Eien no Filena

Eien no Filena is a JRPG that is actually loosely based off a light novel series by the same name (Or also referred to Eternal Filena). The story focus' on the story of Filena, a lost princess from a ocean kingdom. And her journey to resurrect her lost kingdom.

This game is relatively easy going & well balanced for a JRPG game generally speaking. It has a relatively good balance between grind & story progression. For this guide I feel it would be best to quickly review the missable achievements before playing, mostly because a lot of the missables are in the first few hours of the game. I wrote this guide with the intent for the player to comfortable master this set & still enjoy the story without concerns of spoilers of any kind. Because of this please note some areas or sections I left somewhat vague not in the intent to make it harder but to keep the spirit of the game still there as well. This guide is mostly for all the missable achievements for Eien no Filena with a few exceptions at the bottom, where I felt that some chests were tough to find or locate the secret path to. So for anyone playing blind I did leave that section down below to help out when or if needed.

3) Gameplay

This is a Turn-Based RPG for the Super Famicom. This means you'll want to talk to everyone in town to gather as much information as you can. ESPECIALLY this game - since some parts won't progress unless you talk to a NPC twice.

The battle system is designed where you can have 3 weapons equipped to each character. This means you can have a sword, spear, & healthpack all in your arsenal during battle. This is nice because some enemies are weak against certain attack types.

Pay attention to secret areas as well. This game has a lot of secret paths where you can walk through walls, generally there is a clue of some kind like a shadow missing so be on the lookout for those.

4) Missable Achievements

When you get to the sewer there are 7 chests to be collected. 5 of them should all be in plain sight as you go through the sewers, with some of them you have to go off the main path a bit. However 2 chests are hidden from view. There will be a point where you will climb a ladder to a small room that leads to another ladder that needs to be climb. In these rooms there is a secret path to the south of these rooms. Head south through the secret path to find a chest. Remember there are 2 rooms like this. There are 2 chests(LindWater & MagicAqua) through a cave path to the garden in the city. 7 chests should be in the mine cart cave. Most of these are pretty visible & shouldn't be too difficult to collect. (HINT you can walk across the rails). Finally the last 3 will be in the escape route through the mines. However be sure to collect the hard to find one hidden behind the scenery

It's here where you will the remaining 4 chests.

Point of no return - Head to the Ghost House to leave Toma

Imperial Capital Bor Collect-a-Thon

Badge Open all chests at Capital Bor

Okay this one is a bit tricky since I'm trying to avoid any spoilers in this guide. There are 17 chests in total for this achievement. However only 5 of them are truly missable, during your first visit to Bor 7 chests will be available. Later in the game you will head back to the city of Bor and reach to different areas on your 2nd visit. It's this visit where the missable 5 chests are located. When you arrive in the area that looks like the screenshot below (i.e. 3F Basement) you want to head to this secret path that's behind the statue to grab all 5 chests.

After you grab these 5 chests through the hidden path. The remaining 4 will be available after the following scenes you might just have to explore a bit.

Point of no return - 2nd Visit to Bor & After the event that takes place.

Collect-a-BOOM

Badge Collect all chests on game

If you have been following this guide & picking up all the chests in the areas where you can no longer return too the rest of the chests are obtainable by either revisiting places you have already been. Good news is this set is generous enough to let you know where they are with achievements tied to them, so hopefully it shouldn't be too bad if you happen to miss one or two along the way. Just in case I did add a few of them that can be a bit tricky to find

Point of no return - Missing any of the areas Missable chests

Nomad Camp:

When you first enter in the caves at Mount Oligot there are two chests across the water. You can move along the side here to get those two chests.

Belushi:

As you cross over the waterfall in Belushi there is a secret chest behind the waterfall here.

Dragonia Tower:

On the first floor of the tower you will see a chest that looks to be in a spot you can't get too. If you go north of the path where you go down some steps to find two chests, there is a secret path to walk through to get to that unreachable chest.
