How to run Saturn games on yabause? - Retro-Arena/RetroPie-Setup GitHub Wiki
Using yabause on ORA Image
The ORA v1.5 image has yabause as the default emulator for Sega Saturn system. Here's how you can get it running.
BIOS
We suggest using a Region Free BIOS as there is no BIOS selector within the emulator.
Place your BIOS file in:
/home/pigaming/RetroPie/BIOS/
- saturn_bios.bin
| File | Region | md5sum | CRC32 | Comment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| saturn_bios.bin | Free | bde8d6225194b1be7d7127f9f5a7bb29 | ||
| saturn_bios.bin | Japan | 3240872c70984b6cbfda1586cab68dbe |
Roms
Place your .cue, .img, .ccd, .sub files in:
/home/pigaming/RetroPie/roms/saturn
Controller Configuration
It is assumed you already configured your controller(s) in EmulationStation. Once you have loaded your game, you can press Select on your controller to bring the menu that will allow you to configure your controllers on screen.
Note: The public release of ORA v1.5.0 image has a bug with controllers being swapped in the emulator. To fix this issue, go update the emulator in RetroPie Setup -> Manage Packages -> exp -> yabause -> Update from Binary. The ORA v1.5.1+ image has this issue corrected.
