(WIP) Continental Circus (Arcade) - RetroAchievements/guides GitHub Wiki

This guide is made to help with understanding each track in the game. It will show checkpoint counts and other places of interest on each track.

Track Guides

Each checkpoint adds 30 seconds. Green dots indicate my recommended spot to start the Grave Chaser achievement.

Brazil

1 Brazil Guide

Time at start: 60 seconds

3 pit stops, 2 checkpoints

The first and longest track in this game. Brazil is a fair but lengthy introduction to the world of Continental Circus, with a decent variety of turns mixed in with straightaways.

America

2 USA Guide

Time at start: 30 seconds

2 pit stops, 2 checkpoints

The second track starts off with a sharp difficulty spike within the first four turns. You may also encounter rain here, this is the first track that it has a chance of rain happening.

France

3 France Guide

Time at start: 40 seconds

2 pit stops, 1 checkpoint

The third track is the shortest track. With less aggressive turns and plenty of straightaways, you can really unleash high speeds, so long as you avoid the slowpoke traffic! You can go off track safely on the outside of Turn 3 to avoid traffic or letting go of the throttle.

Monaco

Time at start: 70 seconds

1 pit stop, 1 checkpoint

This is the third longest track. There are several sharp turns, and only one checkpoint and pit stop just outside the tunnel. Be very careful of traffic hogging each turn and limit your explosions to two.

Germany

Time at start: 40 seconds

2 pit stops, 1 checkpoint

This is a pretty short track with high speed potential like France, except it has dangerous turns saved for the very end, and the time limit is very strict. I recommend not exploding at all; even taking one pit stop is risky, so if it's raining and you feel the need to take the rain tires, the safest way is after your car is already smoking.

Spain

Time at start: 70 seconds

2 pit stops, 1 checkpoint

The second longest course in the game. Unlike every track before, this is the first course where the checkpoint is located after the last pit stop, so try to keep your car accident free

Mexico

Time at start: 50 seconds

1 pit stop, 1 checkpoint

Mexico can absolutely wreck you with its two nasty hairpin turns. The difference between them is that one has a pit stop waiting for you afterwards; the other one can be completely conquered, if your car is in the right place. Beware the last two turns and the slow traffic cruising in the middle lane.

Japan

Time at start: 45 seconds

1 pit stop, 1 checkpoint

Ah yes, Japan; the final course in the game, which you only have one chance to beat. Even though it has a strict time limit, one of (if not the most) the hardest pit stop lanes to enter, and a checkpoint less than halfway through, this is not the hardest track to race on. There are only two turns that will cause a lot of trouble; unless it is raining, you do not want to crash on these turns as they are past the pit stop and too far to reach the finish without exploding. Like in Germany, you do not want to explode here; stay vigilant and avoid the traffic. If you have the lead, there is no reason to drive aggressively. When coming down the home stretch,
