Before starting the game, there are a few technical adjustments you should make for a smoother and more enjoyable experience.
In the Dolphin Emulator, open the Controller menu from the toolbar, then select Configure under Emulated Wii Remote. If youโre using a controller, configure it normally under the General and Options tabs. However, our main focus is the Motion Simulation tab.
This part is crucial. In the Shake section, assign the Y, X, and Z axes to a trigger or button you find comfortable. Personally, I use the right trigger on my controller. Next, set the Intensity to its maximum value (I use 50.00c), and the Frequency to a fairly low level; 3.00 Hz works best in my experience.
Important
If you donโt have a real Wii Remote, make sure your controller supports motion simulation or gyroscope input.
Here are a few budget-friendly controllers that include motion sensors:
- PowerA Fusion Pro 2
- NACON PS4 Controller
- GameSir G7 Pro
If you donโt have a compatible controller, donโt worryโyou can still play comfortably using a mouse and keyboard. In fact, for more intense levels and challenges, this setup can often be easier to handle.
The single-player Adventure Mode provides a rich narrative framework for applying your demolition skills across four distinct worlds. Your journey begins in the Gem Kingdom, where you defend precious resources and hapless sheep from medieval marauders, utilizing tactical throwing against enemies and structures. You then navigate the tropical Gorilda Rescue, where mastering the Grab Tool is essential to clear paths for baby Gorildas through perilous, platform-based puzzles. Next, the western setting of Boots n' Bandits challenges you with precise mining and protecting cows by using explosives to collapse enemy bandit bases. Finally, in the spooky Haunted Night, you must switch to pure defense, using projectiles to guard Mitten Kittens and building protective barriers against relentless waves of skeletons and reapers. In essence, Adventure Mode is a strategic tour that constantly evolves the core objective, ensuring every throw and grab has consequences.

These challenges are focused in Adventure Mode, the core challenge shifts to time management and resource deployment. Expect to replay levels, learning enemy spawn patterns and practicing swift, accurate grabbing for rescue missions. Always prioritize threats: a small Zero Bandito stealing a gem is often more dangerous than a slow Lord Browning. The Grab Tool puzzles, in particular, demand smooth, patient movementsโyank too hard, and the whole structure might prematurely collapse against you.

Ignore the gems for a moment and take out all 8 Duke and Sherman Woolingtons in any Gem Harvest level. These are your targets: ![]() - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter a Gem Harvest level. - A Measured Indicator tracks how many targets has been knocked down up to 8. |
In any Sneaky Thieves level, prioritize the gem blox and successfully complete the puzzle while ensuring you save at least 2 friendly sheep from the thieving bears. Beyond saving Gems, save your people too: ![]() - If more than two sheep are gone, the indicator will disappear. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter a Sneaky Thieves level. - A Measured Indicator tracks how many sheep are in the level up to 4. |
Complete the challenging demolition puzzle Gem Kingdom -> Indefensible (Warriors, Lvl 06) by rapidly eliminating the enemy threat, ensuring that at least 4 of your army units survive the attack. - If your entire army is gone, the indicator will disappear. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter a Warriors level. - A Measured Indicator tracks how many sheep are in the level up to 8. |
Achieve a Silver Medal or better in Gorilda Rescue -> Interruption (Escape, Lvl 02) while aggressively using the Grab Tool to clear the Gorilda's path and dispose of exactly 19 hostile enemies. - The indicator will disappear once the time frame exceeds the silver medal threshold. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter the leve. - A Measured Indicator tracks how many enemies are disposed up to 19. |
Accidentally (or intentionally) knock down at least 2 baby Gorildas before successfully completing any of the difficult Crossing levels in Gorilda Rescue. Shoot these: ![]() - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once 2 Gorilda babies are knocked down. |
Demonstrate exceptional speed and precision in the delicate Grab Tool puzzle Gorilda Rescue -> Lava Bomb (Rescue, Lvl 06) by completing the entire stage and saving all Gorilda babies in under 1 minute. - If the required time runs out, the indicator will disappear. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter the level. - A Measured Indicator tracks time as %, and pauses when the game is paused. |
In any of Boots n' Bandits -> Gold Mine levels, use your initial bomb(s) to make a whole in the wood blocks so that your pre-score counter can have a chance to reach 64 Nuggets or higher before you begin using the bouncy balls. Tip: sometimes, the bomb tool is useless. You might need to get rid of it and start using the rubber ball (bouncy ball) directly instead. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once a pre-score of 64 Nuggets is acquired. |
Earn the Gold Medal in Boots n' Bandits -> Bombinoes (Blastinโ Site, Lvl 04) by placing your bombs so effectively that only a single external detonation is required to trigger one bomb required to finish the level with a Gold Medal. Warning: Be careful, as the NPC, Boots Beaverton, will detonate nearby bombs; make sure to keep them away from him. - If you destroy more than one bomb, the indicator will disappear. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter the level. |
Complete the rigorous defense mission Boots n' Bandits -> Gate Guards (Bandit Blast, Lvl 05) with the Gold Medal (5 Cows saved) while restricting yourself to a maximum of 64 shots fired. Tip: If you get a chance to shoot the boxes that the NPCs, Spanky Babadoo, are spawning from, it can make the challenge easier. However, this approach is precise and may not work every time. Also, using a Wii Remote or a controller with a motion sensor can be tricky for this challenge; consider using a mouse and keyboard instead. - If more than 64 shots are exceeded, or if any of the baby cows are harmed, the indicator will disappear. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter the level - A Measured Indicator tracks how many shots are fired up to 64. |
Achieve the Gold Medal in Haunted Night -> Fear of Fog (Spooky Woods, Lvl 04) by ensuring that every one of the 8 visible Bomb Blox on the map is successfully destroyed during your run. Warning: careful not to hit this one too early, as doing so will knock down the entire Emily Mitten kittens. ![]() - If any of the kittens are gone, the indicator will disappear. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter the level - A Measured Indicator tracks how many bombs are available in the level up to 8. |
In any of Haunted Night -> Lost Kittens levels (using the Grab Tool), utilize the environment to actively knock down or crush at least 10 advancing hostile enemies. (e.g Skully McGills and Gurgless Grimms) Tip: You can use Chemical Blox to instantly knock down a pile of enemies. The easiest level to complete this in is the fourth one, where enemies are dumb enough to chase Emily Mitten and fall off a ledge easily. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter the level. - A Measured Indicator tracks how many enemies are knocked down up to 10. |
Successfully complete the final baseball-only defense challenge in Haunted Nights -> Spooked (Grave Battle, Lvl 06) without losing more than a single dog (Buster Maguff) to the relentless undead horde. - If more than 2 dogs are gone, the indicator will disappear. - A Trigger Indicator is displayed once you enter the level. - A Measured Indicator tracks how many dogs are in the level up to 4. |
