2) Introduction

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the third game in The Legend of Zelda series and was released in 1991 in Japan and 1992 in North America and Europe.

A Link to the Past focuses on Link as he journeys to save Hyrule, defeat the dark lord Ganon, and rescue the descendants of the Seven Sages. It returns to a top-down perspective similar to the original The Legend of Zelda, dropping the side-scrolling gameplay of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It introduced series staples such as parallel worlds and items including the Master Sword.

A Link to the Past has a total of 109 Achievements worth 788 points. The achievement set has been created by Retro Achievement developers dude1286, HenrySwanson and AntTanGames, with an excellent revision by suspect15, TheMysticalOne and JAM. The set of achievements are mostly designed to be achievable by the casual player, with the no-damage achievements for the more hardcore players. The game also has multiple leaderboards, including minigames and no-hit runs.

3) Walkthrough

Step 1: Story Achievements

All of the story achievements are not missable, and will come to you over time when beating the game. The guide has sorted them on the chronological order of getting them in-game.

Step 2: Collecting Achievements (2 missable)

This step will lead you through finding every item, upgrades, and every chest in the dungeons and overworld. Every item achievement will also list what the requirements are that you need before you can go out to hunt them, sorted chronologically as much as possible.

This step has two missable achievements:

  • Magical Shield (5) - The Magical Shield needs to be upgraded in the waterfall next to Zora's domain rather than be bought in one of the shops in the Dark World.
  • Hit Hyrule Castle (5) - The Castle becomes inaccessible after having beaten Agahnim in the Castle Tower.

Step 3: Boss Achievements

There are multiple achievements per boss that you fight in this game. Note that once you beat a boss, it will be gone forever and cannot be fought again, therefore making ALL of these achievements missable. It is recommended to copy your save file to the other in-game save slots before finishing a dungeon in case you need multiple attempts.

Step 4: Miscellaneous Achievements (9 missable)

This section covers the miscellaneous achievements that can be done at most points in the game, but do keep in mind that there are a few missables here as well as three achievements that involve you having to skip entire parts of the game for later. If you want to master this game in as few playthroughs as possible, it is important to work around these achievements. I will describe what you need to prepare for in full in Section 4.

This step has nine missable achievements:

4) Tips and tricks (no spoilers)

  • You can technically master the entire set in one playthrough with a lot of save back-ups (see the hint under this one), though I personally wouldn't recommend it as you'll probably not have as much fun actually enjoying the game that way. If you still want to, keep the following do's and don'ts in mind:
    • Do NOT get any bottles before beating the game.
    • Do NOT upgrade the Master Sword to Tempered Sword before having beaten Ganon's Tower.
    • Do NOT beat any Dark World bosses before having beaten the one from Turtle Rock, the seventh dungeon in the Dark World.
    • Do NOT defeat the first boss of the Dark World before having obtained the Light Arrows (requires fifth/sixth dungeon beaten).
  • Remember that the game has a built-in copy feature for save files, for a maximum of 3 slots. This can be especially useful if you want to keep a boss for later due to it being too tough, or if you want to do dungeons in a specific order as you can (kinda) do the Dark World dungeons in a different order than stated.
    • One such example is by getting the item from the dungeon, but not beating the boss yet. This way, you can keep the boss from the first dungeon in the Dark World alive and kill him last for example.
    • Using the save file copy is recommended for the following places:
      • Before heading to the Castle Tower, as you need to defeat Agahnim with the Bug's Net that you can't get on a bottle-less playthrough.
      • Before Turtle Rock. Mothula, Kholdstare, and Trinexx have challenge achievements that are impossible to get without the bottles, be it magic potions or the Good Bee.
  • By visiting the ice cave in the lower-right part of the Light World and charging into the fairy statue in the middle, a bee will fly out. This bee is special as it stays alive for longer, and will attack enemies for you when you store it in a bottle. This also works on bosses, and can in some situations be very effective.
  • After beating the second dungeon in the Dark World, I recommend getting the item from the fourth dungeon in Thieves Town first. That way, you can lift up heavier stones and get a lot of items that will make parts of the game and no-damage bosses easier. For example, you can get your sword tempered and obtain the Magic Cape from the cemetery, which makes you invincible at the cost of magic points. Do keep in mind that both the Magic Cape and Cane of Byrna are NOT allowed for no-damage bosses.
  • When taking damage from a boss, your best option is to use the magic mirror to teleport back to the entrance. Resetting the game will place you at a specific spot on the map, so you'd have to walk all the way back to the dungeon.

Fighter (2)
Obtain the Fighter's Sword and Shield.

Found after finding your uncle in the castle's basement.

Sanctuary (5)
Take the Princess to the safety of Sanctuary.

Rescue the princess from the dungeons in the castle, then bring her to the Sanctuary by going through the escape room behind the throne.

Pendant of Courage (5)
Acquire the Pendant of Courage.

Obtained after defeating the boss of the first dungeon, located in the east side of Hyrule.

Pendant of Power (5)
Acquire the Pendant of Power.

Obtained after defeating the boss of the second dungeon, located in the desert in south-west Hyrule.

Mirror World (5)
Obtain the Magic Mirror.

Obtained after escorting the old man back to Death Mountain.

Pendant of Wisdom (5)
Acquire the Pendant of Wisdom.

Obtained after defeating the boss of the third dungeon, located on Death Mountain north of Hyrule.

The Sword of Masters (5)
Obtain the Master Sword.

Obtained in the north-western part of the forest above Kakariko Village after having all 3 pendants.

Coward! (5)
Have Agahnim transport you to the Dark World.

Beat Agahnim in the castle after obtaining the Master Sword.

Crystal in the Dark (10)
Free the maiden from the Palace of Darkness.

Unlocked after beating the boss of the first dungeon in the Dark World, located on the west side of Hyrule at the same place as the first dungeon in the Light World.

Crystal in the Swamp (10)
Free the maiden from the Swamp Palace.

Unlocked after beating the boss of the second dungeon in the Dark World, located south of Link's house.

Crystal in the Woods (10)
Free the maiden from the Skull Woods.

Unlocked after beating the boss of the third dungeon in the Dark World, located in the forest north of Thieves' Town.

Crystal in the Statue (10)
Free the maiden from Thieves' Town.

Unlocked after beating the boss of the fourth dungeon in the Dark World, located in the statue in Thieves' Town. Open this dungeon by holding it and pulling back.

Crystal in the Ice (10)
Free the maiden from the Ice Palace.

Unlocked after beating the boss of the fifth dungeon in the Dark World, located in the water in south-east Hyrule. Gain access to it by lifting the black stone on the island in the Light World.

Crystal in the Mire (10)
Free the maiden from Misery Mire.

Unlocked after beating the boss of the sixth dungeon in the Dark World, located in the swamp in south-west Hyrule. Gain access to it by using the Flute in the Light World to fly to the Desert, then lift a black stone. Note that the Ether Medallion is required to access the dungeon.

Crystal in the Rock (10)
Free the maiden from Turtle Rock.

Unlocked after beating the boss of the seventh dungeon in the Dark World, located on the north-western side of Death Mountain. In the Light World, use the hammer to solve the memory puzzle (right, up, left), then use the Quake Medallion to open the dungeon.

True Culprit (5)
Discover the true entity behind the maidens' capture.

Unlocked after beating the boss of the eight dungeon in the Dark World, located on Death Mountain at the same place as the third dungeon in the Light World. Note that you have to beat every Dark World dungeon to access it.

The Golden Age (25)
Return the Golden Land to its former glory.

Unlocked after beating the final boss of the game, located at the pyramid in central Dark World. Note that the Silver Arrows are required to beat this boss, obtained from throwing the bow in the fountain also located at the pyramid. Go to Link's house in the Dark World to get a big bomb, and use that to bomb the suspicious wall at the pyramid.

Step 2: Collecting achievements (2 missable) | Total points: 256

Illuminating (2)
Obtain the Lamp.

Requirements: Get out of bed.

This item is found immediately at the start of the game after getting out of bed by opening the chest in Link's House.

Bombs (4)
Acquire some Bombs.

Requirements: Escort Zelda to the Sanctuary.

You will come across bombs very often in the game, so you don't have to worry about this achievement. The earliest you can find them is by dropping in the cave in Kakariko Village.

Bug Catcher (5)
Obtain the Bug Catching Net.

Requirements: Escort Zelda to the Sanctuary.

You can obtain this item from the sick boy laying in his bed in Kakariko Village.

Bottle (5)
Acquire a Magic Bottle.

Requirements: Escort Zelda to the Sanctuary.

You can obtain a bottle at multiple places, but the easiest one is by buying it from the bottle seller in Kakariko Village or finding it in the inn. For all 4 locations, refer to the All Your Bottles Belong to Us achievement.

Magic Powder (5)
Obtain the Magic Powder from the witch's apprentice.

Requirements: Escort Zelda to the Sanctuary.

Find the mushroom in the Lost Woods north of Kakariko Village, and bring this to the witch in north-east Hyrule. Come back at a later time to pick this item up inside the witch's hut.

Icy (5)
Obtain the Ice Rod.

Requirements: Escort Zelda to the Sanctuary and have access to bombs.

Go to south-east Hyrule and find a cave with a destructible entrance right next to it. Use the bombs on this entrance and make your way inside to obtain the Ice Rod.

All Quiet on the Eastern Front (3)
Open all treasure chests in the Eastern Palace.

Map

There are a total of 5 Treasure Chests to be found in the Eastern Palace:

  1. 100 Rupees - In the room with the big rolling ball, go left at the end and walk down to go up the stairs.
  2. Map - After the room with the big rolling ball, go right. Take the northern door here, lift the middle barrel, and go down for the chest.
  3. Compass - On the mandatory road, after the room with the skeleton corpses on the ground.
  4. Big Key - Mandatory. Lift the barrel surrounded by four Anti-Fairies in the room with the empty blue platform.
  5. Bow - Mandatory. In the big room in the middle after having obtained the Big Key.
Book of Prayer (5)
Obtain the Book of Mudora.

Requirements: Beat the first dungeon and obtain the Pegasus Boots from Sahasrahla.

You can obtain this book from the library south of Kakariko Village. Use the Pegasus Boots to charge into the bookcase with the book on top.

Despoiled the Desert (3)
Open all treasure chests in the Desert Palace.

Map

There are a total of 4 Treasure Chests to be found in the Desert Palace, all in the first half:

  1. Map - In the northern-most room. Lift the barrel behind the two unlit torches to reveal a switch.
  2. Compass - On the mandatory road, on the right side behind a key-locked door.
  3. Big Key - Mandatory. North of the compass.
  4. Power Glove - Mandatory. Located in the most north-western room.
Overpriced Merchandise (5)
Obtain Zora's Flippers.

Requirements: Beat the second dungeon and have 500 rupees with you.

Go to north-east Hyrule and access the Zora's Domain. Make your way to the end of the shallow water and approach the waterfall where the Zora king is waiting.

The Magic of the Boom (5)
Obtain the Magical Boomerang.

Requirements: Beat the second dungeon and obtain the Zora's Flippers.

Right outside the Zora's Domain, swim into the waterfall. There is a fountain inside, where you can throw your boomerang into.

Magical Shield [m] (5)
Upgrade the Fighter's Shield to the Red Shield without buying it.

Requirements: Beat the second dungeon and obtain the Zora's Flippers.

Right outside the Zora's Domain, swim into the waterfall. There is a fountain inside, where you can throw your shield into.

Ready to Blow! (10)
Increase your maximum bomb capacity to 50.

Requirements: Have access to the Zora's Flippers and at least 700 rupees.

This can be done at any given point in the game after obtained the Zora's Flippers. Go to the Pond of Happiness in the waters in the south-east of Hyrule, and keep throwing in rupees till a fairy comes out and asks you to increase your bomb- or arrow capacity.

Full Quiver (10)
Increase your maximum arrow capacity to 70.

Requirements: Have access to the Zora's Flippers and at least 700 rupees.

This can be done at any given point in the game after obtained the Zora's Flippers. Go to the Pond of Happiness in the waters in the south-east of Hyrule, and keep throwing in rupees till a fairy comes out and asks you to increase your bomb- or arrow capacity.

Hera's Treasure (3)
Open all treasure chests in the Tower of Hera.

Map

There are a total of 4 Treasure Chests to be found in the Tower of Hera:

  1. Map - Found when walking straight north after the entrance and toggling the switches.
  2. Big Key - Mandatory. Take the locked door to the left of the map chest and proceed.
  3. Compass - On the mandatory road. South of the big chest.
  4. Moon Pearl - Mandatory. Fall down from the floor above the big chests by making the floor appear north in the middle.
Thunderstruck (5)
Obtain the Ether Medallion.

Requirements: Have the Book of Mudora and the Master Sword.

After having the requirements, climb Death Mountain again and cross the bridge west of the third dungeon. Use the Book of Mudora in front of the statue.

Castle Caper [m] (5)
Open all treasure chests in Hyrule Castle and its sewers.

Maps

There are a total of 10 Treasure Chests to be found in the Hyrule Castle. Note that this is done over multiple visits. This guide does not include the Lantern, which I'm not sure is part of the achievement, but is essentially mandatory so you are unlikely to have misses this. If you did, then it can be found south of where you found your dying uncle who gave you the sword and shield. Note that after having beaten the Castle Tower, the Castle becomes inaccessible.

Hyrule Castle: 3 chests

  1. Map - On the mandatory road. Walk all around to the back of the castle and go downstairs to find the chest.
  2. Boomerang - On the mandatory road. Keep making progress beyond the map chest and you'll eventually find it in a room that also has a knight with a key necessary to proceed.
  3. Blue Rupee - In the same cell where Princess Zelda is kept hostage.

Sanctuary/Secret Passage: 5 chests

  1. Key - Mandatory. South to the right of the first locked door you come across in the secret passage.
  2. Heart Container - In the main hall of the Sanctuary where you arrive with Princess Zelda.
  3. Bombs - Can only be done after having obtained Bombs and the Power Glove. At the graveyard right of the sanctuary, lift the gray rocks blocking a grave and push the grave to reveal a hole. Fall down here and bomb one of the walls on the left.
  4. 300 Rupees - See chest 3.
  5. 10 Arrows - See chest 3.

Castle Tower: 2 chests

  1. Key - Mandatory. In the third room from the entrance with a locked door, defeat the two knights to have a chest appear.
  2. Key - Mandatory. In the big dark maze, all the way on the left.
Fault Line (5)
Obtain the Quake Medallion.

Requirements: Make your way to the Dark World.

Go to north-east Hyrule where the entrance to the Zora's Domain used to be. Throw a random rock in the middle of the rock formation in the water, and the medallion will be thrown out.

Plundered the Palace (5)
Open all treasure chests in the Palace of Darkness.

Maps

There are a total of 13 Treasure Chests to be found in the Palace of Darkness. At least 2 bombs are required to get everything in this dungeon.

  1. Key - Take the left path from the entrance and proceed downstairs. Lift the barrel for a switch in the bottom-left.
  2. Map - Take the right path from the entrance and proceed until you arrive at a chest on a green floor.
  3. Key - Bombs needed. Bomb the wall to the left of the map chest.
  4. Key - Take the middle path and then fall down, either by pushing the block on the right path or bombing the floor on the left path. Hit a switch to the right of the green floor to make it appear.
  5. Big Key - Mandatory. Bombs and one key needed. Bomb the cracked floor mentioned at chest 4 and fall down here. Unlock the door and go upstairs for the chest.
  6. Key - Take the right path mentioned at chest 4 where you can fall down and leave through the north entrance for this chest.
  7. Bombs - In the dark maze room to the left of the collapsing floor room. Located in the north-west.
  8. Key - In the dark maze room to the left op the collapsing floor room. Located in the south-east.
  9. Hammer - Mandatory. Bomb the wall north of chest 8 to reach the platform with the big chest.
  10. Compass - In the room to the right of the collapsing floor room.
  11. Arrows - Go downstairs in the room with chest 10 to find a dark room with blue rupees. This chest is in the south-west.
  12. Key - Go downstairs in the room with chest 10 to find a dark room with blue rupees. This chest is in the south-east.
  13. Blue Rupee - In the room south of chest 10. Lift a skull on the left to reach it.
Ring of Fire (5)
Obtain the Bombos Medallion.

Requirements: Have the Book of Mudora and beat the first dungeon in the Dark World.

After having the requirements, go to where normally the entrance would be to the desert in the Dark World. Go west the furthest you can, then use the Magic Mirror to teleport back to the Light World. Use the Book of Mudora in front of the statue.

Bird is the Word (5)
Free the bird from the center of Kakariko village.

Requirements: Beat the first dungeon in the Dark World.

First, go to the small forest clearing west of Link's House in the Dark World, where you will find a transformed flute player sitting on a trunk. He will give you a shovel, which you can use to dig up the flute in the Light World in the north-western flowerbed. Go back to the Dark World and play the flute song for the transformer flute player, then go to Kakariko Village in the Light World and play the flute in front of the statue with the bird.

Cursed Magic (5)
Obtain the magic enhancement.

Requirements: Obtain the Magic Powder and beat the first dungeon in the Dark World.

Go to the smithies' house in the Light World and use your hammer to gain access to the dropdown. In this cave, use your Magic Powder on the green monument to get cursed apparently.

Drained the Swamp (5)
Open all treasure chests in the Swamp Palace.

Maps

There are a total of 9 Treasure Chests to be found in the Swamp Palace. At least 1 bomb is required to get everything in this dungeon.

  1. Key - Mandatory. At the entrance, beat the three water skaters to make a chest appear.
  2. Map - Go downstairs after chest 1 and bomb the wall right next to you to reach the map.
  3. Compass - South of the room with the big chest. Make your way around and push the bottom block to the right for it to appear.
  4. Red Rupee - Go all the way to the left of the big chest. Once you head upstairs, fall down in the north-west hole for this chest.
  5. Big Key - Mandatory. Go all the way to the left of the big chest. Once you head upstairs, fall down in the north-west hole for this chest.
  6. Hookshot - Mandatory. The big chest is in the big central room in the middle connecting every other room.
  7. Red Rupee - North of the big chest, drag the left statue to the top on a switch to open two rooms. Go through the second-right one first to lower the water level, then take either the left or right-most room to find two chests next to each other.
  8. Red Rupee - See chest 7.
  9. Red Rupee - On the mandatory road. In the room with the many waterfalls and blocks in the middle, push the third one from the left to reveal a chest. If you are missing a chest in this dungeon, it is very likely this one.
Deforestation (5)
Open all treasure chests in Skull Woods.

Maps

There are a total of 7 Treasure Chests to be found in the Skull Woods. The first 6 chests are in the first half, the last chest in the second half requiring the Fire Rod.

  1. Compass - Fall down the hole south-west of the "normal" entrance, then go one room right to find the chest.
  2. Key - Go north of the room with chest 1 to find this chest.
  3. Key - Fall down the hole south-east of the "normal" entrance, or go one room right of the room with chest 1. The chest is in the middle of the room.
  4. Map - North of the room with chest 3. You can either hookshot to it or fall down the hole in the bushes north of the "normal" entrance to switch the bottomless holes around.
  5. Big Key - Mandatory. Find the other entrance by going north-west of the "normal" entrance, then drag the right statue on the switch in the middle blocking a door. Go through it for the big key chest.
  6. Fire Rod - Mandatory. Fall down the hole in the bushes north of the "normal" entrance, then go left and pull the switch to open the path to the treasure.
  7. Key - In the first room of the second half of the dungeon, go down the stairs and make your way to the north, go to the right room, then to the south and left room.
Robbed 'em Blind (5)
Open all treasure chests in Thieves' Town.

Maps

Map Link

There are a total of 7 Treasure Chests to be found in Thieves' Town:

  1. Map - From the entrance, go down the stairs and walk a bit to the north to find the chest.
  2. Red Rupee - Go north of the room with chest 1 and go upstairs to find the chest near the middle of the room.
  3. Compass - In the room with chest 2, go to the room to the right and then the room down. The chest is upstairs near the middle of the room.
  4. Big Key - Mandatory. In the room with chest 3, go downstairs and the go to the room to the left to find this chest.
  5. Rupees - Found in the same room where you bomb the floor to bring light into the boss room, which is mandatory to do.
  6. Key - In the same cell where you rescue the girl, which is mandatory to do.
  7. Titan's Mitt - Mandatory. From the room with chest 6, go all the way to the left until you find a room with the big chest.
The Swordsmith's Brother (5)
Obtain the Tempered Sword.

Requirements: Beat the fourth dungeon in the Dark World.

After beating the fourth dungeon, find a frog-like being south of Thieves' Town in the Dark World. Escort him to the smithies' house in the Light World, then exit and enter again and ask them to temper your sword. Come back in a few minutes to pick it up again.

All Your Bottles Belong to Us (10)
Obtain all four Magic Bottles.

Requirements: Beat the fourth dungeon in the Dark World and escort the smithy back to his place.

  1. Buy a bottle from the bottle seller in Kakariko Village.
  2. Found inside a chest in the back of the inn in Kakariko Village.
  3. Swim underneath the bridge east of Link's House in the Light World to find a camping man who gives you the bottle.
  4. After escorting the smithy back to his place (see The Swordsmith's Brother achievement), go back to the Dark World and walk up to the chest inside the Swordsmith's house. Bring this chest to the entrance of the desert in the Light World to a guy standing next to a sign, who will open the chest for you.
You Can't See Me (5)
Obtain the Magic Cape.

Requirements: Beat the fourth dungeon in the Dark World.

Go to the cemetery in the Light World and remove the black stones from the north-eastern grave. Then, charge into the grave with your Pegasus Boots to discover the entrance to where the Magic Cape is hidden.

Sorcerer's Protection (5)
Obtain the Cane of Byrna.

Requirements: Access to the Dark World, though the Magic Cape and one Magic Potion are strongly recommended.

Make your way up Death Mountain and go to the teleporter that first brought you to the Dark World. Drop down a ledge to gain access to a cave covered in spikes. Use the Magic Cape to avoid taking damage.

Deiced the Palace (5)
Open all treasure chests in the Ice Palace.

Maps

There are a total of 7 Treasure Chests to be found in the Ice Palace:

  1. Compass - In the room where you can only enter one direction by pushing the blocks, go south and kill every enemy here to make a chest appear.
  2. Bombs - Once you reach another four-way room, go left for a slippery room and then downstairs. Kill the two Freezors for a chest.
  3. Key - Drop down in the room with chest 2, then continue your path. Coming across this chest naturally happens in the same room where you are forced to go upstairs.
  4. Key - Proceed onwards and open the locked door on your path, then in the big slippery room take the north-eastern door and proceed. Once you go up the stairs, the chest is south of you.
  5. Map - Go over the spikes in the same room as chest 4, head upstairs and the chest will appear when you step on the switch by lifting a barrel south of the statue with the tongue.
  6. Big Key - Open the door in the room with chest 5, then head upstairs to find the chest.
  7. Blue Mail - In the same room as chest 2, bomb the floor left of it to create a new hole. Fall down here to reach the big chest.
Mined the Mire (5)
Open all treasure chests in Misery Mire.

Maps

There are a total of 7 Treasure Chests to be found in Misery Mire:

  1. Key - In the room where a block is blocking the path to the door, push it aside and proceed to reach this chest.
  2. Key - To the room right of the room with the block blocking the path to a door, lift the barrel in bottom-right on the spikes to hit a switch and reveal the chest.
  3. Map - This chest is south of the room with chest 2 once the blue switches are down, or by using a key on the north-east door in the main central room.
  4. Key - Upstairs in the main central room, reachable for example by going to the room with a block blocking the path to a door and then to the left.
  5. Compass - In the room with the flying tiles, light the four torches and go up. Be sure to have the blue switches down (room before the flying tiles).
  6. Big Key - Mandatory. Go south from the room with the flying tiles and continue your path.
  7. Cane of Somaria - Mandatory. In the central room, take the south-eastern door all the way to the right and then make your way across a crumbling floor to reach it.
Golden Wish (10)
Obtain the Golden Sword.

Requirements: Beat the Fifth and Sixth dungeon, and have the Tempered Sword.

Buy a big bomb from Link's House in the Dark World, then make your way to the pyramid and bomb the cracked wall. Throw your sword in the fountain located inside.

Tanked the Turtle (5)

Maps

There are a total of 11 Treasure Chests to be found in Turtle Rock:

  1. Compass - In the big room north of the entrance, take the south-western door to reach this chest.
  2. Key - In the big room north of the entrance, take the north-eastern door to a fire rod puzzle room. Solve it, and find two chests in the room beyond.
  3. Map - See chest 2.
  4. Key - In the big room north of the entrance, take the north-western locked door and go two rooms north. Press the south-western block to the right to unveil a chest.
  5. Big Key - Mandatory. In the middle of the room with a large lava pit and a pipe puzzle.
  6. Mirror Shield - Mandatory. Go all the way south from the lava room, then to the left to exit the dungeon and enter it from the right again to reach the chest.
  7. Key - Move deeper into the dungeon until you reach a locked door. Toggle the switch and open the chest.
  8. Green Rupee - Once you proceed further and see another locked door, go south to reach a room with four chests.
  9. Blue Rupee - See chest 8.
  10. Red Rupee - See chest 8.
  11. Key - See chest 8.
Boarglary (10)
Open all treasure chests in Ganon's Tower.

Maps

There are a total of 26 Treasure Chests to be found in Ganon's Tower. The last 3 of them are found beyond the Big Key door.

  1. 10 Arrows - From the main entrance, take the right staircase down to find two chests.
  2. Bombs - See chest 1.
  3. Key - Go one room to the right from the previous room and avoid/slash all the flying tiles until a chest appears.
  4. Compass - Continue one more room to the right and then all the way south until you reach a room with a switch puzzle. Solve it by throwing bombs to right conveyor belt, then reach a room with four chests.
  5. Green Rupee - See chest 4.
  6. Red Rupee - See chest 4.
  7. 10 Arrows - See chest 4.
  8. Red Rupee - From the main entrance, take the left staircase and move as fair left as you can. Once you reach the hookshot puzzle room, take the north door for four chests.
  9. Red Rupee - See chest 8.
  10. Bombs - See chest 8.
  11. 10 Arrows - See chest 8.
  12. Map - In the hookshot room, make your way south to the switches and then open the locked door to reach the map chest.
  13. Key - Move onwards until you reach a block maze. Move the odd block in the middle row on the far left to toggle a chest to appear that you can hookshot towards.
  14. Bombs - Take the teleporters until you reach the left part of the main room with a breakable wall. Destroy it with a bomb, then walk on the floor until the wall opens, revealing four chests.
  15. Bombs - See chest 14.
  16. 10 Arrows - See chest 14.
  17. 10 Arrows - See chest 14.
  18. 10 Arrows - When you reach the massive room with a seemingly big black pit, light the torch to reveal a path and make your way across. Lift the skull here to gain access to a chest.
  19. Big Key - In the same room as chest 18, bomb the floor and fall down for an Armos Knights boss battle. Defeat it and open the door for three chests.
  20. 10 Arrows - See chest 19.
  21. Bombs - See chest 19.
  22. Red Mail - Climb up the room next to the Armos Knights boss battle, then open the Big Chest.
  23. Bombs - On the mandatory path. You will find two chests shortly before fighting Moldorm again.
  24. Bombs - See chest 23.
  25. Key - On the mandatory path. You will find this chest shortly before fighting Moldorm again, in the room with the switches.
  26. Red Rupee - You will find this chest after defeating Moldorm. Hookshot towards it after the battle is over.
Ferdinand Magellink (10)
Obtain all maps and compasses.

Every dungeon, including Hyrule Castle, has a map and compass. All achievements have their locations listed, so just check what dungeon you have not completed yet from the achievement list and look there if you are missing one.

Lightened the Load (10)
Open all treasure chests in the Light World (excluding dungeons).

Maps

There are a total of 35 Treasure Chests to be found in the Light World. Getting all of the chests should be possible after having obtained the Titan's Mitt.

Maps

There are a total of 15 Treasure Chests to be found in the Dark World. Getting all of the chests should be possible after having obtained the Titan's Mitt.

I will probably go in more detail later, but for now, here are the broad locations:

  • Misery Mire: 2 Treasure Chests

Rupee Hoarder (5)
Have 999 rupees.

This will come to you over time if you explore everything dungeons and caves have to offer, as there are way too many rupees in the game. But if you still have trouble for whatever reason, you can play one of the many minigames, such as the gambling shop or the shooting gallery. If the result is not favourable, just reset the game.

Love the Past (25)
Have all 20 Heart Containers.

Requirements: Beat all dungeons.

There are a total of 24 Heart Pieces to be found, making for a total of 6 complete hearts. I would list where you can find them but I'm lazy so instead, have this link to the Zelda Dungeon wikipedia.

Link Builds a Treasure Hoard (10)
Obtain all key items, equipment, and their upgrades.

Requirements: Beat all dungeons.

All of the individual key items and upgrades have been listed above as their own achievement, so make sure you have them all and this achievement should be yours. If you are missing something, check your item screen for empty spots, or the upgrades in the bottom-right.

Step 3: Boss achievements | Total points: 240

Toying with the Red Knight (5)
Kill the Red Armos Knight of the Eastern Palace using only the boomerang and collect the Pendant of Courage.

Kill five of the six Armos Knights with arrows. You should be able to do this damageless by remaining in the south-east or south-west corner and just keep shooting. When the final one becomes red, damage it only with your boomerang to kill it. Just stand south of it and spam the boomerang as it is unable to come closer to you. It will take a lot of hits from the boomerang, so just keep spamming it.

Bested Armos Knights (10)
Defeat all the Armos Knights in the Eastern Palace without being harmed.

-=MISSABLE=-

Recommendations: None. They can be harmed with a sword, but the arrows are definitely the better option here.

The Armos Knights most likely won't give you too much trouble. Just stay in one corner (I prefer south-east) and keep shooting arrows till only one Armos Knight remains. Every Armos Knight dies within 3 arrows, so use that to your advantage. The final Armos Knight will jump around and try to hit you from above, but this shouldn't be too much trouble if you keep walking around away from his landing position.

Worm Kebabs (10)
Kill the Lanmolas of the Desert Palace dealing all damage with arrows, then collect the Pendant of Power

It takes four arrows to kill each Lanmolas, meaning that you need at the very least 12 arrows to subdue them all. It's important in this boss fight to keep your distance and aim correctly, as you can only shoot one arrow at a time and only the head will take damage, meaning the hitbox isn't as big as you might think. If you have aiming troubles, stay near the south wall and stand underneath a hole where a Lanmolas comes out. If it goes south, that's an easy hit. Trying to shoot 3 arrows through every Lanmolas and then finishing them off one by one may be a preferred method due to the final one spitting out eight rocks when resurfacing rather than four.

Bested Lanmolas (10)
Defeat all three Lanmolas in the Desert Palace without being harmed.

Recommendations: Ice Rod.

Surprisingly one of the tougher bosses to no-damage since there isn't really an easy strategy, and I unfortunately don't have a lot of advice to give here either. The Ice Rod is a recommendation, but it won't necessarily save you--it will just do a bit more damage than your sword. The best advice I can give is to wait for the final Lanmolas to pop out and try to hit that one. The rocks they shoot out always go diagonally so take your time and be extra careful. Do keep in kind however, that the final undefeated Lanmolas will shoot out in eight directions. I definitely recommend keeping the Ice Rod for the final one to get rid of it easier. Patience really is key here, and should be your main priority.

Gone in 20 Seconds (10)
Defeat Moldorm in the Tower of Hera within 20 seconds. (Must have Fighter Sword, May Not Have Hammer)

-=MISSABLE=-

This is relatively tough and not advised to combine with the no-damage achievement, as you have practically no time to miss attacks and play it safe. The time will start running once you enter the arena, with a trigger and leaderboard time being available. Just fall down and retry if you are close to or surpass the 20 seconds. To gain an advantage, get Moldorm to roam near the entrance of the arena and slash with your sword when entering for a free quick hit. After that, observe what direction he goes into and go to the opposite side, then slash the tail once his full body starts moving. It is recommended to charge your sword to prevent easily falling down or taking damage. Once he starts moving quick and you are not in a good position, use the Pegasus Boots as that goes right through him, and then just slash for that final hit.

Bested Moldorm (10)
Defeat Moldorm in the Tower of Hera without being harmed.

Recommendations: None

I unfortunately don't have much advice for Moldorm. The good thing about him is that he can't hurt you as long as you are charging your sword. The problem here isn't taking damage however, but falling down. Fortunately, falling down also means an easy reset, so you can try this boss over and over again. He definitely is an annoying boss, but he shouldn't really hurt you, so the achievement should be pretty easy to unlock. If the boss still gives you trouble, you can try pause buffering him by constantly opening and closing the menu until he is in a good position to strike.

You Really Bug Me Out (5)
Defeat Agahnim in Hyrule Castle Tower without unsheathing your sword.

As the achievement icon and title hint at, you can only use the Bug Catching Net to reflect Agahnim's hits. Since the damage returned is always the same, this boss battle follows the exact same pattern as described in the no-damage achievement, and can very well be combined together. Do keep in mind that the Bug Net is slightly slower than the Master Sword.

Bested Agahnim (10)
Defeat Agahnim in Hyrule Castle without being harmed.

Recommendations: None.

The worst part about Agahnim? Having to go through that entire dungeon again if you mess up. Joking aside, Agahnim isn't too bad of a boss. He has three different attacks, of which one is very easily predictable- and avoidable. Whenever he goes to the most northern-middle spot and does not follow you around the room, he will use a lightning attack that can be avoided by going to the left or right wall. The other two aren't as easily identifiable, but shouldn't pose too much trouble either. The red shot can be reflected with the sword (or bug net) right at Agahnim, and it's recommended to stand straight across him to make sure it hits. The other attack is a bit trickier, as it is a blue circle that goes into 6 directions upon hitting a sword or a wall. You can hit it and hope the shield protects you if one of the directions is towards you, but I personally found that to be a bit too RNG-heavy for my liking. Avoiding the blue circle is definitely my preferred option. Keep this up for a bit and Agahnim is down.

Mallet and Skewer (10)
Crack the Helmasaur's face Shield using only the hammer, then deal the rest of the damage with a silver arrow.

-=MISSABLE=-

Due to the necessity of the silver arrows, this achievement can not be attempted before having beaten the Ice Palace and Misery Mire, so get the hammer and leave the dungeon for later. You'll first have to deal with his face shield, which takes a total of 16 hammer hits. Once that is down, shoot one silver arrow and it's dead. Due to the first phase being more predictable/easier to avoid attacks due to him moving around slower, it may be favourable combining this achievement with the no-damage achievement.

Bested Helmasaur King (10)
Defeat Helmasaur King without being harmed without using the Magic Cape or Cane of Byrna.

Recommendations: Bombs. If you're keeping this boss for later, you can also bring an Upgraded Sword or the Light Arrows

The Helmasaur King is an interesting boss: he's not too difficult, but you have to be careful at all times. I recommend getting rid of the shield by dropping/throwing bombs (I prefer the former), as his movements are pretty predictable. It only takes 4 bombs to get rid of the shield, while it takes 16 hammer hits. The Helmasaur King only has two attacks to worry about: the first is where he spits out a fireball, that turns into three fireballs that implode diagonally. For this attack, it's best to go to the wall that's farthest away so you can easily dodge them. The other is his tail attack, indicated by when the tail starts moving faster. This is actually easily avoidable by standing directly in front of him. The only thing you need to be careful about here, especially in his second phase, is that he starts moving again right after the tail attack ends. If he runs into you, that obviously counts as damage. You can also avoid this by going to the wall that's farthest away, but I find standing in front of him easier.

I Only Have Ice For You (5)
Defeat Arrghus's final phase dealing damage only with the Ice Rod then rescue the maiden.

Defeat the first phase as you would do normally: stand on either the left- or right side of Arrghus, hookshot his puffs and slash at them. Once all are gone, he will jump and move around the room diagonally. Use the Ice Rod to deal damage four times, and the boss fight is over. This achievement can very well be combined with the no-damage achievement and shouldn't pose too much trouble.

Bested Arrghus (10)
Defeat Arrghus without being harmed without using the Magic Cape or Cane of Byrna.

Recommendations: None

Arrghus is a really easy boss, but you still have to be careful. ONLY Hookshot the minions off of him from the left- or right side, as doing it from above or below him has the chance for the minions to go too far into your sprite, damaging you when they're travelling back. When he does his swirl attack, go to the exact opposite of the room as he can't reach you. When all of the minions are gone, charge up your sword and keep walking around to make sure he doesn't land on you. Arrghus only moves diagonally, so that should make his movements predictable. 4 charged sword attacks should end him for good.

Oprah's Dramatic Gift Reveal (10)
Finish off Mothula with bees and then rescue the maiden.

-=MISSABLE=-

It is recommended to keep this boss until you have obtained the Tempered Sword (not Golden Sword), but you can also do it with the Fire Rod. Hit it about three times with the tempered sword or five times with the Fire Rod, then let the Good Bee do the remainder of the work. Can very well be combined with the no-damage achievement.

Bested Mothula (10)
Defeat Mothula without being harmed without using the Magic Cape or Cane of Byrna.

-=MISSABLE=-

Recommendations: Good Bee, Tempered Sword (NOT THE GOLDEN SWORD, THIS IS BUGGED).

Mothula is a tough boss, so it is recommended to use both your sword- and Fire Rod and alternate between the two depending on how safe you have you play it. Mothula uses his beam attack every two-three seconds, so the only time you should go in for a sword attack is right after the attack happened. After the sword attack, keep your distance and use the Fire Rod until he repeats the pattern. Remaining near the middle of the screen is always favourable due to the spikes from the sides moving slowly towards the opposite side of the screen. They do a little nudge before moving, so pause buffering may be something to consider if the boss gives you too much trouble.

Cane You See Me Now? (10)
Defeat Blind using only the Cane of Somaria then rescue the maiden.

-=MISSABLE=-

This cannot be done before progress has been made in Misery Mire, so keep that in mind before attempting this achievement. No matter the weapon, Blind will always need nine hits to be defeated, and this also applies to the Cane of Somaria. Put a block somewhere while you are on the opposite side of him, and when he is in good range, press the item button again to have the block explode. Depending on your skill with the Cane, this may be a very viable way to do the no-damage achievement as well. The Cane of Somaria doesn't consume a lot of magic so potions are not needed, but having your magic meter halved by the Mad Batter is recommended.

Bested Blind (10)
Defeat Blind without being harmed without using the Magic Cape or Cane of Byrna.

Recommendations: Good Bee, 1-2 Magic Potions if using the Cane of Somaria

Blind is a very chaotic boss and should be approached carefully. While the Good Bee is not a necessity, it can give you a bit more breathing space. Every phase takes three hits no matter what weapon you use, and after every phase an extra head flies through the screen shooting beams at you which, mind you, Blind with the cloth on is able to do as well. The other heads are definitely the most dangerous aspect though, so only go in for sword slashes when they are far enough away while also being able to dodge clothed Blind's laser. The Cane of Somaria may be a very viable option due to being able to keep your distance at all times.

Kholdstare into the Flames (10)
Defeat Kholdstare in the Ice Palace using only the Fire Rod to damage it then rescue the maiden.

Recommendations: at least one Magic potion, Magic Meter halved by Mad Batter

You will absolutely need to bring at least one, preferably two Magic Potions before attempting this achievement. Getting rid of Kholdstare's shield will already require the entire magic bar from the Fire Rod, let alone the three eyes moving around after the shield is gone. Fortunately the Fire Rod does good damage against the eyes moving around so this shouldn't take too much effort, just remember that there is an ice ball falling every two-three seconds that you need to dodge.

Bested Kholdstare (10)
Defeat Kholdstare without being harmed without using the Magic Cape or Cane of Byrna.

Recommendations: Bombos Medallion, Fire Rod, 1-2 Magic Potions

Upon entrance, use the Bombos Medallion immediately to get rid of Kholdstare's ice armour (unless you are also going for the boss challenge achievement, then just use the Fire Rod). From there, it really is up to you on how you want to beat him as Kholdstare isn't too difficult--you just need to beware of the falling ice every two-three seconds that fortunately is easy to dodge by just walking slightly diagonally. You can use the Fire Rod to do massive damage to the eyes, so be sure to do so. It will always double damage than the tempered sword, and you can keep your distance. The sword is preferable if they get close however, just to bump them back a bit.

A Bomb for Sore Eyes, An Arrow for the Star Pupil (10)
Defeat Vitreous's little eyes by damaging them only with bombs, kill the big eye with only arrows, then rescue the maiden.

Recommendations: Having upgraded the Bomb Capacity to AT LEAST 40

Lay- or throw bombs just slightly in front of Vitreous for the most effective damage and when the big eye starts popping out, move to either wall furthest away from you to dodge the lightning attack. I found throwing them more favourable than laying them. The Bombs don't do a lot of damage, so you really do need as many as you can. Repeat this until all the eyes are gone, after which the big eye will pop out. Just keep standing south of it and spam arrows as it will be unable to do anything.

Bested Vitreous (10)
Defeat Vitreous without being harmed without using the Magic Cape or Cane of Byrna.

Recommendations: Tempered Sword, Arrows

The tempered sword will be your best friend unless you are also going for the boss-specific challenge to use bombs. If the latter, use the strategy described there. If not, stay in front of Vitreous and keep slashing at the little eyes. Once the big eye starts popping out, move to one of the walls currently furthest away from you and you should be able to avoid damage consistently. Do watch out for the little eyes that may come out at that specific time however; safety is more important than a quick kill. Once all the little eyes are defeated, stand south of the big eye and just keep spamming arrows as he will be unable to attack/come closer to you.

Elemental Master: Ice, Fire, and... Hammer? (10)
Completely destroy the Trinexx's Fire Head with the Ice Rod, then completely destroy the Ice Head with the Fire Rod, then Hammer the snake to death.

Recommendations: At least two Magic Potions and your Magic Meter halved by the Mad Batter

This is a very magic-expensive achievement, so be sure to bring as many Magic Potions as you can. The elemental rods are a necessity to stun the heads, but they also deal damage even when they are stunned. Important to keep in mind is that you have to deal with the Fire Head first before ever doing damage to the Ice Head. Once both heads are gone, the snake will go around the room in a specific pattern, so use the hammer on the middle part 5 times for it to die.

Bested Trinexx (10)
Defeat Trinexx without being harmed without using the Magic Cape or Cane of Byrna.

Recommendations: Golden Sword, 1-2 Magic Potions, Fire and Ice rod

This boss might look menacing, but it's not that bad. What you want to do first is getting rid of the ice head on the right. The head movements may be confusing at first, but if you have the Golden Sword you only need to hit it 3 times. You can hit 2-3 times per stun with the rod. If you do this flawlessly, you should be able to kill it before the main body attacks but if not, just back off for a bit as his only attack is very predictable: the head will lunge at you when the tail starts moving faster. This attack won't hit you if you keep walking in a straight line. After taking care of the ice head, repeat the same for the fire head. Once those are down, the snake will move around in a predictable pattern. Take large circles around it and when it moves slow preparing to turn around, go it for the hit. With the Golden Sword, this should only take 3 hits in total.

Bringing a Hammer to a Magic Fight (10)
Defeated Agahnim in Ganon's Tower without using a sword or bug net.

-=MISSABLE=-

The title of the achievement already hints at it, but you can only return Agahnim's magic by hitting it with a hammer. The hammer works the exact same as the Master Sword in this battle, so just keep reflecting magic until he inevitably dies. There are a total of three Agahnim's with only one being vulnerable so watch out for other attacks, though he is unable to use the lightning attack in this battle. Keep in mind that the hammer is slower than both the Master Sword and Bug Net, so be wary of your timing. Agahnim only does one heart of damage with the Red Mail, so you do have a lot of breathing room for this one.

Bested Ganon (25)
Defeat Ganon without being harmed without using the Magic Cape or Cane of Byrna.

Recommendations: Golden Sword, 1 Full Heal Potion (for resets)

Ganon can only be damaged with either the Tempered or Golden Sword during his first few phases, as no other weapons have any effect. This means there is no safe way to play by keeping your distance, and instead I recommend going ham on him as soon as you fall down the hole. If you keep slashing him as much as you can, he will only use the trident throw attack once which is fairly easy to avoid as it will go in the direction where Ganon will teleport to. For the next fire attack, just be as far away from him as possible and it won't be able to hit you, but do beware of them turning into fire bats afterwards which can be annoying. After that phase is over, follow Ganon's teleports and hit him as quickly as possible to avoid his other fire attack, but if he still does use it, just move away as far as possible (but beware of the falling floors). The 4th and final phase is where it can get slightly tricky, and where you also need to be extra cautious. You need to light two beacons while Ganon is shooting a fire bat at you, so make sure to light them fast with the Fire Rod. When he's visible again, ONLY attack him when you know where exactly he will appear, and if you can hit him the moment he appears. If you're even a second late, he'll fire his bat at you which is hard to avoid when you're close to him. Hit him so he's stunned, fire a silver arrow at him and repeat this 4 times. Take your time for the final phase and you'll be just fine. If you do take damage, reset the game and drink a full heal potion as your health/magic bar won't be full upon restart to ensure you can try it again very easily.

Step 4: Miscellaneous achievements (9 missable) | Total points: 145

A Cure For the Muteness (3)
Expose the "mute" man near the desert.

Head to the entrance of the desert south of Link's house, where a man is sitting next to a sign who you will later give a chest to in exchange for a bottle. Lift the sign next to him to make him talk.

Kamicucco! (2)
Start a cucco frenzy.

To get this achievement, head to Kakariko Village and find a chicken. Just keep slashing it over and over again until the chickens have decided to start a war with you.

It's-a Me ....Hario? (3)
Unleash the blue rupees from a portrait of a famous plumber's Hylian doppelganger.

In Kakariko Village, go to one of the east houses that has a portrait of Mario. Approach it and try to pull it, after which rupees will fall out.

Lost Woods Winner (5)
Win the 300 rupee prize in the Lost Woods Treasure Chest Gambling Game

Near the north-eastern exit of the Lost Woods, enter the log and play the gambling minigame. This achievement is pure RNG and therefore it's just a matter of trying over and over again until you win, but it shouldn't take too long. In case you have rupee problems, save before going there and reset on failure.

A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed (2)
Be rewarded for saving a helpless life.

Requirements: None

South of Link's house where you can drain the water, pick up one of the dying fishes. Then go to a watery place (for example north-west of where you currently are) and throw the fish in it for a reward.

A Fishy Exchange (5)
Sell a fish to a merchant.

Requirements: Bug Net, a Bottle

South of Link's house where you can drain the water, pick up one of the dying fishes. Go to the bottle seller and sell the fish to him.

Granny's Coming Along For the Ride [m] (5)
Take a trusting old lady with you on your journey.

Requirements: Magic Powder, Bug Net, a Bottle

This needs to be done before acquiring the Master Sword, after which Kakariko Village is overrun with guards. Outside a house near where the runner is located, an old lady is sweeping the floor. Sprankle some Magic Powder over her and she turns into a fairy, then capture her for the achievement to trigger.

A Fowl Date For Link (3)
Turn a cucco into a woman and see what she has to say.

Requirements: Magic Powder

In the north-western house in Kakariko Village with a bottle on the top side of the house, lift it and sprinkle some Magic Powder on the Cucco hiding underneath.

Catch the running man in Kakiriko village.

This needs to be done before acquiring the Master Sword, after which Kakariko Village is overrun with guards. Approach the runner from the right and as soon as the starts to run away, hold the dash button to catch up to him.

Golden Honey Friend (5)
Release the Good Bee from it's hidden home and stick it in a bottle.

Requirements: Pegasus Boots, Bug Net, a Bottle

In the cave next to where the Ice Rod is located, dash into the statue in the middle of the room inhabited by fairies. A bee will pop out, use the Bug Net to catch it and stick it in a bottle.

The Joy of Entomology (5)
Sell a rare bug to a merchant.

Requirements: Pegasus Boots, Bug Net, a Bottle

The Good Bee that you caught in the "Golden Honey Friend" achievement can be sold to the bottle merchant in Kakariko Village. Just stand in front of him, release the bee, and he will buy it from you.

Masonry Maneuver (5)
Survive the onslaught of all flying tiles without taking damage or hiding in a doorway. (No Cape or Cane of Byrna allowed.)

This achievement can be obtained as early as the Desert Palace, and is also present in the Tower of Hera, Misery Mire, and Ganon's Tower. You will have to skillfully maneuver around all flying tiles without the Cape, Cane, or hiding in the doorway, so your best method would be to either walk around and dodge them or my preferred method, standing against one wall and try to dodge them there while occasionally slashing a tile coming your way.

Spider Bonus (3)
Get a red rupee from a hoarder.

Requirements: Power Glove

The hoarder is a spider hiding underneath stones. Pick up the stone, and he'll try to flee while dropping rupees. I always found this fairly consistent to do at the rock blocking the entrance to Death Mountain in the Light World.

This One's on the House (2)
Be rewarded for your honesty with a bottleful of Medicine of Magic.

Requirements: Zora Flippers, a Bottle

Behind the waterfall next to Zora's domain where you upgrade the Boomerang and Shield, throw in a Bottle. Reply that it is yours, and you will get a free refill.

Toppo the Line Thief (3)
Make Toppo drop an item.

Toppo will stop appearing after having defeated Agahnim in the Light World, but this enemy can be found south of Link's house so it's very easy to do this on a fresh save. Toppo is the enemy that jumps out of the grass and hangs out in the Great Swamp. When he jumps out, cut the grass that is underneath him for Toppo to crash into the ground. Doing so will grand you one of various items.

Stone Hard Cash (3)
Unleash the rupees from from an Agahnim statue.

At the Pyramid of Power, go all the way downstairs and then to the statue furthest on the left. Pull on it to receive rupees.

Monkey Magic (3)
Try to draw Kiki into the Light World.

When heading towards the first dungeon in the Dark World, the Dark Palace, you'll be followed by a monkey that is needed to open the entrance. While he is following you, use the mirror to go to the Light World for this achievement to trigger.

A Link Between Jobs (3)
Get reprimanded for doing your descendant's job.

Once you got the hammer, head to the smithy. Approach the anvil from above and hit it with your hammer.

Link's Longbow Training Master (10)
Achieve a Perfect Score at the Archery Minigame.

South of the Village of Outcasts is where the Archery Minigame is located. Your goal is to hit all 5 arrows on the Octopuses in the back row that are being blocked by the hands. Do so all 5 times, and the achievement is yours.

He's a Golddigger (5)
Earn up 100 rupees or more in the digging minigame. (Must have room for all of them in your purse!)

West of the Archery Minigame in the Dark World is where the digging minigame is located. Keep digging here as fast as you can until you have earned 100 rupees during a single run. As indicated by the description, make sure you have space for all of them. This depends on RNG, but 100 rupees shouldn't be too tough to get.

To the Hereafter (2)
Fulfill the flute boy's final wish and grant him eternal rest.

In the Dark World where you first got the shovel, return to the Flute Boy sitting on a stump after having obtained the Flute. He will ask you to play it, after which he will turn into a stump.

A Cape Not Just For Titans [m] (10)
Get the Magic Cape without having the Titan's Mitt.

Must be done before opening the big chest in Thieves Town. To do this, you need to reach the gravestone in the top-right of the Light World but instead of going there, you need to get to the same location in the Dark World. Once there, use the Mirror to go back to the Light World and dash into the grave and get the Magic Cape.

It's a Trap! [m] (3)
Bring the maiden in Thieves' Town to both places where she will refuse to go further.

After the maiden in Thieves' Town starts following you, bring her to the following two locations:

  1. The entrance of the dungeon
  2. The stairs to the second floor where you would bomb the floor so light can come in

When near the entrance of Turtle Rock in the Dark World, pull on the right hand of the turtle for rupees to come out.

I Shoulda Saved the Others Too? Well Excuuuuuuse Me, Princess! [m] (10)
Rescue Zelda in Turtle Rock before any other maiden.

Once arriving in the Dark World, you may not beat any of the dungeon bosses except the one of Turtle Rock. To access Turtle Rock, you will have need to made significant progress in every dungeon except for the Ice Palace to receive their items. This achievement will pop after defeating Trinexx.

Jack of All Trades [m] (25)
Complete Ganon's Tower without ever entering while possessing a sword, exiting or dying. Must start and finish in one attempt, entirely swordless.

Before anything else, the only way to lose your sword temporarily is to have it tempered at the smithies. This means that you must beat all dungeons, then go to the smithies to get rid of your sword, and then enter Ganon's Tower. What you can do before entering this dungeon is obtaining the Light Arrows and as many hearts and bottles with medicine/fairies (not for revival use) as possible, but you can ignore the latter if you are doing the no-bottle achievement at the same time. While this might sound like a menacing achievement, it is very doable due to how powerful the arrows and hookshot are, as well as the elemental rods and Cane of Somaria. Remember that you may not ever exit the dungeon or die, which will permanently void this achievement for you. For Agahnim, you must use either the Bug Net or Hammer to defeat him. If you are in need of healing, there is a convenient healing spot on the third floor after the bridge where you are barraged by cannons. Use the Pegasus Boots to charge off of the blocks to the south where a breakable wall if located, with many refreshing items inside. If you are somehow in danger, use the Magic Mirror to teleport back to the start of the dungeon, as this will not nullify the achievement for you. Slowly get your health up and try again, and you'll get this in no time.

Link's Not Old Enough To Drink [m] (10)
Defeat Ganon and reach the Triforce without having collected any bottles during the game.

For this achievement, you may not have picked up a single Bottle before defeating Ganon. Check "All Your Bottles Are Belong To Us" to see what locations you should avoid. This also means that during this playthrough, you will not have access to healing outside of enemy/pot drops, nor the revival of a fairy.

Now You're Playing With Power (5)
Enter Chris Houlihan's secret room.

While technically a glitch, being able to do this is fairly easy. There are a total of five ways to enter Chris Houlihan's room, which can all be found in the video below. Follow the most important steps (e.g. bomb blasts getting you off-screen or in a hole, charging into a specific tree or object) and you should be fine. There is no time limit so take your time replicating the steps. You only need to enter one of the specified entrances for this achievement to trigger.
