General tips for unlocking the achievements in this set

  • If an achievement is related to a cutscene, try not to skip. This should only be a problem if you're replaying the game, since you can't skip if you haven't seen the cutscene yet. Would be preferable to start from a whole new save file if possible.
  • Fast forwarding with emulator tools is allowed and should still trigger the achievements.
  • Some achievements can be skipped once the triggered popup is shown on screen. The corresponding achievement for the cutscene will unlock once the cutscene is skipped or is done. [^triggered]

🏆 Achievement Percentage

  • These achievements are tracked throughout the whole game. Each chapter has a corresponding achievement, which increments by a percentage whenever certain cutscenes end.
  • You can view your current progress via the RAoverlay. Or once you have achieved one ending, you will unlock the extra menu in the title scren. If you head over there to the results menu, you'll see the percentages as well.

- In chapter 4, when you haven't gotten the ornamental egg before this chapter starts (refer to a_GetOrnamentalEgg), there's only 2 ways to complete the chapter. By using Franssen's Shop Sign or becoming the performer

1. Go to 1908 and when you have the costume you can travel back to chapter 1 by interacting with the jugglery or ornamental egg on one of the chairs next to Sibylla
2. Use your jugglery item at the Marktzplatz, just as you've seen in the chapter 1 ending cutscene

2. Take a photo with Sibylla and Eckart in 1900s.
3. DO NOT acquire the frying pan by becoming a performer (refer to a_BecomeThePerformer).

Walkthrough starting at the start of chapter 4:

1. Meet Alfred & Sibylla Brum in chapter 4
2. Go and steal Franssen's Shop Sign (refer to a_Chapter4CompleteSign) or find yourself a frying pan (refer to a_Chapter4CompletePan) by exchanging the ornamental egg with the barman
3. Once you have an iron plate. Head back to Sibylla to take a picture.
4. Head back to the present and use the iron plate before death. You'll now see an extende ending cutscene for this chapter.

- This achievement is only achievable when going for ending E, as you will not be able to acquire certain items and some items are automatically lost during the story
- Largest achievable inventory is 20 items (including the 5 starter items)

Missable items (7):
--------------------------
- Old map: obtainable from city hall. Before chapter 3, you'll find it inside. After chapter 3 it will be just outside next to the door
- Ornamental egg: in chapter 1 (refer to a_GetOrnamentalEgg); or have this exchanged for a frying pan, still counts as 1. But you might have a hard time getting Franssen Shop sign if you have the pan.
- Cake: in chapter 3 (refer to a_GiveMargaretteCake)
- Scrap of meat: from the butcher from chapter 4 onward, in 1902 or 1582. Even after you've used one meat, you can still get another one from the butcher.
- Franssen's Photo shop sign: in chapter 4 (refer to a_Chapter4CompleteSign)
- Kitten: in chapter 4 or 5 (refer to a_TimeTravellingCat)
- Letter to Dana: Go for ending E (refer to a_EndingE), after acquiring the red stone from Dana, don't go to Dr. Wagner but head to Café Sonne and collect the letter

- Make sure you have a few energy units stored to complete this achievement

1. In chapter 6, while talking to Oleg pick the right choices which will result in a box office movie hit in the present (refer to a_Chapter6CompleteThriller or a_Chapter6CompleteLove).
2. Go to Haupstreet (refer to a_SnowyCrimeScene) and view all 3 cutscenes.
3. At the end of the cutscene where Miriam dies, time travel back to the same time period (1980, the snowy day), but this time you'll arrive just before the shooting takes place
4. Pick any choice while talking to Miriam
5. Walk around Haupstreet again, to view an altered cutscene of Miriam's death.
6. Once the cutscene finishes, travel back to the present
7. Once back in the present, immediately travel back to 1980, the snowy day
8. After talking to Miriam again, chase her around Lebensbaum, if you're too slow to follow her you may have to restart this step
9. After saving Miriam the achievement will unlock

1. In chapter 5, talk to the man twice (refer to a_LostYoungCouple4). Doing this will unlock the dialogue option in the next step. Continue this playthrough till Chapter 7.
2. In chapter 7, talk with the woman at the town square. When talking to her a 2nd time, you'll get a dialogue option. Advise her to be TRUTHFUL. Continue this playthrough till Chapter 8
3. In chapter 8, head to the Middle Ages after the experiment. Talk with the man outside the church and tell him about LOVERS NEVER DESTINED TO MEET.

Chapter Clear Time

- Finish any chapter of the base game (EX chapter is excluded)

Submit: Leaderboard will submit when the chapter completion menu is displayed. (The EX chapter is not included in these leaderboards)
Measured value: These leaderboards hook on to a timer, which keeps track of the total playtime of the current chapter

Agile Energy Hunter

- These leaderboards require the player to have enough space in the Z-pad/D-pad to pickup 5 energy orbs in one go
(refer to Energy Locator achievements)

Start: Leaderboard starts when 2 energy orbs have been picked up. The reason for this, is to reduce RAoverlay spamming you with leaderboards. The leaderboard cannot start if you're starting from a save file which has already picked up more than 2 orbs. It will also not start when you can't pick up enough energy orbs
Cancel: Leaderboard is canceled when using an energy orb to time travel, returning to the title screen, loading an indoor area or changing chapters
Submit: Leaderboard submits when all 5 energy orbs in the outdoor area have been picked up
Measured value: These leaderboards hook on to a frame counter to track how much time has passed

[^measured]: Measured achievement: This achievement has a measured flag. It will show the measurement popup on screen (e.g. 7/12). It will unlock the achievement once the measurement is maxed (e.g. 12/12).

[^triggered]: Triggered achievement: This achievement has a triggered flag. It will show the triggered popup on screen, when all logic/comparisons are met. It will unlock the achievement once the criteria are met for the trigger.

[^silentLeaderboard]: Silent leaderboard: This leaderboard will not show up during gameplay, it will start and submit during the same frame. The reason for this is to reduce the clutter caused by RA overlay and/or the thing to which the leaderboard is hooked on to can be seen through in-game UI/menu's
