The story mode of this game is extremely straightforward, and the action and platforming elements are very simple. I played this for the Roulette 2026 event and had no issue getting to the end of the game. Only the treasure collection achievements required a bit of work, and I've saved my notes here.

There are 14 (technically 15) islands to explore. While sailing, press R to bring up a world map: !(url)

The Prison area is the only one you can't dock at with your ship, but you will return there every time you:

• Lose a ship battle
• Suffer a crew mutiny by running out of food/grog while sailing Ship battles get easier as you pick up more parts, but running out of supplies will be pretty frequent. You can buy more in port, but unless you really don't want to have to sail from the Prison again, I think it's more cost-efficient to just let the mutiny happen and start over. You'll lose 200 gold by being sent to Prison, but there's tons of food and grog in the barrels in the area.

You can win new ship parts by disabling an opposing ship, boarding them, and finding the golden chest aboard. You can also purchase items at Shipyards on each island. There is no static stock at a Shipyard - leaving and re-entering will refresh the parts available to buy.

The only other non-story achievement to collect is "Armoring Up!", unlocked by purchasing the the strongest sword from the Shipyard. If you don't already have it after collecting all the treasures, just sell off all your ship parts and keep purchasing sword upgrades until you get this.

Obtain the Black Steel Cutlass

All stages have at least one golden chest containing either a normal Treasure or a Legendary Treasure (these ones grant stat boosts). All of them are pretty simple to find with basic exploration - jump up to high platforms, jump down through thin floors, sink down into deeper quicksand, etc. However, the chests will not appear until you've purchased the rumor from a Town, usually on some other island. The cost is minimal (25 to 100 gold), so always purchase every available rumor to cut down on backtracking later.

I don't know that there's an ideal path around the islands. Just buy all rumors and pick up any treasures you can access during the course of the story, then sail around to clean things up later (especially once you have better ship parts to handle any random battles you have to deal with).
