This game is not a hard game, you cannot die, and the game only really "ends" when you complete the game with 100% done. You can use the password system to save/load if you need to, but you can complete this game easily in under 30 minutes. You should be prepared to do 2 runs of this game, and you may need a 3rd run to capture a missing challenge achievement. This guide will go through without using your powers on the first time you reach Kardal.
Start a game, watch the cutscene where you and your girls are having a picnic while Sultan Kartal creeps on you. He steals the genie lamps and runs off and now you need to go save your friends and reform the Sultan's ways.
You are now in control in the Crystal City, and you need to collect the Elemental Crystals, learn how to use those powers, then rescue your Genie friends.
Going from Left to Right: Grab the Carpet (1/14) and give it to the Lady in the window for a treasure (1/15):

While your here, you would have passed some cats in the windows, go back and interact with any of the cats for the Terra Challenge (1/6):
Swing up to the roofs and collect your first crystal (1/4):
Interact with the parrot for the Terra Challenge (2/6):
Drop to the ground level and talk to the kid between the two women dressed in blue:

Proceed to the right grab the next crystal (2/4):
A little further to the right is the Palace, enter it and begin your first maze.
There are three objectives in this maze. I will leave it to you to go through the maze, but note that you want the Harp (2/14) in the upper left section of the maze (Tower), one crystal (3/4) in center bottom of the Maze (Garden), and the top right of the maze for the last crystal (4/4) (Library).


After collecting all three items, go back to the entrance and talk to the Queen. She will have you match the crystals to elements, and then have you use those elements to destroy the blocks we will see later.
Completing the tasks she awards you a Medallion and you have become a Genie yourself... minus the lamp.

Before we disembark on our journey to free our friends, we should clean up the last remaining tasks in the Crystal City so we don't have to come back here later.
Leaving the Crystal Palace, head right to the Mother/Child combo milling about. Talking with them, she will give you her husband's Lunch (3/14). He's at the very start of the city, so head all the way back to the man and talk with him netting you a treasure (2/15):

Either on your way to deliver the food, or on your way out of the city, talk to the old man at the top of the stairs, returning his Harp, and gaining another piece of treasure(3/15):
Let's leave this city and start rescuing some genies! Head all the way right and enter the Forest
On first entering we will see that our friends were not putting up with the Sultan's shenanigans, so naturally his plan is to imprison them all for all eternity.
Right as we start, interact with the butterfly right at the entrance (3/6):
Once you pestered that butterfly move into the forest and find this man in the tree house:
Talking to him, he advises a little quid pro quo. You help him water some plants, he will give you the means to free a powerful genie that's been enslaved. Totally reasonable. Those plants need watering.
Solving the first watering challenge will net you Terra's Ring. Keep talking to him and watering plants to power up the ring fully.
REMEMBER: If you are going for "Deny Your Power", DO NOT press/use your powers button with any fully powered ring equipped

Once down, go to the forest floor, and move to the right and talk to the horse without equipping Terra's Ring to be snubbed by it.

Enter the Magical Mines to the right of the horse. Same story as the last maze, but there is only one objective, save Terra. Navigate to the right, save Terra, and retrace your steps back out. Ignore the shortcut this run, we will use it later.

We are done with this area for now, so let's grab the boy's Bow (4/14), and give it back to him for another treasure (4/15).

We are going to the City in the Clouds, get there by going all the way up and to the right.
It's time for us to get the ring you will have equipped 99% of the time, but let's just quickly knock out the birds on our way (4/6)`:
Talk to this guy, who I assume is the King, and he will ask you to train a Pegasus. The first time he will give you the ring, and every time after he will power up your ring. Assuming you are doing the Deny Your Power achievement, it's easiest if you don't max it out right now and come back to it later, so you can't accidently trigger your power, but it's your call.

Collect the Feather (5/14) just above the King, and if you haven't already been Snubbed by a Horse, then I recommend you get it now by talking to the Pegasus to the right of the King (without Terra's Ring Equipped ofcourse). If you haven't already, equip Sylvia's Ring to speed up your movement.

We have done everything we can in the City of Clouds, so lets free Sylvia. Navigate to the top right of the area and enter the Secret Cloud.
Here we have 2 possible things to do in this area, Save Sylvia, and get the Crystal Raindrop. We are going to skip the Crystal Raindrop for now as it requires fire powers to unlock. You can though get to the Genie lamp by going through the lower pathway and wrap around to the upper right side of the Maze. Once you save her, make your way back through the Maze.

Exit back into the City of Clouds, and move to the bottom right of the screen and enter the Dragon's Playground.
Ok, we are dropping down from the sky, and get the Toy (6/14) in the tree:
Fly a little up to interact with the Dragonfly (5/6)
We will now talk to this lady to help her cleanup the bed so her dragons can sleep, netting you the ring.
Keep talking to her and keep cleaning up the bed to power up the ring fully.

Talk to the kid just a little further right and give him the Toy to get your treasure (5/15).
and now it's time to go into the Dragon Nursery. Entering here we can collect a Necklace, which we will hold off on as we need Marid's Ring powered up, and to save Fiera from an eternity in a Nursery.
We can also complete our first Genie Challenge of the game, getting to Fiera without using her ring. Enter the maze and equip Feira's Ring and find your way to the lamp without freeing her. Then route your pathway with directions. You will find that the animations on Barbie does not stop playing even if you are hitting a wall, but you will note that the camera snaps into position when she stops moving, and if she is at the bottom of the area, etc, the camera does not center on her. You can use this to identify where you are with how the camera responds. Leave the Nursery and enter again without Fiera's Ring equipped to try again.

You can equip Fiera's Ring and make your way back out, or use Sylvia's Ring and feel your way back out.
Once out, grab the Bottle (7/14) just to the right of the entrance, and talk to the girl to the left of the entrance to give her the Bottle and get a treasure (6/15).

Head off to the right and talk to this guy to get the Mermaid's Gift (8/14) and leave to Hidden Atlantis.
Hidden Atlantis/Coral Reef
Ok, unlike regular Atlantis, we are going to Hidden Atlantis. You find out that all the merfolk are asleep due to the Sultan's magic, but he didn't take into account that the turtle can talk, and has Marid's Ring we are looking for. Talk to the turtle to get Marid's Ring and perform his task of catching fish in order of it being displayed. Power up the ring as well at this time. Wear Marid's Ring to speed yourself up in this area.

So, we are going for Marid's Challenge, so lets do some prep work before heading into the Coral Reef. We are going to collect the Magic Wand (9/14), Fishing Net (10/14)

We are going to need to complete all the quests related with the sleeping Alantinians, it won't take long if we have the items all pre-collected, so let's go to the Coral Reef.
Before saving Marid, lets get the Ribbon(11/14) first.

Timer is now active, lets get delivering these items. Navigate back to Atlantis go to the far right where the shipwreck is and work your way to the left. Talk to this lady and she will take Mermaid's Gift from you, which the man by the shore gave you, and in return she will give you the Bracelet (12/14).
A little to the left along the ocean/sea floor, this lady is looking for her Ribbon. Give it to her for your treasure (7/15).
A little more to the left of the Coral Entrance and up, we see this older Atlantinian looking for his wand. Give it to him and get your treasure (8/15).
Almost directly to the left of the previous fellow, we see this Atlantinian, who will help you craft the Rainbow Potion. Try to solve this quickly if you are attempting Marid's Challenge.

Move Up and to the left and talk to the little boy by the talking turtle and give him a fishing net, and he will give you a treasure in return (9/15)
Now, lets wrap up Marid's Challenge by moving back to Dragon Playground and give him the Bracelet, netting you another treasure (10/15), and two achievements if you kept within the time challenge.

We are moving into the end game now!
We have the Rainbow Potion, so we can enter the Palace. A reminder to not use your powers and find your way to the sultan at the top right of the maze.
Talking to him has Barbie and the girls teaching him a lesson, and triggering the game to be completed on Retroachievements. If you followed the guide you will be put back into the game being advised there are still things for you to do.

Now, time for cleanup.
Navigating back through the game, we are going to be able to use our powers and collect the items/treasures we had to leave behind.
Dragon Nursery - Use Marid's Ring's power to extinguish the flames and collect the Necklace (13/14).
City of Clouds - Give the Necklace to the lady who dropped it for a treasure (11/15)
Secret Cloud - Get the Crystal Raindrop (14/14) by using Fiera's Ring to burn away the clouds.

City of Clouds - Go a bit south and find the blacksmith, and use Fiera's power to start up his over, talk to him after casting (without having him leave your screen) to net another treasure (13/15).

Magical Forest - Equip Terra's Ring and talk to the horse, you already have the feather, turning him into a pegasus, and he will grant you a treasure (14/15).

So now we can do our second play through and complete these challenges. Seeing as you most likely know how to interact with the game well enough, you may be able to knock both off. That said, I would recommend focusing on "Are We Forgetting Someone?" firstly as it will help you refine your pathing.
