical Pain (A + X) and hope you connect directly with the token; the camera is your enemy here and you might over- or undershoot the token a few times like myself. You may need to air stomp at the right moment. I didn't include the map for the second one but it's right next to the observatory(?) and hard to forget. I did include both nearby buildings to show they can be used to your running & jumping preference.

The Badlands also have two sections, the Town (and its immediate surroundings) & whatever you call the lower chunk. I didn't bother being hyper-precise in the Town like I did in the City since it's a much smaller area.
