2) Introduction

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, titled Dragon Warrior II when initially localized to North America, is a role-playing video game developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix in 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System as a part of the Dragon Quest series. Enix's U.S. subsidiary published the American release, Dragon Warrior II, for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990. Dragon Quest II is set one hundred years after the events of the first game.

The game's story centers on the prince of Midenhall, who is ordered to stop an evil wizard named Hargon after Hargon destroys Moonbrooke Castle. On his adventure, he is accompanied by his two cousins, the prince of Cannock and the princess of Moonbrooke. Dragon Quest II expands on the first game by having a larger party, more areas to explore, multiple heroes and enemies in a battle, and a sailing ship.

The achievement set was designed by WarriorTYS and MrGauss, who have done a great job at capturing pretty much everything the game has to offer. This achievement set covers your regular progression, as well as the leveling of characters and the spells they learn, as well as all the major items that can be collected throughout the game.

3) Walkthrough

Step 1: Progression Achievements

This step involves all the progression achievements necessary to see the end of the game, ordered chronologically in an optimal way of how you should proceed through the game in the most efficient way possible. These will detail all the locations and directions you need to go towards, with this guide also featuring a map and an additional walkthrough step that may be highly beneficial for you if you want to get through the game much quicker. For that, check out step 4 of the guide.

Step 2: Leveling Achievements

This step involves all the achievement related to leveling and spell learning. Spells are automatically learned on level up, so you don't need to go out of your way to learn something. There is a general guideline on how you can grind the most efficient included with this step, that can yet again be made more efficient by following step 4 of the guide.

Step 3: Miscellaneous Achievements

This step involves all the miscellaneous achievements, such as collecting gear scattered throughout the world, using specific items, or defeating the legendary Metal Babble. None of these are missable and can be done at any time, given that you have made sufficient progress to be able to do them.

4) Most efficient walkthrough + tips and tricks

The guide is setup in such a way that you will always know where to go, but I wanted to include an additional walkthrough for you to follow that can save you hours of playing by making grinding far more convenient.

Note that the links used below will just bring you to the respective achievement on the site rather than in the guide due to formatting restrictions. Just search for the achievement title and you will find it in the guide.

  • Step 1: Keep progressing until you get access to the sea. There isn't much you can do before it besides regular progression, so just grind when necessary and make your way there.
  • Step 2: Now that you have access to the sea, collecting the Golden Key and Jailor's Key will be your top priority. See Thou Hast a Noble Door Opener and Thou Are a Gaol Breaker in this guide for how you can get them, under progression achievements. You don't need to do any grinding to get both of these items, although 2000G is needed to buy the Jailor's Key.
  • Step 3: With access to both keys, you can get a variety of items. You can find the Token of Erdrick (Thou Hast the Crest of Thine Line) and exchange it for the Helmet of Erdrick (Thine Ancestral Helmet!), the Shield of Erdrick (Thine Ancestral Shield!), the Armor of Gaia (Thou Hast the Protection of the Land), and the Water Flying Cloth (Thou Hast a Sodden Garment).
    • Note that you can get the Water Flying Cloth twice, and this is highly recommended as it is the strongest armour in the game for both the Prince of Cannock and that Princess of Moonbrooke. To do this, get the Magic Loom and the Dew's Yarn, hand it in to the weaver who will make it into a dress, and then just... get the items again, without saving or shutting the game down. After having collected both items again, save the game and reset, then claim the dress and give him the items again for a second one.
  • Step 4: There is an extremely easy way to get money in this game. To do so, head to Midenhall Castle and fight the clown in the basement to get a Staff of Thunder (Thou Hast the Stick of Sages). You can only have one, but due to a glitch, you can sell this staff for 19,500G, then save and reset, and fight the clown again to get another staff. This can be done infinitely and is an incredible source of money. Make sure that after you are done grinding money to get another one as an actual weapon for the Princess of Moonbrooke. With this money, you can buy the following upgrades:
    • Two Falcon Blades (25,000G each) in Tuhn for the hero and for the Prince of Cannock. The Hero won't be needing this until later, but it's good to have.
    • Sword of Light (16,000G) in Wellgarth for the hero, which will be your strongest weapon until you get the Thunder Sword.
    • Four Shields of Strength (21,500G each) in Beran, Tuhn, or Wellgarth. The Prince of Cannock will be equipping this, while all other party members have it in their inventory. In battle it can be used as a free HealMore without needing MP, and is therefore very useful.
  • Step 5: At this point you can either grind around Osterfair or get the Moon Fragment and open the path to the Rhone Cave. This is a tough dungeon, but with careful pathing and good usage of fleeing and the Shield of Strengths, you can make it through and also get two additional upgrades for the hero: the Thunder Sword (Thou Hast the Blade of Storms) and the Armor of Erdrick (Thine Ancestral Armor!). Make it through and head to the shrine to have a save and respawn point.

Now all that is left is grinding, and there is another exploit you can use to speed up grinding quite significantly. While not necessary, getting the Sword of Destruction as a drop from Giants at the Rhone Plateau is highly recommended, and since the drop rate is pretty high and as you'll be grinding here anyway, chances are you'll get it rather quickly.

Now for the exploit. Head to Hargon's Castle, and before entering the castle, equip the hero with the Falcon Sword. This sword will attack twice, but has lower damage as a result. Now, go inside the castle and quip either the Thunder Sword or the Sword of Destruction. The latter will curse you but don't worry, this is all according to plan. Then go outside the castle, and the Falcon Sword has been re-equipped again, but with the power of either of the swords you equipped. As you can imagine, you will do significantly more damage and it will speed up grinding much more.

There is a catch though. Do not open the equip menu as this will recalculate the attack power. When you gain a level, your attack power will also be recalculated, so try to be around the castle every time you are close to gaining a level so you can immediately use the exploit again. Dying will not reset the attack power, so don't worry about being too low leveled. Now that you're here, the grind will be over before you know it! Only level 30 is necessary for all achievements, but you may want to grind just a bit longer because the bosses ahead are quite tough. However, this exploit will work in the castle itself after using the Charm of Rubiss, so you can use this on the bosses as well.

Step 1: Progression Achievements | Total points: 218

'Tis Dangerous to Venture Alone (1)
Find and equip the Copper Sword

Once you start the game, the king will ask you to follow him downstairs. There are two chests waiting for you, with one of them having the Copper Sword. Open the menu by pressing the default A button, then equip it to the Hero.

Thou Art Now Buddies (5)
Add the prince of Cannock to the party

The prince of Cannock and you are unintentionally playing a cat and mouse game. First, head to the Castle of Cannock, which is located to the north-west of the Castle of Midenhall (your starting location). Talk to the king and princess, who will mention the prince is looking for you and went to a cave to the east. Go inside here and make your way to the end, then get told the prince went to Midenhall. What the game actually means is that the prince went to the town to the west of Midenhall and south of Cannock, called Leftwyne. The prince of Cannock will be waiting for you here inside the inn.

Thou Hast an Argent Door Opener (5)
Find the Silver Key

The Silver Key is located in the cave to the far west of Cannock called the Lake Cave. Your reward will be waiting for you at the very end of the dungeon. The quickest way to get there is to go to the far bottom-left on B1F, then find the chest in the bottom-right of B2F.

Thou Art Vain (5)
Find the Mirror of Ra

The Mirror of Ra is located on the next continent, which you can reach after having united with the Prince of Cannock. Once you're on that continent, you'll have to do quite some traveling so make sure you are prepared. First, head to Hamlin which is directly to the south of where you first arrive on the continent. Then, cross the bridge to the south and go south-west to eventually reach Moonbrooke Castle. This castle will give you hints as to where you can find the Mirror, but it is not necessary to obtain it so instead, keep going straight east from the castle. You'll eventually come across a small marsh, and this is where you have to search for the Mirror to find it.

Thou Art Now a Trio (5)
Add the princess of Moonbrooke to your party

Once you have acquired the Mirror of Ra, head back to Hamlin and find the dog in the north-east corner of town. Use the Mirror of Ra on this dog to reveal the transformed princess, who will then join your party!

Thou Hast Conquered the East (10)
Find the Cloak of Wind

The Cloak of Wind is found in the Tower of Wind, which is located south of the marsh where you find the mirror, but you need to go east of Hamlin, take the northern bridge there and follow the path to reach it instead. This tower is on the bigger side, but your objective has a pretty clear-cut way to follow. On the bottom floor, take the stairs found in the top-right corner, and keep going up until you reach a floor where you can take two stairs. Take the first one, follow the path here, and you'll arrive at the Cloak of Wind.

'Tis Not Flying! 'Tis Falling with Style! (3)
Fly across the river between the Dragon Horn Towers

Once you have the Cloak of Wind and have rescued the princess of Moonbrooke, prepare for another long journey with no rest in-between so make sure you are sufficiently leveled. From Moonbrooke Castle, head west, go through the shrine, and head north-west from here until you come across two towers, with you only being able to enter the southern one. Climb to the very top of this tower and stand at the edge. Equip the Cloak of Wind here, and then jump off the tower to land safely at the other tower, triggering this achievement.

Thou Art a Hero (5)
Save the young girl in Lianport

After jumping off the tower in the last achievement, just head north until you come across Lianport. Enter the town, head to the top-left, and save the young girl in a battle against two gremlins.

Thine Inner Bard Hast Awakened (10)
Receive the Echoing Flute as a reward for finding the sunken Treasures

You will receive the ship after having rescued the girl, and the world is now open to you. Given that there is no world map in-game, I will do my best to send you in directions, but feel free to look at the world map I've created at the top of the guide.

This one is fortunately fairly simple; once you get the ship, just keep going north without deviating. You'll eventually come across a whiteish graphic that stands our from the rest of the sea. Dive in the water one square south of it to find the treasures. Then go back to Lianport (directly south) and talk to the man inside the house behind a silver key door, who will give you the echoing flute.

Thou Hast a Noble Door Opener (10)
Find the Golden Key

Getting the Golden Key next is recommended as it will open up a big part of the world. This one can be found in Zahan which, if you are comfortable following my directions, is slightly north-west of the buried treasure you found in the achievement before this one. In this town, you will find a dog who you can interact with, who will walk away to a tree. Where the dog stops is where you want to search for the Golden Key (or somewhere around there, I'm not 100% sure if the dog always ends up at the exact same position).

Thou Art as Bright as the Sun! (10)
Find the Sun Crest

While not immediately relevant, the Sun Crest is nearby Zahan and doesn't require anything to be obtained so you might as well get it out of the way now. From Zahan, sail north-west until you come across an island with a shrine called the Shrine of Fire. This shrine has three teleporters that can be ignored. Instead, walk one square out of the entrance on the right, then three squares up, and one square left so that you end up in the corner. Search the floor here to find the Sun Crest.

Thou Art a Gaol Breaker (10)
Buy the mysterious Jailor's Key (Pssst! Don't tell anyone!)

If you have the Golden Key and 2000 gold, going for the Jailor's Key next is not a bad idea. This key is located in Wellgarth, which is straight to the west of the Shrine of Fire. Once inside, you'll only see a house locked with a Golden Key, but once you take the stairs, you'll end up in an underground city. Here, head to the tool shop and browse the store, and notice a suspiciously empty line with no text. As you might have guessed, select this line to gain the option to buy the Jailor's Key.

Thou Art the Master of Gates (5)
Find the stolen Floodgate Key

The Floodgate Key is found in the same town as where you have bought the Jailor's Key, Wellgarth. If you head to the top-right part of town, you'll come across a jail that looks empty. Enter the jail with the Jailor's Key, then go inside and hug the north wall to go outside. Talk to Roger Fastfinger here and he will give you the stolen Floodgate Key.

Thou Art a Night Owl! (10)
Find the Moon Crest

With both the Golden Key and Jailor's Key, you can pretty much do everything except for heading to the final boss, so let's take this opportunity to get some remaining progression items out of the way. First up is the Moon Crest, which is found in the castle of Osterfair. This is located on an island north of the Shrine of Fire, and south of Midenhall Castle. Obtaining this crest is quite easy: talk to the King, fight his pet, and the crest is yours.

Thou Art as Vast as the Sea! (10)
Find the Water Crest

The Water Crest needs the Jailor's Key, and is located in Hamlin (where you originally found the princess of Moonbrooke). There is an underground area here with a jail, so open it and prepare for a fight against gremlins. Once they are defeated, search the top-right corner of the jail and find the Water Crest.

Thou Art as Brilliant as a Star! (10)
Find the Star Crest

The Star Crest is located in the lighthouse, which is located on an island west of Moonbrooke Castle. This is another pretty large tower, and you want to climb all the way to the top there to find an old man. This old man will then head downstairs again, so follow him until you get to a dead end with a chest. This is a trap which will lead into a battle, so take care of it and receive the Star Crest as a reward.

The tower has so many stairs that it becomes somewhat tough to detail the correct path to take upstairs, apologies for that. Regardless, on the bottom floor you want to take the bottom-left stairs, as these are the only ones that will bring you to your goal rather than to chests you won't really need at this point in the game.

Thou Hast Bade the Waters Flow (3)
Open the floodgate in Tuhn

I can't really explain well how to find Tuhn, so preferably look at the world map I included. If not, then you can reach it by either sailing across the coastline west of Wellgarth, or going east from Osterfair. Take the left-most river going inlands, and travel towards the end after which you are forced to continue your path on land. Follow this path, and you'll end up in Tuhn. In Tuhn, you want to head north of the village until you see a Jailor's Key door. Go down here, and then use the Floodgate Key you got earlier to open up the floodgate.

Ye Olde Lunar Fragment (10)
Find the legendary Moon Fragment

After the floodgate has been opened, you can access the tower south of Tuhn. Finding the Moon Fragment here is pretty straighforward: take the stairs south on the bottom floor, then the middle stairs on the floor above, and keep going up two more stairs until you reach a floor with doors. Open the doors, take the stairs down, and you'll eventually end up at the Moon Fragment.

Thou Hast Parted the Sea (3)
Find the way to Malroth's Cavern

Once you have the Moon Fragment, now it's time to find Malroth's Cavern. This is a small island in the middle of the sea so have fun finding it without my included map, but it's generally south-west of Osterfair Castle so you'll find it there. Use the Moon Fragment in front of the small island and the path will open to Malroth's Cavern.

Thou Hast Poked Evil in the Eye (10)
Find the accursed Eye of Malroth

The Eye of Malroth is, unsurprisingly, found in the now-open Malroth's Cavern. This is another big dungeon, but it does have chests that are worth it so I can generally recommend trying to open them all before heading straight to the main goal. If you are only interested in the main goal however, take the following path:

Floor 1 - Go south-west until you reach stairs.
Floor 2 - Go to the north-west, where you will find stairs that is behind a small path of lava.
Floor 3 - Open the door here and proceed further until you find a big room with many stairs. It generally does not matter too much which stairs you take as they will all bring you to the next floor, but if you want to be closest to the floor after, then take the left stairs on the second row from the top.
Floor 4 - Go to the west side of the floor here across lava. You will find a single set of stairs.
Floor 5 - Just continue onwards here and you'll find the Eye of Malroth.

Thou Hast Raised the Earth (3)
With the help of the Eye of Malroth, find the cave to the Rhone plateau

After you have both the Eye of Malroth and the Jailor's Key, head to the town of Beran. This is located south-east of Osterfair, and north-east of Zahan. In this town, you will find a teleporter behind a Jailor's Key door, which will bring you to a small area with a swamp on the left side. Enter this swamp and use the Eye of Malroth to open the cave to Rhone Plateau.

Thou Art a Lover, and a Fighter! (10)
Find the Heart Crest

You'll find the Heart Crest very quickly after entering the Rhone Cave. Simply take the stairs to the right of the entrance, then head right here to find a chest with the Heart Crest.

Thou Art Charming! (10)
Get the Charm of Rubiss

Once you have all five crests, you need to go to the Shrine of Rubiss. This is a one-tile island in the sea so yet again, look at the map or alternatively, go north from the entrance to the island with Osterfair and you'll also get there. Head down all the way here and stand in the middle, after which Rubiss will hand you the Charm of Rubiss.

Thou Hast Passed Through Hell (10)
Cross the mountains through a cavernous maze to reach the Rhone plateau

Oh boy, Rhone Cave. This dungeon does have a lot of items and it is absolutely highly recommended to get pretty much all of them, including the Lightning Sword and Erdrick's Armor that somehow ended up here. Problem is, it's a massive dungeon with a lot of strong monsters, so make sure you are prepared. I'm going to be somewhat lazy and hand you this map, but if you still want to follow the path that heads straight to the exit, then use the following:

Floor 1 - On the right side of the floor are two stairs going up. You can take either.
Floor 2 - Go right until you have passed two paths going up- and down. Take the third one for stairs.
Floor 3 - Take the stairs in the north-eastern corner of the floor (go north from where you start). Take the stairs you see right after this one as well.
Floor 4 - The stairs are south of where you are, but be wary of holes in the floor you cannot see. From the strais, go south until you bump in the wall, then go two tiles left, then go south until you hit another wall, then go right and up the stairs.
Floor 5 - This is a maze-like floor, but there is only one exit (which is also the exit of the cave). Your general goal is to make it to the right side of the floor until you get the option to go up or down. Here, go up, then take the left path, then right at the end and you're there.

Ye Olde Evile Prieste (5)
Vanquish the mad cultist of Rhone, Hargon

You'll be facing Hargon and Malroth back-to-back in Hargon's Castle, and with this being the final dungeon, make sure you are geared up and a high level. There used to be an achievement for getting to level 40, and while it's not necessary anymore, I still would recommend getting close to it because they are tough boss fights. Multiple Shield of Strengths (unequipped) are recommended, as they function as a free HealMore when used in battle. You may also want to use the exploit regarding increased strength with no drawbacks for the hero if you are a lower level.

When at Hargon's Castle, use the Charm of Rubiss to dispel the illusion. Then follow the path behind the throne until you end up at Hargon. For Hargon, just keep attacking him with the Hero, while the Princess casts healing spells every turn. The Prince of Cannock can do whatever is necessary for that turn, be it healing, buffing/debuffing, or just doing damage. Keep in mind that Hargon attacks twice per turn, so definitely be prepared for that if your HP is low.

Thine Quest, 'Tis Over! (25)
Vanquish the otherworldly demon, Malroth

Malroth follows up right after Hargon and is even tougher, but fortunately only attacks once per turn. The same strategy applies: the Hero attacks, the Princess heals, and the Prince of Cannock does whatever is necessary at that point in time. Do not be afraid to use all your MP on healing if necessary, as this truly is the final boss so you should throw everything you have at him.

Thou Shalt Not Be Selfish (5)
Refuse your father's offer

After the big baddies are dealt with, head back to Midenhall Castle and talk to your father. Once he asks you to become king, just say no, after which he rejects your no so you will get the chance to say yes right after.

Thou Hast Found Peace (10)
Write your legend in the halls of history!

This will trigger after the conversation with your father. Congratulations, you have beaten the game!

Step 2: Leveling Achievements | Total points: 104

Thou Hast Leveled Up (2)
Have your hero reach level 2
Thou Hast Becometh Swole (3)
Have your hero reach level 5
Thou Art Large (5)
Have your hero reach level 10
Thou Art a Slayer (10)
Have your hero reach level 20
Thou Art Ready for Anything (25)
Have your hero reach level 30

Level 30 is something you'll easily reach over the course of the game, as attempting to fight the final boss with less is practically a death wish. You can do it but uh, don't blame me for all the frustration that comes with it. Once you have access to the Jailor's Key, prioritize getting money and better gear to make the grinding more comfortable (see step 4 of the guide). Keep in mind that, depending on the risk you are willing to take, you can make it to Rhone Cave at a far earlier level and thus also make grinding far quicker. These are the following recommended grinding spots per area (taking the Hero's level as indicator):

Level 1 to 8 - Recommended to do before heading to Moonbrooke. Get to around level 3 with the Hero, then initiate the search for the Prince of Cannock. Now having two party members, grind his levels up a bit around Cannock as he joins at level 1, then head to the Lake Cave east of Cannock and grind there.
Level 9 to 12 - Again, prioritize unlocking the Princess of Moonbrooke as your third party member. She will start at level 1, so grind around Hamlin for a while until she has enough levels, while the Hero gets closer to around level 12. Grinding around Hamlin should suffice as you are close to a healing spot, but the Tower of the Wind does have stronger enemies for more experience, so take whichever you prefer doing.
Level 13 to 16 - Grinding around Lianport is generally not a bad idea, and once you get the boat you can also get to Tantegal. This is the point where you can start hunting for the Golden and Jailor's Key though, so just work towards that as well as other goals, like Erdrick's Sword.
Level 17 to 25 - I find it comfortable to grind outside Osterfair, as here are good enemy spawns including Metal Slimes, sometimes in big groups too. While you will certainly not kill all Metal Slimes, even killing just one will be a great source of experience. If you are not comfortable with moving on, there is absolutely no demerit to staying here for a while longer and grinding Metal Slimes as well as the other enemies. Do mind that you can go to Rhone Cave already and start grinding with the exploit, but it will be tough to get through the cave.
Level 26 to 30 - Either keep killing Metal Slimes, or move on to Rhone Cave where you can encounter Metal Babbles for even more experience... though they are tougher to kill and only come alone. The downside of Rhone Cave is that it has a ton of strong enemies, but you want to get here anyway to get the Lightning Sword and, even though you won't use it right away, the Sword of Darkness as a drop from giants. You definitely want to get this sword, trust me.
Level 31 and beyond - This is not necessary for the achievement, but I can still highly recommend it just because of the difficulties ahead. Grinding both at the Rhone Monolith, as well as Hargon's Castle are both highly recommended due to the high experience drops, and Rhone Monolith having a save/heal spot. Definitely check out the exploit mentioned in step 4 to speed up the grind.

Find the secret basement of Moonbrooke Castle

Once in Moonbrooke Castle, head to the top-left part of the castle and go outside. Then hug the left wall going downwards to find an entrance, leading to stairs.

Thou Hast the Crest of Thine Line (5)
Find the Token of Erdrick

Once you have found the Golden Key, head to Midenhall Castle and open the door on the right side to lead to a room with five chests. One of those chests has the Token of Erdrick.

Thine Ancestral Shield! (5)
Receive the legendary Shield of Erdrick

Once you have found the Golden Key, head to Cannock Castle and open the door here to find a chest with the Shield of Erdrick.

Thine Ancestral Helmet! (10)
Prove your lineage and receive the legendary Helmet of Erdrick

Once you have the Token of Erdrick, head to the holy shrine south of Rimuldar (same location as Dragon Warrior 1) and exchange the token for the helmet.

Thou Hast Finished the Wrong Quest! (10)
Find and talk to the grandson of the legendary Dragonlord
Thine Ancestral Sword! (5)
Find the legendary Sword of Erdrick

The Dragonlord's grandson and the Sword of Erdrick are in the exact same location they were Dragon Warrior 1. If you have played that, you won't have any trouble finding this guy, but if you didn't (you monster), you can find Charlock Castle south-east of Tintegal. Go into the cave and keep following the path until you arrive at the floor with two stairs next to each other. To find the Sword of Erdrick, take the southern stairs and follow the path until you reach a chest. To find the Dragonlord's grandson, take the western stairs and follow the path.

Thou Hast the Blade of Storms (10)
Find the legendary Thunder Sword

The Thunder Sword is located in the Rhone Cave. To get to this item, you need to:

Floor 1 - On the right side of the floor are two stairs going up. You can take either.
Floor 2 - Go right until you have passed two paths going up- and down. Take the third one for stairs.
Floor 3 - Take the stairs in the north-eastern corner of the floor (go north from where you start). Take the stairs you see right after this one as well.
Floor 4 Fall down in any pit, or take the stairs at the northern part of the room if you somehow miraculously fail to find a pit. Then, go to the bottom-left of the room to fall in another pit, which will bring you to the Thunder Sword.

Thine Ancestral Armor! (10)
Find the legendary Armor of Erdrick

The Armor of Erdrick is located in the Rhone Cave. To get to this item, you need to:

Floor 1 - On the right side of the floor are two stairs going up. You can take either.
Floor 2 - Go right until you have passed two paths going up- and down. Take the third one for stairs.
Floor 3 - Take the stairs in the south-eastern corner of the floor (go north from where you start). Take the stairs you see right after this one as well.
Floor 4 - Open the only chest you see here.

Thou Hast the Stick of Sages (10)
Find the powerful Staff of Thunder

The Staff of Thunder requires the Jailor's Key to get. Once you have that, head back to Midenhall Castle and go in the basement to find a locked-up evil clown. Defeat him in battle to receive the Staff of Thunder.

Thou Hast the Protection of the Land (5)
Find the powerful Armor of Gaia

The Armor of Gaia requires the Golden Key to get. Once you have that, head to Osterfair and walk around the weapon shop to find a Golden Key door. Once you have that, enter the weapon shop from behind and loot the chests here for the Armor of Gaia.

Thou Hast a Sodden Garment (10)
Make the magical Water Flying Cloth

The Water Flying Cloth requires two items: the Magic Loom and the Dew's Yarn.

  • The Dew's Yarn can be found on the third floor of the northern Dragon Horn tower (the one you didn't need to enter). You need to search the floor somewhere here for the Dew's Yarn, which should be five steps right and two steps down from the stairs leading down.
  • The Magic Loom can be found in Zahan, and requires the Jailor's Key. Cast StepGuard to pass the damaging floors, then open the door on the west for this item.

Once you have both items, head to Tuhn and given both items to the weaver. Save your game and reset, then talk to the weaver again to receive the Water Flying Cloth.

Thou Hast Celestial Foliage (5)
Receive a sacred leaf of the World Tree

The World Tree is located west and slight south of the Shrine of Fire, as well as east of the peninsula of Wellgarth. Walk up to the trees in the middle and search to find a leaf.

Prithee, Magicke Ring (5)
Use the Wizard's Ring to recover some of your MP during a battle (let us hope it doesn't break!)

There are multiple ways to obtain a Wizard's Ring, be it from winning the lottery or getting it as a rare drop from Bullwongs. However, if you only want to get one for the achievement, just open the Jailor's Key door in the east of Zahan, opposite of the Magic Loom. Then use it in battle whenever you please (and when your MP isn't at the maximum) and the achievement is yours. The Wizard's Ring can also be found in the Tower of the Moon and Malroth's Cavern.

Thine King is Bare (5)
Find the missing king of Tantegel

In Tantegel, head up the weapon shop stairs once you have the Golden Key. Then open the door and talk with the king inside.

Thou Art a Millionaire (5)
Defeat a Metal Babble

The Metal Babble can be found in five locations:

  • Around Tuhn.
  • In the Tower of the Moon.
  • In Malroth's Cavern.
  • In Rhode Cave.
  • In Hargon's Castle.

For this achievement, I would just recommend waiting until you get to Rhode Cave/Hargon's Castle, as they are very tough to kill. A Falcon Sword is recommended, but if you want to guarantee getting this achievement, the weapon exploit mentioned in step 4 will guarantee you a kill rather sooner than later. As always, keep in mind that they can easily flee, so multiple encounters will likely be necessary.
