BIOS
Download the Mame BIOS pack. Place the following BIOS files in:
/home/pigaming/RetroArena/BIOS/dc
- airlbios.zip
- awbios.zip
- f355bios.zip
- f355dlx.zip
- hod2bios.zip
- naomi.zip
Roms
Rom Formats
Mame roms (0.198 and above) are now supported. Bin/dat rom files are now deprecated.
Place your .zip files in:
/home/pigaming/RetroArena/roms/naomi for Naomi
And
/home/pigaming/RetroArena/roms/atomiswave for Atomiswave
If you prefer not to split your roms between Naomi and Atomiswave, either folder will work and launch the game without issue.
Error Codes
If you get an error code during boot, you will need to enter TEST mode. To do this, go to RetroArch RGUI then Options and enable Allow Naomi service buttons. You can enter TEST mode via L3 button and R3 to cycle thru menu items.
ERROR 02
Display: THIS GAME IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY MAIN BOARD.
Resolution: The game isn't compatible with the USA BIOS, Select Japan as the Region in RetroArch RGUI Options.
CAUTION 51
Display: GAME ASSIGNMENTS ARE INCORRECT. SET CORRECTLY IN SYSTEM ASSIGNMENTS OF TEST MODE.
Resolution: Enter TEST mode. Go to System Assignments -> Cabinet Type -> 1Player(s)
CAUTION 54
Display: GAME ASSIGNMENTS ARE INCORRECT. SET CORRECTLY IN SYSTEM ASSIGNMENTS OF TEST MODE.
Resolution: Enter TEST mode. Go to System Assignments -> Monitor Type -> Vertical. This will cause the game to display sideways, set the Screen Orientation to Vertical in RetroArch RGUI Options menu.
Compatibility List
The spreadsheet has been updated with BIN and Mame tabs. The BIN tab is outdated. The Mame tab has a list of roms to stay away from as they have issues.
